HIGHLIGHTS FROM VIDEO:
“Everything that I’m trying to be with music and now somehow television, Glen Campbell was the inventor of that in Country music in my eyes,” says Blake Shelton.
See Paul McCartney meet Glen Campbell backstage at the 2012 GRAMMY Awards where he humorously sings “Rhinestone Cowboy” to the GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Winner.
“We always kind of fight for respect a little bit as Country players. And here’s a guy that played on these records that, he could stand toe to toe with anybody,” says Brad Paisley.
“He’s left his mark in the music industry time and time again and will continue to and he’s continuing to do it now, again, in the latter part of his life…. I find that to be so inspiring. Musicians like Glen, it’s magical, what they did. It’s magic,” says Chad Smith (Drummer, Red Hot Chili Peppers).
