Nashville, TN (July 16, 2014) – It’s full-steam ahead for superstar duo Florida Georgia Line whose momentum continues with a top spot debut of “Dirt” at #1 on the Country Digital Singles chart and #2 on Top Digital Songs for sales of 182,929 tracks in the first week. Additionally, “Dirt” scored the #1 spot on both the all genre Digital Songs and Country charts in Canada. The lead track from their forthcoming sophomore album on Republic Nashville shot to #1 on both the iTunes all genre and Country charts in the US and Canada, while also sitting atop the Country chart in Australia shortly after release.

Making a record-breaking splash at Country radio, “Dirt” earned the highest one-week add total in Country Aircheck history with 130 stations on in the US. In Canada, "Dirt" was the #1 Most Added song at Country on Mediabase and tied for #1 Most Added for all genres.

Inspired by the emotionally-fueled song, FGL recently launched the Dirt Campaign, partnering with the fundraising platform Omaze to benefit Habitat for Humanity, a global nonprofit which creates affordable housing in partnership with low-income families. The official “Dirt” music video and Entertainment Tonights exclusive behind-the-scenes footage bring even more life with tender lyrics like “you know you came from it and some day you’ll return to it.”

Music critics across the country have embraced FGL’s fresh sound with rave reviews:

"’Dirt’ is arguably the country duo's most sentimental — and definitely the most traditional — song to date. It connects dirt with everything from birth to death to falling in love...” ROLLING STONE

“Country music's party boys start thinking about settling down […] a plot of land tugs hard on Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley’s souls in this pensive ballad…” USA TODAY (“Song of the Week”)

The heartfelt song is a sound unlike anything we’ve heard from the duo before, and the clip it has quite the cameo [JD Souther].” TASTE OF COUNTRY

"Florida Georgia Line sets a career-high bow on Country Airplay, as "Dirt" debuts with Hot Shot Debut stripes at No. 16 – the chart's highest launch this year." BILLBOARD
The nostalgic yet inspiring material covers new ground for FGL, who skyrocketed across genres with four consecutive, multi-week #1 smashes – the PLATINUM-certified hits “Stay,” “Get Your Shine On,” "Round Here" and 7X PLATINUM “Cruise,” which broke the record for longest #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart and is the best-selling digital Country single of all time (SoundScan). Producer Joey Moi is once again at the helm of the new music, following up FGL’s 2X PLATINUM debut HERE’S TO THE GOOD TIMES, which has tallied over 15 million tracks sold worldwide.

The ACM Vocal Duo of the Year is slated to perform a mashup of hits at Nickelodeon’s inaugural Kids’ Choice Sports Awards this Thursday, July 17. A continual favorite among the younger crowds, FGL is nominated for Choice Country Group at the August 10 TEEN CHOICE Awards on FOX and fans ages 13-19 can vote once a day via teenchoiceawards.com. The plethora of previous industry honors includes ACA, AMA, ACM, Billboard, CMA and CMT Music Awards.

Currently on the road as direct support for Jason Aldean’s BURN IT DOWN Tour, FGL will host “This is How We Cruise” aboard the Norwegian Pearl in November.
