LYNYRD SKYNYRD AND BAD COMPANY  ANNOUNCE THE 40 TOUR - A 40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
SUMMER CO-HEADLINE TOUR OF 12 DATES

Both Bands Will Supplement This Joint Excursion With Individual Headline Dates

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bad Company have announced The 40 Toura co-headline tour that takes the bands coast-to-coast for 12 dates.  Both bands celebrate significant 40th anniversaries in 2013, with Lynyrd Skynyrd having released their debut album on August 13, 1973 and Bad Company being formed that same year.  While the pair have shared the stage and Paul Rodgers has toured with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company and Skynyrd have never toured as co-headliners together.

Led by core members Gary Rossington (guitar), Johnny Van Zant (vocals) and Rickey Medlocke (guitar), along with longtime drummer Michael Cartellone, Lynyrd Skynyrd has maintained a tremendous legacy that began over 40 years ago in Jacksonville, Florida, and continues with the recently released Last Of A Dying Breed (Roadrunner).  The band's career was halted for a decade after the 1977 plane crash that killed three band members, including Ronnie Van Zant and Steve Gaines, and then subsequently faced adversity through the losses of Billy Powell, Ean Evans, Allen Collins, Leon Wilkeson and Huey Thomasson, yet they rock on.  With a catalog of over 60 albums, sales beyond 30 million worldwide and their beloved classic American rock anthem “Sweet Home Alabama” having over two million downloaded ringtones, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band Lynyrd Skynyrd remains a cultural icon that appeals to all generations.  The current line-up features Gary Rossington (Guitar), Johnny Van Zant (Vocals), Rickey Medlocke (Guitar), Mark "Sparky" Matejka (Guitar), Michael Cartellone (Drums), Johnny Colt (Bass), Peter Keys (Keyboards), and Dale Krantz Rossington and Carol Chase as The Honkettes (Backing Vocals).

Bad Company were dubbed a super-group upon the  band's formation due to the union of Free's Paul Rodgers (Vocals / Multi-Instrumentalist) with Mott The Hoople's Mick Ralphs (Guitar) plus King Crimson's Boz Burrell (Bass) and Free's Simon Kirke (Drums).  Over the next nine years, the band released a string of six albums, yielding international hits "Can't Get Enough," "Bad Company," "Feel Like Makin' Love," and many others penned by the main songwriters Paul Rodgers and Mick Ralphs. Original members Rodgers, Ralphs, and Kirke will be joined by guitarist Howard Leese and bassist Todd Ronning (from Paul Rodgers solo band).  Original bassist Boz Burrell passed away in 2006.

Bad Company has inspired many of today's musicians.  Most notably, Metal band Five Finger Death Punch who scored a #1 Active Rock hit with a cover of the song "Bad Company". Since 2001, the band has only played 11 isolated performances, and has not staged a tour of The United States until now.  In front of the run, Rodgers shares, "When Mick and I formed the band in the 70's we were amazed at the instant success.  It didn't hurt to have Led Zeppelin behind us, and we wrote some decent songs that still resonate.  This one is for fans."

Lynyrd Skynyrd's Johnny Van Zant offers, "Every member of Skynyrd has been fans of Bad Company from the get go.  Personally, Paul is one of my favorite rock singers.  We have a deep appreciation for Bad Company’s music and look forward to being on the road with them and sharing the stage.”  Paul Rodgers reveals, "The Skynyrds and I go back to the 70's and the days and nights at the Hyatt House on Sunset in LA aka the Riot House.  In the 90's the band introduced me to my wife Cynthia, and that's why I am so damned happy and healthy these years."

Special guests and Kentucky-bred hard rockers, Black Stone Cherry, will be kicking things off on The 40 Tour.  Their music has been described as Southern-fried hard rock about everything from being proud of where you come from and true to who you are.

David Bowie's 'The Next Day' Streaming In Its Entirety Exclusively on iTunes Starting Now

'The Next Day,' Bowie's First New Album In 10 Years, To Be Released on Iso/Columbia Records on March 12 in North America

NEW YORK, -- David Bowie's much anticipated new album The Next Day is now available to stream as a worldwide exclusive on the iTunes Store (iTunes.com/DavidBowie). The album stream will remain available until release day on March 12.
David Bowie surprised the world on January 8th (his birthday) by releasing a haunting video, directed by Tony Oursler, for a new song entitled "Where Are We Now," after being dormant for 10 years.  'Where Are We Now' was written by Bowie and co-produced with long term collaborator Tony Visconti, and though it was recorded in New York, the song references Bowie's time in Berlin.
The Next Day was available immediately for pre-order, and news spread amongst fans and across every major news outlet like wildfire.  Pre-orders for the album put it at #1 on iTunes charts in 34 countries, with a Top 5 debut in the United States.
The album's 2nd single, "The Stars (Are Out Tonight)," was released this week, along with an accompanying video.  The video was directed by Floria Sigismondi, who also worked with Bowie on 1996's "Little Wonder" and 1997's "Dead Man Walking," and was shot by Jeff Cronenweth.  Bowie stars in the video alongside Oscar-winning actress Tilda Swinton, and the pair play a happily married couple whose world is disturbed and then re-arranged by the intrusion of a celebrity couple played by Andrej Pejic and Saskia De Brauw.
"The Stars (Are Out Tonight)" will be available alongside "Where Are We Now" on a special white vinyl 7" single for Record Store Day on April 20.

