The Nth Power / Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles
Thursday, April 2nd
Doors 7pm  Show 8pm
$14 Advance  $16 Day of Show
Proving that soul music can be exponentially greater than the sum of its parts, The Nth Power will inspire you to dance, groove, make love or just stand there with goose bumps. Few artists pack as much punch in a five-piece, all-analog ensemble as The Nth Power. The formula starts with drummer Nikki Glaspie (Dumpstaphunk, BeyoncĂ©)’s deep pocket, explosive energy and silky vocals, compounded by bassist Nate Edgar (John Brown’s Body), whose quiet confidence lies in perfect contrast to the emphatic, funky low-end he creates. Next, the unmistakable vocals of Nigel Hall (Lettuce, Warren Haynes Band) and his innate ability to preach with a keyboard hit the groove in full force. Over the top comes Nick Cassarino (Jennifer Hartswick Band, The Shift), oozing more soul in one finger than most guitarists could create in a lifetime, and with a voice that immediately wraps the room in sex appeal. West African djembe master Weedie Braimah (Toubab Krewe, Kreative Pandemonium) is the final X-factor, creating a rhythmic symphony that completes the equation with resounding finesse.

Cory Henry is a multi-instrumentalist and producer with a catalog worthy of a man twice his age. His primary instrument is the organ, and he began playing at the age of two. At the age of six he competed at the Apollo Theater and made it to the finalist round. In 2010 he co-produced Jay White's Larger than Life. Later that year he released his first album Christmas With You, which featured his lively renditions of Christmas classics and prominently showcased his skill as an improvisor. Kim Burrell's Grammy nominated and Stellar Award winning Love album released in 2011 boasted several tracks that were written and produced by Henry. That year he wrote for and produced much of Krishnar Lewis' One Lover's Trilogy album and released his first, "Leave you alone".

STYX
AXS-TV SPECIAL PREMIERES MARCH 15;

SUPPORTING DEF LEPPARD
ON MASSIVE SUMMER TOUR;

IN-PROGRESS HEADLINING TOUR CONTINUES

February 24, 2015 – It’s been over two years since a full STYX concert was broadcast on national TV (“Styx:  The Grand Illusion/Pieces Of Eight Live” DVD, which aired on VH1 Classic and the Palladia HD channel).  Now comes time for a brand new live event that’s set to premiere on AXS TV on Sunday, March 15 at 8pm Eastern Time/5pm Pacific Time.

The band’s show was filmed at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, NV in front of a sold-out, adoring audience during last year’s “The Soundtrack of Summer” tour.  STYX performed many of their greatest hits, including “Come Sail Away,”  “Renegade,” and “The Grand Illusion.”  They even dug deep into their catalog for such fan favorites as “Light Up,” and were joined on stage by tour mate and former Eagles guitar legend Don Felder for “Blue Collar Man.”  Felder’s show earlier that same night was also filmed for AXS TV, which will air immediately following STYX’s special.  Felder’s special culminates with special guest STYX guitarist Tommy Shaw trading vocals and the classic electric guitar licks on “Hotel California.”

Meanwhile, as STYX’s headlining tour continues to work its way across the U.S., the legendary Rock band has confirmed a massive summer tour supporting another legendary Rock band, Def Leppard, along with Tesla.  The three-month trek will launch in June and conclude October 4 in Bismarck, ND at the Bismarck Civic Center.  Combined, STYX--Tommy Shaw (vocals, guitar), James “JY” Young (guitar, vocals), Chuck Panozzo (bass), Lawrence Gowan (vocals, keyboards), Ricky Phillips (bass) and Todd Sucherman (drums)--and Def Leppard have sold over 100 million albums worldwide.

“Our 2007 tour with Def Leppard forged a friendship that's never wavered,” proclaims STYX singer/guitarist Tommy Shaw.  “It was such an unforgettably fun experience for us.  We've all been waiting for the planets to align so we could do it again.  Well friends, they have indeed aligned!  And this time, those soulful bad boys from Sacramento, Tesla, will be there, too.  What a night of music this will be!
Is summer here yet? Come on!”

Guitarist James “JY” Young is equally as excited.  "The mutual admiration society between Styx and Def Leppard began in the UK in 1978 when Joe Elliott attended Styx's first-ever performance in Def Leppard's home town of Sheffield, England,” he says.  “Both bands having emanated from working class beginnings, either on the South Side of Chicago, or the Steel Town of Sheffield, England, there is a natural camaraderie and synergy amongst them.  I feel like these guys are long-lost brothers of mine.  It's going to be Guitars A-blazin' and Drums A-poundin' regardless of who’s on the stage, featuring arguably the most successful rock band of the late 1980's, paired with one of the most successful bands of the late 1970s, early 1980s.  The ingestion of too much sugar can lead to illness, but ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’ is a recipe for healthy smiles and a fun night for everyone!!!”

