Out Today! JOHNNY WORE BLACK
'Walking Underwater Part I'

The debut release from UK's JOHNNY WORE BLACK out today on Dead Cherry

LOS ANGELES, CA -  - Today marks the official debut of Walking Underwater Part I from London's JOHNNY WORE BLACK!

Blurring the lines between music and a soundtrack; Walking Underwater Part 1 includes the first two previously released singles "All The Rage" and "Up In Flames," as well as sound bites from JWB frontman Jay Cohen's late father's seminal 1967 documentary THE LONDON NOBODY KNOWS. Described as a "rocking, Southern-edged, Tool-toned affair" by Metal Hammer; Walking Underwater Part I features the writing and performance of David Ellefson (MEGADETH) and is now available on iTunes.

"Soulful, left of center rock." - Artist Direct

"A haunting dose of melody and emotion." - A Metal State of Mind

"Dark and brooding, its poignant message about the physical and emotional sacrifice of our armed forces really hits home." -Music Week Magazine

For Johnny Wore Black all the signs point towards success with "Walking Underwater" (hopefully) just the first of many fine moves by this open and honest dark rock band. - Heavy Metal Time Machine

"Walking Underwater is an example of mood captured in an audio capsule that refuses to float to the surface.  If you wish to purchase an album that doesn't conform, yet provides a top quality set of textures and shades, then prepare yourself to be quietly impressed."
- Screamer Magazine

"A prowling and inciting presence which ignites the passions and sets itself up as one of the most addictive and potently lingering tracks to emerge this year so far. A kind of a cross between Stone Sour and Soundgarden" - Ringmaster Review
