Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue/Sixx:A.M. Teams up with BluBlocker Sunglasses For Limited Edition Signature Shades

Rock Star and BluBlocker® Sunglasses launch new online exclusive promotion.

LAS VEGAS,-- It all started by chance. Nikki Sixx was attending an event and noticed his manager wearing a pair of neat looking shades. Sixx borrowed the pair and wouldn't give them back.

"I was blown away with these BluBlocker sunglasses and asked my manager to find the head of the company that makes them. I wanted to share my discovery with my fans," says Sixx.
Sixx's management team contacted Joe Sugarman, founder of the company and a big fan of Sixx. "This was a match made in heaven," says Sugarman. "We plan to create a special style for Sixx and his fans." "When an artist genuinely loves a product like this, the fans respect the integrity of the partnership," says Lori Lambert, who brokered the deal.
The style Sixx fell in love with was the pair introduced in the 80's on national television. It soon became a major hit with BluBlocker selling over 20 million pairs throughout the world.
More recently, the BluBlocker Aviator style Sixx selected was the same one that appeared in the hit movie, The Hangover and worn by Zach Galifianakis and the baby throughout the movie.  As a result of the movie and a revival of the aviator look, BluBlocker has been appealing to a young, style savvy audience.
After two months of refining a program for his fans, Sixx will be offering a special package of his favorite pair in a special Nikki Sixx collector's box along with a carrying case and special insert and message to his fans. The first 200 purchasers of the style will also receive a signed autograph. As an added bonus, buyers will receive an exclusive BluBlocker pin and the very popular BluBlocker neck strap. This online exclusive deal starts August 1st.  The Sixx designer model retails for just $49.95.  Shop at: http://www.blublocker.com/collections/nikki-sixx
About BluBlocker:  The origin of BluBlocker sunglasses started with the NASA space program. Astronauts needed strong protection for their eyes in outer space where ultraviolet rays were much stronger than on earth. By blocking blue rays objects appeared sharper and clearer since blue light did not focus on the retina which is the focusing screen of the eye.
Joe Sugarman, a direct marketing expert, immediately saw the opportunity to introduce this exciting new product. In his ad campaign he pointed out the advantages of blocking all of the UV and blue light—something the average sunglass wearer was not aware of. "We look forward to a long relationship with Sixx," says Sugarman.
