UPON A BURNING BODY is currently wrapping up a tour in the UK! Check out a great new show review by Metal Hammer here: http://metalhammer.teamrock.com/reviews/2014-11-24/upon-a-burning-body-live-in-london

“Many may still bemoan UPON A BURNING BODY’s infamous and poorly executed PR stunt, but judging by the crowd in the Underworld tonight – which is impressively busy given a) the backlash that greeted that aforementioned stunt and b) Crossfaith are playing just down the road – people are still willing to let the music do the talking. There’s a sense of excitement in the air that has been sorely lacking across much of the more, for want of a better term, ‘mainstream metal’ scene as of late. Despite their setbacks and however many of those may have been self-inflicted, however, this is still a band very much on the brink of going somewhere big.”

Remaining UK Headliner dates:
11/25 - Roadhouse @ Manchester
11/26 - Academy @ Birmingham

UPON A BURNING BODY’s debut offering, The World Is Ours, caught the metal scene by storm with its crushing Pantera-esque grooves and dynamic riffing and captivating hooks. Then with the success of their sophomore album, Red.White. Green., they continued to march the path of great metal taking the band to new, higher levels. Their live performance is unmatched, which quickly had their name being spread by the masses throughout the scene.

Their highly acclaimed new offering The World Is My Enemy Now was tracked, mixed and mastered with renowned producer Will Putney (For Today, Body Count) at The Machine Shop in NJ. The record debuted at #39 on the Billboard Top 200 in its first week, solidifying the band as a new force to be reckoned with in heavy metal.

With a clear vision for their identity and an immeasurable level of determination, UPON A BURNING BODY are touring full-time throughout the world spreading their message of dedication, self-belief and relentless competitive greatness. Sumerian founder Ash Avildsen commented, UPON A BURNING BODY frontman Danny Leal has one of the most distinguishable and decipherable voices I have heard in years. With the perfect soundtrack of riffs and beats backing him and an explosive live show, there is no question what the very near future will hold for this band.”

AC/DC Rock Or Bust Now Streaming Exclusively On iTunes NEW MUSIC VIDEO RELEASED FOR SINGLE "ROCK OR BUST"

ROCK OR BUST AVAILABLE DECEMBER 2ND

A week before its December 2nd release, AC/DC are giving fans an early chance to enjoy their latest album Rock or Bust which is streaming now exclusively as an iTunes Radio "First Play," http://www.iTunesRadio.com/ACDC.  This marks the first opportunity for fans to listen at will to all 11 tracks on Rock or Bust.  The songs "Play Ball" and "Rock or Bust" were made available early to fans who pre-order the album here: iTunesRadio.com/ACDC.
Earlier today, AC/DC released the official video for the title track "Rock or Bust." Shot in London in early October, the video was directed by longtime collaborator David Mallet and features die hard fans from around the globe surrounding their heroes performing the song in an intimate club environment. USA Today recently chose "Rock or Bust" as their Song Of The Week and praised the track's energy saying "AC/DC still has the ability, as Johnson sings, to 'rock you to your knees.'"  While Rolling Stone proclaimed the song a "reverent tribute to rock & roll itself."
Anticipation and excitement among fans is building ahead of the December 2nd release of Rock or Bust.  Listening events were held last week across the globe, which brought the excitement to a new high.  Fans at the New York City listening event at Webster Hall on December 18th were treated to a special surprise visit by lead singer Brian Johnson and guitarist Angus Young
Rock or Bust was produced by Brendan O'Brien, with Mike Fraser mixing. The album's cover art uses a developed 3-D lenticular technology, which gives the illusion of the band's iconic logo exploding as the album is moved. Rock or Bust is the band's first album of new material in six years, following their immensely successful Black Ice, which entered charts at #1 in 31 countries and has sold nearly 8 million copies worldwide.

