“Turn Down For What” is undoubtedly the biggest club track of the past
year – so when it came time to transform the hit into an even heavier
anthem while retaining the spark of the original track, Texas metal
scene-leaders UPON A BURNING BODY charged the plate with the help of the one and only OG, Ice-T. The track is part of a slew of awesome new covers included on Punk Goes Pop Vol. 6, available via Fearless Records this coming Monday, November 17th. Pre-order your copy now via iTunes or at www.PunkGoes.com!
Make sure to stay tuned to the Spencer’s official Facebook page (www.facebook.com/spencers) to hear the track in full on Sunday, November 16th at 8:00pm PST/11:00pm EST.
When it came to attacking the music video for “Turn Down For What”, the UPON A BURNING BODY boys turned their infamous partying skills up a notch. Portraying a banger that only Ice-T and the UABB boys could throw, the official music video presented by Spencer’s Gifts features endless drinks from UABB sponsor COLDCOCK Whiskey, gorgeous dancers, and much more that fans can witness in full on Monday during the full video premiere!
“It was amazing doing a video with Ice-T,” states UABB’s Danny Leal. “He is such an inspiration. To be able to have him in a UABB video is a true honor. We hope everyone enjoys and parties to our remake of “Turn Down For What”.”
Select press outlets were invited to the music video shoot, which took place in New York City on Saturday, November 8th, and select photo and review coverage has been posted via Loudwire.com and Sinestra Studios. caught the metal scene by storm with its crushing Pantera-esque grooves
and dynamic riffing and captivating hooks. Then with the success of
their sophomore album, Red.White. Green., they continued
to march the path of great metal taking the band to new, higher levels.
Their live performance is unmatched, which quickly had their name being
spread by the masses throughout the scene.
Their highly acclaimed new offering The World Is My Enemy Now was tracked, mixed and mastered with renowned producer Will Putney (For Today, Body Count)
at The Machine Shop in NJ. The record debuted at #39 on the Billboard
Top 200 in its first week, solidifying the band as a new force to be
reckoned with in heavy metal.
With a clear vision for their identity and an immeasurable level of determination, UPON A BURNING BODY
are touring full-time throughout the world spreading their message of
dedication, self-belief and relentless competitive greatness. Sumerian

frontman Danny Leal has one of the most distinguishable and
decipherable voices I have heard in years. With the perfect soundtrack
of riffs and beats backing him and an explosive live show, there is no
question what the very near future will hold for this band.”
