MOTLEY CRUE announced The Final Tour and the band's ultimate retirement, solidified when the band signed a formal Cessation Of Touring Agreement, effective at the end of 2015, in front of global media in Los Angeles on Jan. 28. Celebrating the announcement of The Final Tour, the band performed on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" later that night and appeared on "CBS This Morning" on Jan. 29.
With over 80 million albums sold, MOTLEY CRUE has sold out countless tours across the globe and spawned more than 2,500 MOTLEY CRUE branded items, sold in over 30 countries. MOTLEY CRUE has proven they know how to make a lasting impression and this tour will be no different. Fans can expect to hear the catalogue of their chart-topping hits and look forward to mind-blowing, unparalleled live production. "When it comes to putting together a new show, we always push the envelope and that's part of Motley Crue's legacy," explains Nikki Sixx (bass). "As far as letting on to what we're doing, that would be like finding out what you're getting for Christmas before you open the presents. We think in an age of too much information, we'd like to keep some surprises close to our chest until we launch The Final Tour."
The Final Tour, presented by Dodge and produced by Live Nation, will kick off in North America on July 2 in Grand Rapids, Mich. and reach 73 markets before hitting international territories in 2015. To Live Nation, MOTLEY CRUE tours are not only box office successes but artistically have set the bar for production and entertainment value. "There's no arguing that Motley Crue have been and always will be the definitive bad boys of rock 'n' roll," says Rick Franks, Live Nation's regional president of North America concerts. "But behind all those notorious stories is a legendary rock band that has revolutionized heavy metal and created some of the biggest hits in music history. They are a hugely successful global brand and a touring powerhouse. Everyone at Live Nation has a tremendous amount of respect for these hard-working and extremely talented gentlemen. The music industry will never have another Motley Crue."
The Dodge Brothers were a notorious duo, so it seemed only natural to partner with the World's Most Notorious Rock Band. "Whenever I talk to people about Motley Crue, the common thread is how cool and relevant the band remains, even after 33 years," said Tim Kuniskis, president and CEO, Dodge Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. "This irreverent 'staying power' resonates deeply with the Dodge brand as we turn the corner on our 100-year anniversary. What better way to celebrate the band's final tour and the 25th anniversary of Kickstart My Heart than to do it together?"
Fans can look forward to very special guest ALICE COOPER joining MOTLEY CRUE for an incredible package; Alice invented the rock 'n' roll genre and MOTLEY CRUE put steroids in it! "Real hard rock bands are hard to find these days," said Alice. "Motley has always gone on stage with one attitude and that's to blow the audience away. That's exactly how we do it. Putting Motley Crue and Alice Cooper together is going to be just what this summer really NEEDS. We're going to go out there and tear it up, and I can't wait to see Motley on stage. Motley Crue and Alice Cooper—a match made in...Armageddon?"
As documented in the Cessation Of Touring Agreement the band signed at the Jan. 28 press conference, the band will not tour after this final tour. Band attorney Doug Mark of Mark Music & Media Law explains: "Other bands have split up over rancor or the inability of people to get along, but this is mutual among all four original members and a peaceful decision to move on to other endeavors and to confirm it with a binding agreement." Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and Mick Mars will go their separate ways after the lengthy two-year touring cycle. Tommy Lee (drums) explains: "Everything must come to an end!! We always had a vision of going out with a big f***king bang and not playing county fairs and clubs with one or two original band members! Our job here is done!!!" Of the band's tumultuous history, Mick Mars (guitar) adds: "(It has been) more drama than 'General Hospital;' it keeps 'em watchin' and they keep comin' back." Vocalist, Vince Neil says of the Finality of the tour: "I'll miss playing with the guys, but I won't quit playing rock 'n' roll!! I feel there are a lot of great opportunities and exciting projects after Motley."