At the tender age of 24, Noah Gundersen is already a young veteran who recorded his first album on his dad’s Tascam Studio 8 reel-to-reel home tape machine at 13. Born in the tiny town of Centralia, WA—about midway between Portland and Seattle—Gundersen has honed his craft through a series of albums, both solo (with his sister Abby, an expert string player) and with their band The Courage. He’s already placed songs on TV shows like Sons of Anarchy, Vampire Diaries and One Tree Hill. His latest album, Ledges, self-produced and recorded at Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard’s Studio Litho in Seattle, represents the latest stop in a journey which began in his strictly conservative, religious home growing up, where he was strictly forbidden to listen to secular music. Instead he grew up listening to Bob Dylan’s gospel albums, along with Christian artists such as Keith Green, Larry Norman and Rich Mullins. On Ledges, Noah Gundersen goes from a boy to a man before our very ears. It’s a journey well worth taking with him.

He was also the ʻTap Water Awardʼ winner at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for best musical act. His legendary collaboration and multiple tours with Buckethead as The Frankenstein Brothers has further cemented his virtuoso story as a creative visionary as well.

JONI MITCHELL -- LOVE HAS MANY FACES OUT TODAY ON RHINO

Mitchell Curates Four-Disc Collection Featuring 53 Newly Remastered Songs Recorded Throughout Her Landmark Career That Evoke Her Vision Of Love

Mitchell to Appear On PBS' Tavis Smiley On
Tuesday, November 25th For Rare Interview

"Joni Mitchell always has been, and will always be, utterly irreplaceable"
-Rolling Stone

LOS ANGELES - NOVEMBER 24, 2014 - Joni Mitchell's new four-disc boxed set LOVE HAS MANY FACES: A QUARTET, A BALLET, WAITING TO BE DANCED is available at retailers today. The four-disc collection features 53 newly remastered songs recorded throughout her landmark career. Mitchell selected the material from 40 years of recording and designed the package, which includes 53 lyrical poems, six new paintings, and an autobiographical text illuminating her recording process. The set is available for a suggested list price of $59.98.

On Tuesday, November 25th Joni Mitchell will return to PBS' Tavis Smiley to discuss the new release. For local airtimes, visit http://www.pbs.org/wnet/tavissmiley/

LOVE HAS MANY FACES: A QUARTET, A BALLET, WAITING TO BE DANCED was first conceived as the music to a ballet about love. But after spending 18 months trying to distill everything she'd written about love-and the lack of it-down to a single disc, the influential singer-songwriter abandoned the ballet. "I wanted the music to feel like a total work-a new work. No matter what I did, though, at that length, it remained merely a collection of songs," she writes in the set's liner notes.

Undaunted, Mitchell did not give up. Instead, she continued to sequence her songs, determined to prove to herself that what she was after was possible. After two years, she had created a four-act ballet based on the 53 songs that make up this inspiring collection. "I am a painter who writes songs. My songs are very visual. The words create scenes...What I have done here is to gather some of these scenes (like a documentary filmmaker) and by juxtaposition, edit them into a whole new work," the artist writes.

Mitchell organized the music into different thematic acts, which allowed her songs to interact with one another in a whole new way. The process, she says, was a lot like making a film. "I had forty years of footage to review. Then, suddenly, scenes began to hook up. Then series began to form. Instead of it being an emotional roller coaster ride as it was before-crammed into one disc-themes began to develop. Moods sustained. I was getting there...When this long editorial process (two years) finally came to rest, I had four ballets or a four-act ballet-a quartet. I also had a box set."

Long time listeners should find the music familiar but fresh. There has been a lot of sonic adjustment. Newcomers to this music have an adventure before them - a journey into highly-original, harmonically innovative, unusually rhythmic music. Some of the greatest musicians in the world are gathered here - supporting this emotionally charged exploration of love's many faces.

OPERATION TROOP AID HONORS KID ROCK
WITH 2014 "PATRIOT AWARD"

Kid Rock receives Patriot Award from OTA founder Mark Woods

Nashville, Tenn. – Operation Troop Aid (OTA), a nonprofit organization which supports U.S. Troops, honored award-winning, multi-platinum selling humanitarian Kid Rock, last week in Nashville, Tennessee, with the 2014 Operation Troop Aid “Patriot Award.”

