FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE SETS RECORD FOR FASTEST SELLOUT EVER AT CHAIFETZ ARENA

(August 9, 2013) – Country duo Florida Georgia Line set a new record for the fastest sellout ever at Chaifetz Arena when tickets to their upcoming show on Friday, November 1 sold out in less than nine minutes at the Saint Louis University venue, according to Global Spectrum, operators of the facility.
Florida Georgia Line has been no stranger lately to breaking records. On July 26, they broke the record at Sears Centre Arena in Chicago for fastest sellout when they sold out all tickets to their October 31st performance within the first five minutes. Last week, Florida Georgia Line set the all-time record for most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country songs chart with “Cruise.”
“We are thrilled and honored that Florida Georgia Line is headed to Chaifetz Arena,” said Global Spectrum’s Jim Wynkoop, General Manager of Chaifetz Arena. “It’s no surprise that with their popularity in the market, they sold-out so quickly.”
“We have always had a special place in our hearts for St. Louis,” discussed Florida Georgia Line when asked about the upcoming show. “They embraced what we were doing a long time ago. We remember playing at Blueberry Hill to 300 people and we celebrated that that many people wanted to show up and see us, let alone knew our songs. To think our next headline in St. Louis will be 9,000 people makes us speechless. This will be a special night.”
Lake St. Louis-based Police Productions is promoting the concert, who also brought the Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert concerts in 2012 and 2011 respectively to Chaifetz Arena.
“This quick sell-out is a perfect example of a great act playing a great building,” said Brad Garrett of Police Productions. “St. Louis country fans were quick to embrace Florida Georgia Line, and Chaifetz Arena is the ideal venue to host this show.”
Florida Georgia Line also had this to share, “We’d like to give a personal thank you to KSD and WIL radio stations in St. Louis. Both stations have been incredibly supportive of our music and we can’t thank them enough.’
When Florida Georgia Line plays at Chaifetz Arena on November 1, it will mark their first headlining tour. The “Here’s to the Good Times Tour” launches October 3 in Brookings, South Dakota and will play across the United States performing a total of 32 dates by the end of the year before wrapping up on December 14 in Kent, Washington.
Florida Georgia Line is part of a busy fall line-up at Chaifetz Arena which includes Nine Inch Nails on October 1, the Lumineers on October 4, and Selena Gomez on November 27. Tickets to all Chaifetz Arena events are available through Ticketmaster.com.
