THE BAND PERRY NOMINATED FOR 2015 ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS VOCAL GROUP OF THE YEAR

STEVIE WONDER: SONGS IN THE KEY OF LIFE - AN ALL-STAR GRAMMY SALUTE

 


NASHVILLE, TN - - Reigning ACM Vocal Group of the Year, THE BAND PERRY, received a nomination for the 2015 Academy of Country Music Awards.   The award-winning trio was once again nominated in the Vocal Group of the Year category.  The nominations were announced early this morning across the ACM's Facebook, Instagram and Twitter feeds.  The 50TH Academy of Country Music Awards, Country Music's Party of the Year®, will be broadcast LIVE from AT&T Stadium in North Texas on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 8:00 PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.  

"We had just landed back in Tennessee early this morning when we found out about our nomination," said the members of The Band Perry.  "The recognition by the Academy of Country Music never fails to surprise us and we are grateful to the ACM, our musical peers and most of all to our fans in country music."

The Band Perry will also make an appearance at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards® in Los Angeles.  The trio is nominated in the category of Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their single "Gentle On My Mind," a spirited rendition of the Glen Campbell classic which isprominently featured on the soundtrack to the James Keach directed documentary Glen Campbell:  I'll Be Me.   The 57th Annual Grammy Awards®will be televised from the Staples Center at 8PM ET/PT on CBS.

In other news from The Band Perry, Kimberly, Reid and Neil were just added to the line-up for and will perform on Stevie Wonder:  Songs In The Key Of Life - An All-Star Grammy Salute.  They will share the stage with some of music's finest including Janelle Monae, Lady Gaga, Usher, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, John Legend and more.   The show will tape on February 10th at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and air Monday February 16th from 9-11PM ET/PT on CBS.