Presented annually by OTA to celebrities that champion the men and women serving in the American Armed Forces, the rock star was awarded the Eagle Trophy for his countless endeavors to support troops overseas and at local hospitals and for supporting numerous military charities. Well known for his role as an American Patriot, Kid Rock, has performed at various military bases and continues to meet military personnel at every concert appearance.

"Kid Rock is one of the most giving entertainers I have ever met,” says OTA founder and executive director Mark Woods.  "He really gets it…  Last year, Kid Rock challenged his fans to help raise money to send care packages to the troops.  In one short month, we were able to ship over 500 care packages just in time for the holidays. His art, legacy of family and Spirit of Patriotism is exactly why this award exists.”

Kid Rock joins past Patriot Award recipients Hank Williams Jr., Toby Keith, Darryl Worley, Aaron Tippin, Gary Sinise, Charlie Daniels, Mark Wills, and KISS.

About Operation Troop Aid:
Founded in 2004 by 21-year military veteran, Mark Woods, Operation Troop Aid provides entertainment initiatives and care packages for U.S. Service Members with revenue generated through professional concert promotions and public financial generosity. OTA is a nonprofit corporation striving to make a positive difference and inspire the Armed Forces by letting them know Americans stand with them. OTA is a certified IRS approved charity.

As an entertainment based charity, each year OTA selects and presents The OPERATION TROOP AID Patriot Award to an entertainer / artist that best exemplifies the spirit of Patriotic service to our Troops and Americanism in their art.  It does not necessarily reflect events in that year, as it may be a historical grouping of their achievements to promote our Troops and American Patriotism.  It is an award that embodies a sense of service, supporting our American Troops and an overall outlook of honoring our Constitution and promoting the Freedom that our Troops provide.

A flurry of buzz elicited a hunger for more music, more signature swagger … more of The Mavericks. The Village Voice blatantly stated, “in a word or three, the Mavericks are cool as sh*t,” while No Depression insisted, “…the energy of a locomotive barreling down a track at a hundred miles an hour. The chemistry between these guys is so good...” Fans from the US, Canada, London, Australia, Scotland and places in between turned out for their exhilarating run of live shows throughout the last year of headline dates.

This band has always defied the odds and expectations…a Country band from Miami with a Cuban singer? But it works, because people feel the passion,” explained The Mavericks' guitarist Eddie Perez.

More MONO details and tour stops will be announced in the coming weeks. For up-to-date information, visit themavericksband.com.

ABOUT THE MAVERICKS: With a Cuban-American lead singer, garage band ferocity, an intense live show and a deep love of both romance and pure country to go with the polyrhythmic beats The Mavericks were raised on, they were unlikely superstars. Yet, their raucous sound broke ground for the Country format with hits like “Here Comes The Rain,” “Crying Shame,” “Dance The Night Away” and “All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down” and scored the group industry awards in prestigious categories like Vocal Group and Album of the Year. An indefinite divergence in 2004 led members Raul Malo, Paul Deakin and Eddie Perez and Jerry Dale McFadden in different directions until the 2013 release of IN TIME (The Valory Music Co.) and subsequent touring. Their first album and major tour in nearly twenty years topped many critics’ Best Of lists, including American Songwriter, The Boston Globe, NPR, Los Angeles Times and New York Magazine. The Mavericks’ music has most recently been featured in the movie GRUDGE MATCH and ABC’s NASHVILLE.

TY HERNDON, ANDY GRIGGS & JAMIE O'NEAL
SET TO TOUR TOGETHER IN 2015

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 22, 2014) There’s an old saying about there being strength in numbers. Country Music fans will no doubt find that out with the upcoming tour that teams up three of Country Music’s most distinctive stylists of the past two decades – Ty Herndon, Andy Griggs, and Jamie O’Neal. Separately, the numbers don’t lie – and together, they are staggering – over 40 chart singles on the Billboard Country Singles chart and millions of records sold. Each artist has their own success story to tell, but when they are on stage, it’s truly a magical combination – one that will stay in the minds of fans well after the last bow.

