CHARM CITY DEVILS
CONFIRMS SHOWS WITH TAPROOT AND THEORY OF A DEADMAN
AS “MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW” CONTINUES
TO MOVE UP THE ACTIVE ROCK CHARTS

May 24, 2012 -- As CHARM CITY DEVILS continue to travel around the U.S. on their “Sinners Ball Tour” in support of their SINS album (out now via Fat Lady Music), additional shows are now being added, supporting Taproot (starting May 30) and Theory Of A Deadman (starting July 20), that will keep them on the road into the Fall.

The first single from SINS, a cover of “Man Of Constant Sorrow” (from the Grammy®-winning soundtrack of the George Clooney Oscar®-nominated film “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”), generates new adds at Active Rock radio every week.  It’s currently being spinned on 37 stations and sits in the Top 25 on the Active Rock charts.  A video for the song can be seen here:  http://bit.ly/IvUtsn.  And the lyric video with over 268,000 views can be seen here:  http://bit.ly/wDUuy2.

A live CHARM CITY DEVILS show is not one to be missed.  Of a recent concert in their hometown (Baltimore), Shockwavemagzine.com praised:  “…the boys delivered it tonight, Rock and Roll style, broken strings and all, gritty and heartfelt connecting with the fans in attendance tonight.  The crowd was captivated or in tune with the guys tonight.  This is and was Rock and Roll, it’s what it’s all about, the music and the passion and the connection with the people.  Charm City Devils, the people’s band tonight.”

And the album’s been garnering rave reviews since its April 10 release, including:

“…(SINS) is ideal for fans of straight-up two-guitar rock with some edge…Charm City Devils has brought a quasi-retro, trend-free sound to their latest effort and may begin to see the benefits of staying true to that particular style.”

“As much as I loved the band’s debut album, LET’S ROCK-N-ROLLSINS simply blows that album out of the water.  ‘Man Of Constant Sorrow’ is the best cover song I have listened to in a long, long time.  Charm City Devils have taken this 100 year old folk song, and turned into something completely their own. I think they did an outstanding job with this cover…John Allen and company have crafted a bunch of catchy tunes, many of which ought to be hits for Charm City Devils…Don’t miss out on one of the best hard rock albums of 2012!”

“From the opening crash of ‘Spite,’ through to the heavy rock sound of ‘Unstoppable’ into the riff-fueled ‘All You’ll Ever Need,’ SINS is a true rock album with all of the polish and sound necessary to climb the charts.”
--Staticmultimedia.com

“SINS takes the band to some memorable heights through the course of eleven tracks…the kind of record you’d hear playing loud and proud in a bar or on the national radio waves…Give Charm City Devils a chance with this one.”
