FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE SECRET SISTERS GARNER AMERICANA MUSIC AWARD NOMINATION FOR NEW/EMERGING ARTIST OF THE YEAR

Nashville, Tenn. (Tuesday, May 24, 2011) – Sisters Laura and Lydia Rogers of The Secret Sisters have benevolently charmed the world with their God-given vocal talent and charismatic poise; and on October 13, 2011, exactly a year and a day after the release of their debut self-titled album on Universal Republic/Beladroit Records, they will sit in the audience at the 2011 Americana Music Awards where they are nominated for New/Emerging Artist Of The Year. The awards show will take place at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn.

When nominations were announced LIVE from New York Tuesday, May 23, The Secret Sisters had just arrived home to Muscle Shoals, AL from their first headlining international tour through Australia, Europe and the U.K. Needless to say, when they heard their name announced alongside nominees Mumford and Sons, The Civil Wars and Jessica Lea Mayfield, they were overwhelmed with excitement and humility.

“We are beyond humbled and excited to have been nominated for New/Emerging Artist Of The Year,” said the duo’s Laura Rogers. To be associated with The Americana Music Association and the other incredible nominees is an enormous honor.”

The 10th Annual Americana Music Honors & Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 13, 2011 in Nashville. For a full list of nominees in all categories, visit www.americanamusic.org