THE CASEY DONAHEW BAND
    FEBRUARY 27TH, 2015
BALLPARK VILLAGE
ST. LOUIS, MO

The Casey Donahew Band's album “STANDOFF” debuted at #1 on the iTunes Country chart and #8 on the ITunes overall chart

The Casey Donahew Band’s latest CD release, STANDOFF is another collection of pure Texas country from one of the Lone Star state’s hardest-working artists and the proof is in the impressive sales debut for the independent act, debuting at #1 on the iTunes Country Chart, #8 on the iTunes overall chart, at #7 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and #32 on Billboard’s Top 200 Album chart.
For over a decade Casey and the band have crossed the country and back, burning up every stage in their path with their unique brand of country, selling out over 60 venues in 2012 alone, in markets such as Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Illinois,  Kansas, Colorado, Arizona, Montana, New Mexico, Nebraska, Idaho, Tennessee and more.
Their debut single, “Whiskey Baby,” topped the Texas country charts and his current single “Small Town Love” promises to be another success for Casey and the band.
Just like their predecessors/fellow Texas acts, the Eli Young Band and the Randy Rogers Band, who broke out and garnered mainstream attention, the Casey Donahew Band is a band on the mainstream verge…they’ve captured the hearts of Texans and beyond for years and soon the rest of the world will know what legions of loyal fans have already figured out – The Casey Donahew Band is the real deal.  Casey’s “no holds barred” approach to music, and life in general, give him the upper hand when it comes to delivering his brand of honest music with a message to his fans.
“We’re big supporters of the Second Amendment, the right to bear arms and standing up for what you believe in. We thought it was a great concept for the new album, hence the title. It also sums up a lot of how we’ve spent our career in the music business too. We’ve done it on our own as outlaws outside the system. I’m very excited to take this new collection of songs out to the fans. It’s always fun to make new music. I hope they enjoy it as much as I did writing and making it,” says Donahew.

WHAT THE CRITICS ARE SAYING:
“Considering buying a ticket for a Casey Donahew Band show? Strap yourself into your boots. For an act that doesn’t have the production that master showman Garth Brooks had, the Texas six-piece manages to whip their audience into a frenzy that parallels any that greeted Garth in his heyday.”—Country Weekly Magazine

“Donahew, like the Texans who've come before him, is not Nashville. He doesn't sing about happy endings glossed over with a heavy hand in the studio. This is music that breathes a crazy madness, sobering and reflective one song, then upended by a raw and rough-hewn energy that breaks the three-minute, country-radio-friendly rules. It's infectious and fresh….” – Arizona Daily Star

GRAMMY NOMINATED ED SHEERAN TO PERFORM AT CHAIFETZ ARENA ON
MAY 10

On-Sale Friday, March 6 at 10am

Ed Sheeran Fan Club members and American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Monday, March 2nd at 10am through Thursday, March 5th at 10pm.

Atlantic recording artist Ed Sheeran has announced details for his 2015 North American headlining tour with a stop at Chaifetz Arena on Sunday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets to go on sale Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. at www.Ticketmaster.com, charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000, Ticketmaster outlets, and at the Chaifetz Arena Box Office.

The cross country trek – produced and promoted by AEG Live & The Messina Group (TMG) - will kick off at Austin’s Frank Erwin Center on May 6th and includes stops at New York City’s Forest Hills Stadium and the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The dates are part of Sheeran’s highly successful worldwide tour, which culminates with three sold out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium.  Additionally, Sheeran will be among the top-billed performers at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (May 2nd) and Rock in Rio USA in Las Vegas (May 15th).  For more ticket information and tour updates, please visit www.edsheeran.com.

The tour announcement comes on the heels of the acclaimed singer-songwriter’s triumphant night at the 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards, where Sheeran was nominated for 3 awards, including the prestigious “Album of the Year” for his RIAA platinum-certified album “x” (pronounced multiply).  Sheeran’s other nominations came in the categories for “Best Pop Vocal Album” and “Best Song Written For Visual Media” for his song “I See Fire” from the feature film The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.  Sheeran also received one of the biggest ovations of the night for his performance of his RIAA-certified Platinum single “Thinking Out Loud,” where he was joined by GRAMMY winners Herbie Hancock, John Mayer, and Questlove.  Sheeran returned to the stage to perform with the legendary Jeff Lynne’s ELO.  Both “x” and “Thinking Out Loud” shot to #1 on iTunes immediately following his appearance.