THE CADILLAC THREE PROVES WHY IT’S ALL ABOUT “THE SOUTH”

Debut Single Features Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley & Eli Young Band’s Mike Eli

Dynamic Trio To Tour With Eric Church & Jake Owen

Nashville, TN (February 11, 2014) – Nashville natives Jaren Johnston (Guitar & Lead Vocals), Kelby Ray (Bass Steel Guitar, Dobro, Acoustic & Vocals) and Neil Mason (Drums, Percussion & Vocals) – The Cadillac Three – are quickly making some noise with the help of a few famous friends. The Music City born-and-bred boys boldly sing, “this is where I was born and this is where I’ll die,” in their gritty debut single “The South,” featuring Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley and Mike Eli (Eli Young Band). Watch the music video here.

“I remembered the first time I heard 'Sweet Home Alabama,' and I was just mesmerized with it. I thought we needed something that would resonate with people the way 'Sweet Home Alabama' did for me as a kid,” said lead singer Jaren who penned “The South,” which sold over 10,000 downloads in the first week.

The high-energy trio is already building buzz with their unique musical tones, raw lyrics and eccentric styling. The Cadillac Three scored a spot on CMT’s ten new artists to discover list saying, “[the] shaggy-haired three-piece band have already made tons of friends in country music, as you can see in their video for their loud-and-proud single, ’The South.’" A recent Billboard.com profile gives more of an introduction to the talented trio and states, “there's an exciting new sound on the airwaves of country radio – The Cadillac Three.”

“We call our sound ‘country fuzz.’ It’s the best of both of those worlds – a little lap steel, some raunchy, Southern vocals and story songwriting with big drums. Really, a combination of what we all grew up listening to – Bocephus and Skynyrd – infused with some of what’s going on today – a little Eric [Church] and Dierks [Bentley]. Being born and raised here, we’re just excited to do something a little different for Nashville,” continued Jaren. He has also penned hits for Tim McGraw (“Southern Girl”), Keith Urban (“You Gonna Fly”) as well as several others for Kenny Chesney, Jake Owen and Dierks Bentley.

While spending time the last several months visiting radio stations across the country, The Cadillac Three is set to tour Europe with Eric Church this Spring and return stateside to join Jake Owen on his DAYS OF GOLD TOUR, beginning March 20. On April 4, they will perform in Las Vegas during the ACM PARTY FOR A CAUSE Festival alongside labelmates Rascal Flatts and Thomas Rhett, benefitting Outnumber Hunger to help secure meals at local food banks for the 1 in 6 Americans across the nation who struggle.

In addition to their live performances, The Cadillac Three marked their second appearance on ABC’s hit drama “NASHVILLE,” showcasing “The South” for Rayna James (Connie Britton).

