FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

COLT FORD IS THANKFUL FOR EVERY CHANCE HE GETS

Third Studio Album, Every Chance I Get, In Stores Now; Ford Celebrates 2011 CMT Music Awards Nomination

Nashville, Tenn. (Friday, May 6, 2011) – Forging his own path, Average Joe’s Entertainment’s Colt Ford has always taken the road less traveled.  That road has led him to over 1 million fans downloading his music, over 600,000 concert tickets sold, and collaborations with country music's hottest artists.  With the May 3 release of this third studio album, Every Chance I Get, Ford aligns himself with friends Tim McGraw, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Charlie Daniels and more--a formula that has previously resulted in an ACM nomination for past collaboration with Jamey Johnson and one that has positioned him as a nominee at this year's CMT Music Awards.  However, if you ask Ford what this release means to him, he is simply thankful for every chance that is afforded to h! im by his loyal fans.

“All I’ve ever asked for is that my music be heard and given a chance,” said Ford at an industry listening party in Nashville on Monday.  “The fact that I’m releasing a third record is a testament to the hard work from my band, my label, and the willingness of my fans to help us spread the word. I think this is my best album yet, and I hope the fans agree.”

Ford can also count Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, Darius Rucker, Uncle Kracker, and more as fans, too, as all were along the artists that tweeted to their followers to pick up a copy of Every Chance I Get this week in celebration of the release.

"I have so much respect for the country music format and the artists that have and continue to make this genre great," adds Ford.  "To have so many people believe in me is truly humbling, but even more so I consider it as a testament to this music community and the passion that begins with our fans."

Ford’s efforts have also been met with praise from the press:
“Colt Ford breaks the pre-conceptions Nashville once considered necessary for country music success. He records for his own independent label, he lacks leading-man looks and his songs incorporate rap and heavy metal…Part crowd cheerleader and part barroom preacher, Ford joins many other contemporary country rockers on a single-minded celebration of his southern roots, his family, his faith and his love of a good time. But he separates himself from the crowd through his emphasis on a rural-rap style.” --Michael McCall for The Associated Press

“He’s a little rap, a little rock and roll, and a whole lotta country!” --WUSN (Chicago’s US-99)

“Overall, I have to say this CD is more than any Colt Ford fans could hope for. He, along with all of the featured artists, have really done an outstanding job with these songs. I would highly recommend the album to any of Colt’s fans, and to anyone who isn’t quite sure if they are a Colt Ford fan or not. It actually might help you make up your mind.”  --Country Music is Love

“This is a solid album that knows its audience, is wonderfully recorded and played, embraces a fusion of styles from country to rock to rap, tells compelling stories, and does all of this without coming off like a novelty record. That's getting it right.” -- Steve Leggett for All Music

Lisa McKay, PD/station manager, WQDR Raleigh: "Songs and artists that inspire passion are always welcome on QDR. Plus, I am impressed with the fact Colt sold a million downloads and over half a million tickets to his shows last year. That is pretty impressive, especially for a dude who does not get much on air love. He is the real deal, too, when you talk to him—very smart and well connected.”

Ford's opening three days of album sales currently finds Every Chance I Get as the #5 album, all genres, at Wal-Mart and saw peak positions in the iTunes store charts at #11 all genre and #2 Country.  In addition, Colt has experienced unprecedented online activity across his social networks and website.

Every Chance I Get, which was co-produced by Shannon Houchins and Jayson Chance, is home to lead single “Country Thang” and follows Ford’s sophomore album, Chicken And Biscuits, that debuted on #8 in April 2010.  Across all titles, Ford's albums have gone on to sale over 500,000 copies.

Ford is currently on tour nationwide in support of the release.  A full list of upcoming appearances can be found by visiting www.coltford.com.