Talk to either Ty, Andy or Jamie, and you will find nothing but respect for the other two artists. Andy said that he’s excited to be teaming up with a pair of artists that are among his favorites, though he does admit that opposites do attract. “We all blend together about like Tupac, Bill Monroe and Joan Rivers but somehow it works on stage! Go figure! But when we’re not singing our hearts out together it's the most awkward, misplaced, dysfunctional, hilarious carnival that has ever been displayed!” Andy expects being on the road with Ty and Jamie to be nothing short of...entertaining.

When discussing Jamie, Andy says “Take a phenomenal female vocalist. Now add a husband to go with that that has to carry her 10 piece luggage all over God's creation. Then, mix it with her having to put up with 2 guys that are more different than night and day and can't even agree on having a vocal rehearsal which in return drives her so far up the wall that she's on verge of quitting the whole tour at any given moment of any given day and that's Jamie,” he says, adding that Ty is also an interesting character, as well.

“God certainly displays his amazing sense of humor each time he places me and Ty on tour together! I've never known a guy that I had half of the things in life in common with (born in the Spirit filled Bible Belt, completely southern, in love with the same kind of music...etc..) but then again can't be any more different than John Wayne and Prince! There's no way for us to completely understand each other's taste buds of life and we don't even pretend to try. That would be a total waste of each other's time. It's the strange ironies and upside down compasses in life though that makes us all rich. With Ty and myself, we share 2 of the rarest things in common. I suppose they out trump the mountains of shortcomings and differences that lay between us. Those two qualities we share are: being real and true to our natures, and being friends.”

Jamie feels that the new partnership will definitely be entertaining – on stage and off. “I'm so excited to be a part of this. Ty and Andy are two of the best male vocalists from any genre. They're so funny, good looking, and just a couple of goofy smart asses! I just couldn't resist. Ty is the most well put together, smoothest control freak I've ever met. Andy is a cute, lovable redneck with the softest heart. I only know when we sang together for the first time something very special happened and here we are, taking the next obvious step.”

Ty believes that the fans are going to get their monies worth when seeing their show live. He knows he’s been entertained from the stage. “The first time the three of us did a show together I wondered how in the world this would ever work. At first we did separate shows, but as time went on we started doing our shows together. The crowd seemed to love the fact that they got all these hits in one 2 hour show. Then we started singing harmonies with each other. I noticed pretty quickly that we had something special. Three powerhouse vocalists coming together and taking things to a new level. I first noticed it when something went wrong on stage and we had to save our asses by singing something acapella. ‘Amazing Grace’ never sounded so good. It was magic!”

About Ty Herndon:
Ty Herndon was born in the heart of Mississippi, and was raised in Alabama. He grew up enamored with much of the Gospel music that was around the south, performing around home as a teenager. After high school, he moved to the Lone Star State, where he developed his craft so well he was named as Texas Entertainer of the Year in 1993. Not too long after that, Ty found himself on the roster of Epic Records. His first single, “What Mattered Most,” topped the charts in the summer of 1999, and led to other number ones as “Living In A Moment” and “It Must Be Love.” He notched a pair of Gold albums for his first two releases – What Mattered Most and Living In A Moment. The past few years have seen no end to Ty’s artistry – as he earned a Dove Award and also a Grammy nomination for his 2010 release “Journey On,” and received some of the most sterling reviews of his career for his thought-provoking “Lies I Told Myself,” from his album of the same name.

About Andy Griggs:
Louisiana native Andy Griggs was a one-time minister in his home state before being signed to RCA Records in the late 1990s. His 1999 debut, “You Won’t Ever Be Lonely” (from his Gold-selling album of the same title) was one of the most played hits of the year, paving the way for such future hits as “She’s More,” “I’ll Go Crazy,” and the powerful “If Heaven.” Andy has collaborated with some equally talented artists in the past – such as Martina McBride, Blake Shelton, and one of his heroes, Waylon Jennings – with whom he teamed up on his debut album for “Shine On Me.” Andy’s soulful delivery can ooze romance or bring people to tears – especially on ballads such as 2013’s “20 Little Angels,” a song after the tragic events of Sandy Hook, CT. The singer also earned quite a bit of attention for his all-acoustic album Naked, which was also released in 2013, and for this year’s Triple Play EP, which was released on iTunes.