Already proving to be one of the biggest songs of the year, Sheeran’s latest single “Thinking Out Loud” has skyrocketed to #1 on the Hot AC radio chart and #2 at Top 40. Likewise, “Thinking Out Loud” stands tall at #2 on Billboard Hot 100, earning the acclaimed singer-songwriter the highest charting U.S. single of his career so far.  “Thinking Out Loud” is the third single from “x” following back-to-back RIAA-certified Platinum singles “Sing” and “Don’t.”  Already a global smash, “Thinking Out Loud” has already gone to #1 in 9 countries around the world, including his native United Kingdom.  Sheeran debuted the single in the U.S. with high profile performances of the song on CBS’ “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” and the season finale of NBC’s “The Voice” in December.  The single’s beautifully-shot companion music video (http://youtu.be/lp-EO5I60KA)  – directed by longtime collaborator Emil Nava – has already amassed over 215 million views and features Sheeran ballroom dancing, a skill he learned through intensive, five-hour training sessions over the course of ten days during the North American leg of his worldwide arena tour.

Next up, Sheeran is set to appear on the syndicated “Ellen DeGeneres Show” today for a post-GRAMMY performance of “Thinking Out Loud.”  The acclaimed artist is also among the star-studded lineup performing on CBS’ “Stevie Wonder: Songs In The Key Of Life – An All-Star GRAMMY Salute” which airs on February 16.  Sheeran will return to London to perform at this year’s BRIT Awards, where he’s nominated for 4 awards, including Male Solo Artist, Single, and Album Of The Year.

An excerpt from Jimmy Page's acceptance speech for the Rock'n'Roll Soul award:

"Well, well, well... Thank you to Royal Blood. They said it's an honour to be giving this award but it's an honour for me. I trust so much in Royal Blood. Thanks so much for this award, NME. It's a real honour to get it, [but] as far as whatever I've managed to do in music, I've learned from records and my heroes. I'm only just passing on the baton. I got the music and passed it on. THOMAS RHETT’S DEBUT ALBUM PEAKS WITH THIRD CONSECUTIVE #1 AND
ACM NEW ARTIST OF THE YEAR NOMINATION

APPEARING AT HOLLYWOOD CASINO AMPHITHEATRE WITH
FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE

Nashville, TN  (February 24, 2015) – PLATINUM-selling Country artist THOMAS RHETT’s momentum continues to escalate as he establishes himself “at the forefront of young Country singers” (Tampa Bay Times) with the third consecutive #1 hit off his debut album IT GOES LIKE THIS (The Valory Music Co.), and his first as the artist and songwriter. The infectiously soulful GOLD-certified “Make Me Wanna” summits both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase radio charts this week, just days after securing his first-ever ACM nod as one of only three New Artist of the Year nominees. Thomas Rhett now stands with only a small number of elite artists who can claim three #1 smash hits, more than 3.8 million digital downloads, over 150 “high-energy all the way” (El Paso Times) live shows a year as well as both ACM and CMA New Artist of the Year nominations from a debut project.

“This song is the perfect bridge between IT GOES LIKE THIS and the new stuff we’ve been working on,” said Thomas Rhett. “So, this kind of support from Country Radio, my friends in the industry and the fans who have been relentlessly supporting me has got me really pumped for what’s next!”

Since his debut, Thomas Rhett has created his own signature blend of Country music that combines Country songwriting with dynamic energy and hip hop, retro and even disco-inspired touches. He’s offered hits ranging from the reflective “Beer with Jesus” to his PLATINUM-certified three-week #1 “It Goes Like This.” His natural swagger and boundary-pushing tendencies earned a New Artist nomination from the CMA last fall and has critics boldly claiming “it’d be hard to find another newcomer with more promise” (Sioux City Journal), with Billboard most recently crowning “Make Me Wanna” as the Best Country Songs of 2014. Additionally, the hit-maker claims credits beyond his own repertoire, having penned hit tracks recorded by some of Country’s biggest stars including Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line.

Currently, fans can catch Thomas Rhett’s “undeniable" live show as direct support for Florida Georgia Line’s ANYTHING GOES TOUR 2015 and in select markets as a headliner this year.

