DARK TRANQUILLITY releases new video for "The Science Of Noise"

Sweden's DARK TRANQUILLITY has released an official video for "The Science Of Noise", taken from their latest album, Construct. The clip can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/hLdCcUDhlpE
Fans in Germany can see it here: http://www.muzu.tv/dark-tranquillity/science-of-noise-official-video-video/2435449/
The band comments: "The festival season has just started, which is a good reason to release our very live based video clip for 'The Science Of Noise'. The bulk of the material was shot during last year's 'World Construct' tour, but for various reasons the video wasn't completed until now.
Also, we're very pleased to welcome Erik Jacobson (from the Gothenburg-based DEALS DEATH) as a stand-in guitarist while Niklas is busy with parental duties. Furthermore, our old brother Anders Iwers (TIAMAT, AVATARIUM, CEREMONIAL OATH) is handling the bass guitar, making this a very special run. Hope to see as many of you as possible at the shows!"

The HillBenders Present… The Who's Tommy: A Bluegrass Opry

Saturday, August 1st
Doors 7pm, Show 8pm
$10 Advance $12 Day of Show
All Ages

“Ever since I was a young boy I played the silver ball” Maybe not your standard bluegrass lyric, but a line known by all the world from the biggest rock opera of all time, The Who’s Tommy. 45 years after its original release, this classic of classic rock has now been fully realized as a full length bluegrass tribute featuring Springfield, Missouri’s The HillBenders. Conceived and produced by SXSW co-founder and longtime musician/producer Louis Jay Meyers, this Bluegrass Opry brings a new perspective to Tommy while paying total respect to its creators. Meyers had been looking for the right band to pull off this high wire bluegrass approach for several decades and The HillBenders are the right band. With a perfect mix of virtuoso musicianship and rock star vocals, The HillBenders bring Pete Townshend’s original vision to life in a new and exciting way.

Horse Feathers
Sunday, September 20th
Doors 7pm, Show 8pm
$13 Advance $15 Day of Show
All Ages

Justin Ringle, the man behind all ten years of Horse Feathers, has the following to say about the making of this album (So It Is With Us), and the current state of his band: “I wanted to stop. I did all the touring for my fourth record – "Cynic's New Year" – and ended the year 2012 disillusioned and defeated. I didn't touch my guitar for months, which was the longest I had gone in about 15 years. I thought that my career in music was over and wondered if I even wanted to do it anymore. After an arduous period of self-doubt and discovery, I finally arrived at the enlightened idea that maybe it should just be a little more fun. I had grown weary of talking to people after shows who said that my last record “helped them through their divorce”. I have always been flattered by that sort of thing, but I realized what I wanted to hear was how my last record helped them “have a great weekend”. If you have heard any of my previous records you will realize that this transformation from “divorce” band to “weekend” band would be a tall order. And it was! I wouldn’t say we’ve become a “party band” overnight, but I certainly tried to change things a bit.
I enlisted friends to play with me that I trusted and had known for years. Along with longtime bandmates Nathan Crockett (strings/mandolin) and Dustin Dybvig (percusion/drums/keys), I threw Justin Power (bass/vocals) into the mix to have an honest to god rhythm section for the first time. With Lauren Vidal on cello and Brad Parsons singing harmonies, we played an impromptu show at Sasquatch and people liked it. We liked it, and the unusual feeling that I had after that show – which I think is referred to as “joy” – became something I wanted to experience again. I shared more. I stopped editing myself as much. The joy of playing live became its own reward, and I dared myself to allow that joy to shape the songwriting. In the end, I was able to let it go, and I don't own it anymore. Which also feels like joy. That's the way it was, and so it is with us.”

Nashville, TN  – Fans, WSIX radio winners and industry alike funneled into the Adventure Science Center last night (6/16) for an electrifying introduction to THE CADILLAC THREE’S latest Big Machine Records single. The Music City born-and-bred trio offered a sneak peek of the “White Lightning” music video from inside the Planetarium. Watch now. Shot in Nashville and directed by David McClister, hit singer/songwriter Jaren Johnston helped conceptualize the setup from conversations about how he instantly fell in love with his wife Evyn and recreated the scenes around penning “White Lightning.”

