Nashville, TN  – As the temperatures heat up across the country, Thomas Rhett continues to sizzle across Country radio, notching his second consecutive #1 hit with “Get Me Some Of That.” This week the “soul-saver, now-and-later,” GOLD-certified tune tops both the Billboard and Mediabase Country Charts.

As a recording artist, Thomas Rhett previously scored his first-ever #1 with the multi-week, platinum-certified “It Goes Like This,” while his songwriting resume also boasts the two-week #1 “Round Here” for Florida Georgia Line.

The Georgia native shares in the celebration with his father Rhett Akins, who co-wrote both of the chart-toppers featured on Thomas Rhett’s debut album IT GOES LIKE THIS (The Valory Music Co.). TR received a special congratulatory message from his daddy, the other “Get Me Some Of That” writers – Cole Swindell, Michael Carter – and Luke Bryan. Check it out here. The song’s official, and fittingly coy video, has garnered over 6.9 million views and showcases his real-life love, wife Lauren.

Thomas Rhett also picked up a pair of 2014 CMT Music Awards’ nominations for “It Goes Like This” in the Video and Breakthrough Video of the Year categories. Fans can vote at CMT.com and on their mobile device at CMT Mobile now through June 1 to help Thomas Rhett take home the esteemed “buckles.” For the night’s biggest honor, Video of the Year, the six finalists will be announced at the beginning of the 8:00P ET live show on June 4 and fans can then vote at CMT.com, CMT mobile and via text message throughout the telecast (ET/CT only).