The ANYTHING GOES TOUR will make a stop at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre on Sept 26. For more information on this date, visit www.livenation.com.

Nashville, TN (February 24, 2015) – Nothing gives a voice to students like music! Next month, RaeLynn will hit the road to encourage today’s youth to “Always Sing.” The mantra is also the name of an aptly titled song she wrote for the initiative, which is available now on iTunesand celebrates the 30th Anniversary of National Music In Our Schools Month. Building on the success of the 2014 Music In Our Schools Tour, RaeLynn will visit five communities in the United States and join Give a Note Foundation and Radio Disney in sharing the message that music belongs in school.

Kicking off the 30th Anniversary of National Music In Our Schools Month this March, the tour will begin with a performance by RaeLynn at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. RaeLynn will perform at Festival Disney as part of Disney Performing Arts, a national competitive music festival, where top school instrumental and vocal ensembles compete with other groups from across the country.

The week-long bus tour, powered by Radio Disney, will make stops along the way where student ensembles will perform “Always Sing.” A highlight at each location will be a special private concert by RaeLynn, who solidified her standing as the highest charting debut single by a solo female artist in 2014, with the empowering, gold-certified “God Made Girls.” The vibrant 20-year-old CMT Next Women of Country honoree will also sing tracks from the diverse collection she penned for her Me EP (The Valory Music Co.), which climbed into the Top 5 on iTunes Top Country Albums chart upon release and her new single "For A Boy," available March 9 on iTunes. No stranger to life on the road, The Voice (season 2) alum is currently on fellow Texan Miranda Lambert’s CERTIFIED PLATINUM Tour and head out with Rascal Flatts’ RIOT TOUR 2015 this summer. Radio Disney's on-air personality Brooke Taylor will host the on-site activities and experience alongside RaeLynn at each stop.

The route includes visits to schools in five cities: Sayville High School in West Sayville, NY, near Long Island (March 9); Bowie High School in Bowie, MD, near Washington, DC, (March 10); Mason Elementary in Canton, OH, near Cleveland (March 11); Ridgeview Elementary in Hobart, IN, near Chicago, IL (March 12); and Thomas Jefferson Elementary in Jeffersonville, IN, near Louisville, KY (March 13). Culminating on March 14, students from Head Middle School in Nashville, TN, will perform with RaeLynn at the Grand Ole Opry.

Give a Note Foundation, in partnership with the National Association for Music Education, selected each school to be honored as part of the Music In Our Schools tour for their music programs’ outstanding achievements and recognizing the important role music education plays in their students' daily curriculum.

In October 2014, RaeLynn had the opportunity to preview “Always Sing” for music educators and students from across the country. She is once again looking forward to sharing stories and honoring their musical endeavors. “There was an instant connection between me and these inspiring teachers and accomplished students,” said Raelynn. “I wanted to do something special for them and writing ‘Always Sing’ seemed like a perfect way to celebrate everything that music can do for students—and adults.”

Tabor Stamper, chair of Give a Note Foundation, comments, “We need to get everyone involved in supporting music education for students. Too often, programs are cut without regard to the life-long benefits music study provides for students. We hope through this tour that people will remember how important music was to them and how it has helped them to achieve success. RaeLynn’s song reminds us that music stays with us and we can ‘Always Sing’… or play.”

“Joining with RaeLynn, one of the brightest young names in country music, and the 2015 Music In Our Schools Tour was a natural fit for Radio Disney,” said Phil Guerini, Vice President, Programming and General Manager, Radio Disney. “We regularly host artists at Radio Disney Studios who were positively impacted by music education in their schools. We are excited to support this program and RaeLynn.”

In less than a year, the label celebrated its first #1 album and first #1 single. Southern stylist Justin Moore has become a Country Radio airplay staple as well as a touring force to be reckoned with after earning five trips to the top of the charts, most recently with “Lettin’ the Night Roll,” and being named ACM New Artist of the Year. Breakout sensation Brantley Gilbert has been on fire since joining the label, earning multiple award nominations, PLATINUM certifications and #1 hits as an artist and songwriter, including the 2X-PLATINUM Certified “Bottoms Up." Singer/songwriter Thomas Rhett has burst onto the scene with three consecutive chart-toppers “It Goes Like This,” “Get Me Some of That” and “Make Me Wanna.” Exuberant talent RaeLynn scored as the highest charting debut single by a solo female with the GOLD-certified “God Made Girls.” The Valory Music Co. is also home to GRAMMY Award-winning band The Mavericks and talented newcomer Levi Hummon.