The Telegraph *****
"An absolute wonder: urgent, sharp-edged, bold, beautiful and baffling."
The Times ****
"A great album and something that is rare in an age when everything is explained and revealed: a sense of mystery."
Rolling Stone ****

NME 8/10
"Bright and poppy, these songs feel like stories that insisted on being told."
Billboard 91/100
"[Bowie and producer Tony Visconti] have struck gold in creating a work that is modern and well-connected to the artist's fabled sonic-past."
The Quietus

DARIUS RUCKER REVEALS HEADLINING TRUE BELIEVERS TOUR

Award-Winning Country Star Announces Dates of the True Believers Tour Featuring Special Guests Justin Moore, Rodney Atkins and Jana Kramer

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Capitol Records Nashville recording artist Darius Rucker is calling all ‘true believers’ to meet him out on the road this summer for his newly announced headlining tour in support of his upcoming True Believers album release this spring.

The True Believers Tour kicks off on May 9 in Estero, Fla. and will work its way through more than 20 cities across the U.S. before wrapping up in Clarkston, Mich. on June 30.

Rucker will treat concert-goers to tunes from across all three of his country albums, including current critically-acclaimed single “Wagon Wheel” and any number of his five No. 1 hits like “Come Back Song,” “This,” “Alright” and more.

“This is going to be an exciting summer,” predicts Rucker.  “I’ve got an album I can’t wait for y’all to hear and I’m hitting the road with a great group of artists.  We’re gonna have a good time!”

Joining Rucker on select dates will be special guests RIAA platinum-selling Rodney Atkins, top-charting country singer Justin Moore, and 2013 ACM New Female Vocalist winner and New Artist of the Year nominee Jana Kramer.

Rucker will be offering two pairs of tickets to each tour date through an auction on www.DariusRucker.com with proceeds benefiting both the Country Music Association’s “Keep The Music Playing” initiative and the Academy of Country Music’s “Lifting Lives” program.  “Keep the Music Playing” supports music in our schools and has funded music labs and more than 4,000 instruments in 80 Nashville Metro schools.  ACM “Lifting Lives” is dedicated to improving lives through the power of music - its beneficiaries include the Holston Home in East Tenn. where Atkins was adopted as a child, Pattinson’s Academy in Rucker’s hometown of Charleston, S.C., and ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp, students of which accompanied Rucker in a very special ACM Awards performance of a song written and recorded by the campers, “Music from the Heart.”

About Justin Moore
Justin Moore’s star has grown significantly since he was named Billboard's Top New Country Artist of 2009. This southern country stylist has sold over 3 million digital downloads to date and his sophomore album OUTLAWS LIKE ME hit the No. 1 spot the week it was released. OUTLAWS LIKE ME includes the fastest-rising single of Moore’s career, “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away” and "'Til My Last Day," both ascended to the No. 1 spot. His debut album scored three consecutive smash singles (the No. 1 “Small Town USA” as well as the hits “Backwoods” and “How I Got To Be This Way”). He has been profiled by publications from The Washington Post, People Country and Billboard to USA Today. Additionally, his debut was recognized by the New York Times as one of the best albums of 2009. About Rodney Atkins
Award-winning singer/songwriter Rodney Atkins has an impressive track record with hitting on sentiments that strike a chord with the country listener. Atkins has landed six No. 1 hits, including the most recent platinum-selling chart-topper, "Take A Back Road," and has over five million single sales in the past five years alone. The latest album, TAKE A BACK ROAD, has helped propel Rodney to even higher heights with the out-of-the-box smash, "Take A Back Road," along with father/son themed “He’s Mine,” and the laid back cruiser, "Just Wanna Rock N’ Roll." In 2006, Rodney was named ACM's Top New Male Vocalist while also garnering back-to-back recognition with Billboard's Most Played Song of the Year Award for "If You're Going Through Hell" (2006) and "Watching You" (2007). Since the start of his success, Rodney has appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Early Show on CBS, Good Morning America, Fox & Friends, CNN Headline News and many more. Kramer has impressively sold over a million tracks, including more than 100,000 of the new single “Whiskey” and over a half million of “Why Ya Wanna.” In addition to her debut album premiering at No. 5, the success of “Why Ya Wanna” also earned Kramer the title of highest charting debut single from a new female artist since 2006 (previously held by Taylor Swift), as well as making her one of the fastest rising debut artists of 2012.  Visit www.JanaKramer.com for more information.
