(New York, NY): Blanco White, the project from London based artist Josh Edwards, today announces the release of his long-awaited debut album ‘On The Other Side,’ out April 3rd2020 via Yucatan Records. To celebrate the announce, and following on from the single "On The Other Side" released earlier this Summer, Josh today premieres the dreamily beautiful video for new album track "Papillon" – directed by Javier Lara.

Speaking about the track, Josh explains “‘Papillon" is a song inspired by Henri Charrière’s book of the same name. It was a very important book to a friend of mine, and it left a similar impact on me. Most of the story takes place surrounded by water, so I wanted the song to have a shimmering and rippling feel to it.”
Having studied guitar in Cádiz (Spain), and later the Andean instrument the charango in Sucre (Bolivia), Josh’s aim was to begin bringing together elements of Andalusian and Latin American music alongside influences closer to home. Blanco White has released three EPs so far, 'The Wind Rose’ (2016), a self-produced debut EP, 'Colder Heavens’ (2016) which was produced by Ian Grimble (Bear's Den, Matt Corby, Daughter) and 2018’s ‘Nocturne’ EP. In that time Josh has achieved significant success, enabling him to tour the globe for months on end and gaining huge streaming numbers. The new album has been recorded mostly in London and is self-produced by Josh, engineered by Dani Spragg and mixed by Air Studios’ Jake Jackson.

Today at Washington D.C.’s Union Stage marks the start of Blanco White’s 20+ date tour which will see him play in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and more.