Eric Church Looks Inside The Outsiders

By David Scarlett
© 2014 CMA Close Up® News Service / Country Music Association®, Inc.
Eric Church has spent nearly two hours in an old church-turned-recording studio in East Nashville, playing his new album, The Outsiders, for a group of Nashville media reps gathered to hear his latest offering. And when the listening session ends, the sense of satisfaction and, yes, pride that Church exudes as he answers questions about the project is undeniable. And justified.
The album, Church’s fifth (four studio and one live), is ambitious in its musical and lyrical scope and fearless in continuing the mission of Church and his producer Jay Joyce to push the boundaries of Country Music. Whether by adding a 90-second instrumental section to the end of the title cut and first single (written by Church and Casey Beathard), cleverly reflecting the lyrics in the melody of “Roller Coaster Ride” (Church, Jeff Hyde and Ryan Tyndell), pulling no punches in describing a passionate reunion with his wife after a long road trip in “Like A Wrecking Ball” (Church and Beathard) or including a powerful three-and-a-half-minute spoken word section during what he describes as “the trilogy” near the end of the record, the album is unpredictable.
“For this record, we did ‘A Man Who Was Gonna Die Young’ (Church and Jeremy Spillman) first,” said Church, speaking later during a quiet moment on his bus. “Then we did ‘The Outsiders.’ And I’m looking at these two very different things, thinking, ‘What is this? Where are we going?’ I hate to use the word ‘artistic,’ but it was just so damn artistic, I couldn’t wait to see where it was going from there.”
“(The project) is a whole entity,” producer Joyce explained. “But we’ll sit back and think, ‘What is this little family (of songs) missing?’ And we’re smart enough to stand back and let the record reveal itself. Sure, you’ve got to show up and do the work. But Eric came into the studio with three new tunes this time, so you’ve got to allow for a great song at the last minute. On the last record, I think it was ‘Springsteen’ (Church, Jeff Hyde and Ryan Tyndell) that came in at the last minute. This time it was ‘Wrecking Ball.’”
Joyce knows to expect these last-minute arrivals because he understands Church’s work ethic. The man and his co-writers wrote an astonishing 121 songs in preparation for The Outsiders. Other than family time spent with his wife Katherine and their 2-year-old son Boone, or cutting and splitting wood on the 800 acres they own west of Nashville, writing and otherwise making music is Church’s life — so much so that while he’s involved in suggesting and approving marketing strategies to promote the music, he abstains from another key marketing activity: social media.
“I’ve always kept it about the music,” he said. “I’ve always kept it about ‘this is what I’m good at.’ But it’s allowed our fans to empower themselves. Instead of me tweeting or me getting on Facebook, they do it. Then the next person does it and it spiderwebs. Some people have dogged me for not being on Twitter or Facebook, but we have the same impact. The people are doing that for us. They have a sense of ownership.”
Church’s manager, John Peets, couldn’t agree more. “We have always come from the perspective that music is for people,” he said. “Eric has always written and played for the people in the room. Once you release a record, the music is theirs. We respect them and count on them to spread the word.”
Church even made consideration of his Church Choir fan base a factor in releasing the title cut as the album’s debut single. “Could we have come first with another song off this record that might have been a big hit? Sure. But we didn’t, because I wanted to make a statement that that’s not what this is about. It’s about making sure that we’re pushing boundaries and honoring where we come from. I wanted to make sure that the people who built this foundation hear this record and go, ‘This is the one we’ve been waiting on. This is when they were fully in the screws,’” Church noted, using the golf term that means hitting in the sweet spot of the club.
“I believe with any artist, there’s that moment when you’re writing your best, singing your best and playing your best,” he continued. “The producer’s producing his best and playing his best. There’s that ‘in the screws’ moment. I think we started to hit it with Chief. And I think we hit it on this one.”
“When I make albums, I want to lay my head on the pillow 20 years from now and not regret one thing,” he noted. “I want to have stayed true to my musical and moral compass, because that’s what I trust, regardless of what’s popular or whether you get rich or famous. It’s about looking back and being proud of the work you’ve left behind.
“I may be the most rock ‘n’ roll-influenced artist in the format,” Church concluded. “I’ll admit I love to listen to Pantera. But I revere Country Music. I don’t just do it. I revere it. And I want to make albums to put up on the Country Music shelf with all the Country records I revere and go, ‘This is what we did.’”

LUCY HALE’S DEBUT ALBUM, ROAD BETWEEN, SET TO RELEASE JUNE 3

Singer To Make Grand Ole Opry Debut On February 21

(Nashville, TN) – February 18, 2014 – The new year is off to a stellar start for singer and actress Lucy Hale!  After being named one of 2014’s Ones To Watch by the likes of Billboard, Country Music Is Love, Country Weekly, Rolling Stone, Roughstock, Taste of Country, Shazam and USA Today, and seeing her first single, “You Sound Good To Me” climb the country radio charts, Lucy recently revealed plans to release her highly anticipated country debut album in late spring. Her more than 9 million online fans and followers were the first to hear the big news that her debut record, Road Between, will release June 3rd on DMG Nashville/Bigger Picture Group.

“This has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl singing Faith Hill and Shania Twain songs into my hairbrush in the mirror,” reveals Lucy. “It was both exciting and scary for me to be so vulnerable making this album, and it’s turned out to be something genuinely me and something I’m really proud to share.”

Adding to the excitement, Lucy has been invited to make her debut on the Grand Ole Opry this Friday, February 21st from Nashville. For more information on how to catch her first steps onto the legendary Opry stage, please visit HERE.