About Jamie O’Neal:
Performing comes very naturally to Jamie O’Neal. She started performing in a band with her family in Australia.  Jamie signed with Mercury Records in 2000. Right off the bat, she scored with not just a “Hit” record, but an instant classic with the haunting “There Is No Arizona.” Her follow-up, “When I Think About Angels,” also hit the top of the charts, helping to propel her debut disc, Shiver, to Gold status. She hit pay dirt time and again with other records like “Tryin’ To Find Atlantis” and “Somebody’s Hero.” Her 2002 collaboration with Mark Wills, “I’m Not Gonna Do Anything Without You,” remains a fan favorite to this day, and she was featured on the soundtrack of the box office hit Bridget Jones’ Diary. Eternal, her most recent album, contains her take on many classic songs by some of her favorite artists – including a smoldering take on Larry Gatlin’s “I’ve Done Enough Dyin’ Today,” as well as a take on the George Jones and Tammy Wynette classic “Golden Ring,” with Andy.

BRANTLEY GILBERT’S AMERICAN MUSIC AWARD UPSET
Outlaw Country Star Takes Album of the Year with JUST AS I AM

Cover Art Courtesy of The Valory Music Co.
Los Angeles, CA (November 23, 2014) – BRANTLEY GILBERT has quietly gone about making music that matters to the people. A full-grown man from Jefferson, GA who made his bones as a songwriter for others and a punch-it-out-on-the-road performer watched as his JUST AS I AM (The Valory Music Co.) took the Favorite Country Album award at tonight’s American Music Awards over critically-lauded outlaw Eric Church’s The Outsiders and living legend Garth Brooks’ Blame It On My Roots: Five Decades of Influences.

“I wasn’t expecting this,” a stunned Gilbert said onstage. “It was an honor just to be considered for this award, to be in the same category as two people I really look up to and respect in this business...I wanna give credit to the people that don’t get all the bright lights and get to take one of these home: the fans, call’em friends or whatever you want to, this one’s for y’all!”

JUST AS I AM’s Favorite Country Album win marks Gilbert’s first major award. Debuting with over 200,000 copies sold and topping the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart, JUST AS I AM takes the platinum-certified HALFWAY TO HEAVEN’s momentum and shows he’s a force to be reckoned with. His sound, which rocks country’s very foundation has caught the ear of USA Today, who recognized his unique hybrid, “coupling ‘80s-rock machismo with backroads buzzwords.” New York Newsday raved, “on his three albums, the Georgia-born star has been kicking out the jams of Nashville, bringing as much arena-rock bombast to his music as he does the more common sounds and sentiments of the country genre” and AllMusic.com opined, “he's an outlaw with no desire to rebel, an insider who doesn't belong, so his music exists just outside of the perimeters of what is accepted and is all the more powerful for it.”

“I write what I know...and I write what I live. It’s gritty, but it’s how life where I come from is. I guess that really connected for people, which makes me proud,” the man who’s notched five #1s, as well as writing Jason Aldean’s “Dirt Road Anthem” and “My Kinda Party” said backstage after the win. “I never thought about being here, but for someone who cares about the music the way I do, it sure feels like the music’s hitting home.”

Currently winding down the second leg of his LET IT RIDE TOUR, selling out major venues nationwide – including a December 5 date at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and a Florida run before shutting it down for the year. Joining Kenny Chesney’s THE BIG REVIVAL TOUR for its stadium shows, the low-slung writer/artist who’s been compared to Waylon Jennings, Kid Rock and David Allen Coe will head to Europe for a run in February and March.

“Country music isn’t necessarily what people think.” Gilbert explains. ”It’s of the people, working people who know how hard it is to get by – and do it with everything they got. They live proud, they work hard and they love like it’s all that matters. When you write songs that hit like that, you don’t necessarily need a fiddle to connect...”

The New York Times agrees, writing “he’s unapologetically rough, singing with the tenderness of a chain saw. And on this strong album — his third in a row — he betrays no shame about his creatine-fueled version of country music.” Now with an American Music Award for Favorite Country Album, the Academy of Country Music’s New Male Vocalist is set to reach even higher than ever.