Complete with a thunderstorm and flashes of lightning, TC3 also performed a short set for the packed crowd that shifted gears from their beat-laden party anthems to the unconventional love song. Johnston (Guitar & Lead Vocals), Kelby Ray (Bass Steel Guitar, Dobro, Acoustic & Vocals) and Neil Mason (Drums, Percussion & Vocals) have weathered wild adventures as a Country group with a rockin’ edge and epitomize their self-described “country fuzz” sound with singles like the ACM Vocal Event of the Year nominated “The South,” featuring Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley and Mike Eli (Eli Young Band) and “Party Like You.” Before ending the evening with a live version of “White Lightning,” the Grammy-nominated frontman explained some of the unique metaphors for falling in love with “fast cars” and “the appeal of Elvis” growing up to “what love’s supposed to feel like.”

“I wouldn’t be here without love and without you, Evyn,” Jaren shared with the auditorium after the video premiered. “Thanks for inspiring some of my songs…the good ones!”

High-energy shows and gritty musical instincts earned TC3 a slot as one of Rolling Stone Country’s “10 New Artists You Need to Know” and more rave reviews continue to pour in:
“The blazing brand of country rock plied by The Cadillac Three burns down genre boundaries.”
The Boston Globe

"Sometimes you hear a song and it stops you in your tracks. That’s kind of what happened the first time I heard 'White Lightning’… ”
CMT

“…a smoldering ballad
[…] an unflinching look at love through the eyes of a Southern boy. […] a compact bit of ear candy.”
Rolling Stone

"...the piece is a power ballad, the other end of the spectrum from the group’s amped-up core."
Billboard

“…purveyors of countrified rock’n’roll with a metallic bite that sits halfway between
Merle Haggard and Metallica…”
Class Rock Magazine

"…it's an unrefined live show you won't want to miss."
PASTE

“… a band with a hard rock sound and catchy, easy-to-get-into lyrics that also has a
grit and authenticity…”
Saving Country Music

“…the majority of today’s so called country rockers are simply trying to emulate what The Cadillac Three has been from their very beginning.”

A THOUSAND HORSES’ CHART-TOPPING HIT “SMOKE” OFFICIALLY
CERTIFIED GOLD

Will Debut New Single, “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial” on ABC’s "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on June 24

NASHVILLE, Tenn.  – Another week, another reason to celebrate for breakout Country rockers A Thousand Horses. And it seems like it’s been a non-stop celebration for months now. Just seven days after their debut album SOUTHERNALITY was released, their first single “Smoke” has officially been RIAA-certified GOLD.

SOUTHERNALITY also debuts at No. 3 this week on the Billboard Country Albums chart. The Dave Cobb-produced album is available now at iTunes and all other major retailers. Michael Hobby, Bill Satcher, Graham DeLoach and Zach Brown also learned this week they will be making their late-night television debut when they play ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live on June 24 where they will perform their next single, “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial.” Watch the new video for the song here.

Fans have been rallying around A Thousand Horses since the release of first single “Smoke,” which set a record for highest debut on the Mediabase Country songs chart and reached No. 1 the first week of June, making A Thousand Horses the first Country band of more than three members to reach No. 1 with its debut single since December 2008. It’s been a scorching run for a band Rolling Stone, USA Today and other tastemakers have hailed as ones to watch in 2015.

Early listeners have embraced A Thousand Horses and SOUTHERNALITY - a mix of the words Southern and personality – for a number of reasons, including its Southern rock vibe and undeniable energy. The band celebrated release week with a number of impactful performances at the CMT Awards (followed by a standing room only after-party at the Tin Roof honky-tonk in downtown Nashville), the CMA Music Festival and the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.

A Thousand Horses is a sight to behold live, as millions of viewers found out when the group made its television debut on TODAY and FOX & Friends recently. Check out A Thousand Horses' live show on Darius Rucker’s Southern Style Tour all summer.

^ Supporting Foo Fighters

Royal Blood is 24 year-old vocalist/bassist Mike Kerr and 27 year-old drummer Ben Thatcher. The duo's sound is a result of a lineage that stretches from present day heroes Queens of the Stone Age to the influential Led Zeppelin, and all the way back to early blues pioneers... yet this huge wall of sound emerges from just two men and two instruments. The band's ferocious approach to the drums and bass have led them to be hailed as one of the most exciting forces in live music. Entertainment Weekly praised the band's "muscle-car riffs and bluesy snarls", while Rolling Stone proclaimed "the band is surely well on its way to becoming a household name." Pitchfork noted the band's "crushing, contorted groove" and "telepathic sense of connectivity". USA Today declared them "the biggest breakouts in rock this year."

Royal Blood will be support for The Foo Fighters at Hollywood Casino Ampthitheatre, tickets are available at www.livenation.com