Fans and critics alike are eager for Lucy’s music debut. USA Today called her hit single “effervescent” while CMT.com proclaimed, “the actor-turned-singer sounds very legit, very country, and much like a sure thing for country radio.” Written by Nashville tunesmiths Ashley Gorley, Luke Laird and Hillary Lindsey, Hale’s first single, “You Sound Good To Me,” premiered exclusively on SIRIUS XM’s The Highway in early January.

The Memphis born-and-raised 24-year old has been out on the road meeting country radio, fans, and tirelessly honing her performance skills during hiatus from her hit show, “Pretty Little Liars.” Lucy is eager to share her longtime love for music with her country debut album, Road Between, due June 3rd on DMG Nashville/Bigger Picture Group.

Pearl and The Beard is three voices, one cello, one guitar, one glockenspiel, one melodica, several drums, ninety-six teeth, and one soul. Former strangers Jocelyn Mackenzie, Emily Hope Price and Jeremy Styles were united in the great city of New York. Each had migrated there from a far corner of the nation with naught but food in their pockets and money in their bellies. Each had the same true love. Since then, the three have nested, and their unique brand of brightly melodic song craft continues to blossom of its own accord.

The Band Perry performs "DONE" at Superbowl 2014

NASHVILLE, TN - On the heels of their dynamic performance on the NFL and Fox's Super Bowl LXVIII Tailgate pregame show, it was announced today that sibling trio THE BAND PERRY will be advising Blake Shelton's team during the "Battle Rounds" on Season Six of NBC's The Voice. Tune into the season premiere of The Voice, Monday, February 24, 2014 at 8PM EST / 7PM CST on NBC.

"Blake didn't have to ask us twice if we wanted to mentor his team this season on The Voice, " said The Band Perry.  "It was so much fun to work with Team Blake, and after 15 years of receiving plenty of 'constructive criticism,' it was our turn to pay it forward.  We just hope we were as helpful to Blake's team as our own mentors have been to us through the years."

It was also announced the award-winning family trio will be featured on the 40th Anniversary re-mastered edition of Elton John's 1973 seminal breakthrough album, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, with their version of the song "Grey Seal."  The reissued CD will be released March 24, 2014 by Universal Music Catalogue / Mercury on CD, vinyl, limited-edition yellow vinyl, and in a box set featuring recording of 'Live At Hammersmith 1973' on CD, a DVD of Bryan Forbes' 1973 film 'Elton John and Bernie Taupin Say Goodbye To Norma Jean and Other Things', along with a 100-page illustrated hardback book packed with rare photos, memorabilia and new essay containing interviews with Elton John and Bernie Taupin.

"Elton John is a musical hero of ours, and to be included in a project with him is something that is beyond our wildest dreams," said the band.

Last week, The Band Perry received two award nominations from the Academy of Country Music for "Vocal Group of The Year" and "Music Video of The Year" for their #1 smash "Better Dig Two." In 2012 and 2013 the band received nominations in the "Vocal Group of the Year" category. In 2011, the award-winning trio was nominated for five Academy of Country Music Awards and won, "New Artist of the Year" and "Best New Vocal Duo or Group."

The Band Perry is currently on the road on their WE ARE PIONEERS WORLD TOUR. A full list of dates can be found at www.thebandperry.com.

The Supremely Funky Duo of Charlie Hunter and Scott Amendola Deliver
Their Second Release, Pucker, An Album Focusing on the Drummer’s
Compositions. The jazz scene’s funkiest duo isn’t waiting around for a rising tide. Following up on last year’s critically hailed Not Getting Behind Is The New Getting Ahead, guitarist Charlie Hunter and drummer Scott Amendola return with Pucker, a lean and sinewy session marked by fierce grooves, caressing melodies, and startlingly intuitive interplay. The album opens a whole new frontier for the duo with a program of Amendola’s evocative compositions. He established himself as a highly effective composer writing for his five-piece Scott Amendola Band and his trio with guitarist Jeff Parker and bassist John Shifflett, but until now the duo has focused on the seven-string guitar wizard’s muscular tunes. Looking to take a break from writing to focus on his guitar craft, Hunter realized that the duo could thrive while investigating a whole new body of music.
