BRANTLEY GILBERT SPOTLIGHTS LOCAL FARMER HEROES AS
FIRE’T UP TOUR KICKS OFF

Georgia Native Partners with Farmer Veteran Coalition & Musically Fed to Create Tour Catering Experience That Celebrates the Local Communities
Watch the video featuring members of Farmer Veteran Coalition set to Gilbert’s “Tough Town” HERE.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – As hard-rocking country singer-songwriter Brantley Gilbert hits the road on his Fire’t Up Tour, he’s challenged his team to reimagine every element – including what fans don’t see, behind the scenes. As America’s heartland struggles to find its footing, Gilbert is partnering with Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) to purchase a selection of products for catering on each concert stop, spotlighting the value locally sourced meats, dairy and produce can make on each community. Alignment with FVC is a natural extension for Gilbert given the longstanding support the superstar has shown for men & women in uniform. Charged with curating farming’s next generation via mentorship of returning military veterans, the spirit of FVC is displayed HERE in a video set to “Tough Town,” an album track from Gilbert’s new album Fire & Brimstone.

“I still live in the town where I grew up, and I know that excitement for a show doesn’t start when doors open, it has the power to rally the community well ahead of when we show up to load-in and soundcheck,” shares Gilbert. “Our goal is to help boost local economies, showcase the best foods from the region and spend a bit of time thanking these great folks for all they do.”

A first for a Country music tour, Gilbert’s tour catering partner, Taste Event, will work with local farmers in 25 cities-and-counting on his 2020 tour to create a farm-to-catering approach for the tour's footprint. Farmers, and their families, furnishing the food are invited to share their stories, dine with the tour, meet Gilbert and stay for the show.

“We hear on a regular basis from our veteran members how farming has meaning beyond a livelihood,” relayed Michael O’Gorman, founder and Executive Director of FVC. “Brantley Gilbert’s historic support of veterans is what’s so great about this fit – the veterans are really looking for a purpose and a place when they exit the military, and agriculture offers them this purpose and opportunity, with both a physical and psychological benefit. And America’s farming community just happens to really need them.”

Bringing things full circle on tour, Gilbert is also associating with Musically Fed, a non-profit that distributes excess food each night to organizations tackling hunger in each market.

“Musically Fed is honored to be a partner with Brantley Gilbert on his Fire't Up 2020 Tour and Farmer Veteran Coalition. What a great way to be associated with and working alongside veterans to serve these communities in ways that will benefit many,” says Insight Management’s Maria Brunner, Founder of Musically Fed. “Our goal is to leave a footprint for it to continue. Special thanks to Brantley Gilbert and his entire team."

Gilbert, one of the few country artists to have back-to-back Platinum albums this century, borrowed the title of his latest single “Fire’t Up” to brand his current tour, which kicked off Jan. 23 with two shows in Canada, followed by 32 cities in the U.S. Joining Gilbert on the road will be special guests
Chase Rice, Dylan Scott and Brandon Lay. For more details on the tour, visit BrantleyGilbert.com.

About Brantley Gilbert
With back-to-back Platinum albums and a grassroots following millions strong, Brantley Gilbert has clearly struck a nerve. The Georgia native who started as the defiant life-of-the-party can still go ‘til sunrise, but he’s also emerged as something far greater: the leader of a massive tribe of hard-working, fun-loving believers for whom electric guitar-shredding, rapping, and twang can go hand-in-hand-in-hand. They call themselves the BG Nation, and when the BG Nation watches Gilbert on a stage, they don’t just see a star. They see themselves. Seven No. 1 hits punctuate his career: “Country Must be Country Wide,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” CMA Awards Song of the Year nominee “Dirt Road Anthem,” “My Kinda Party,” “Bottoms Up,” “One Hell of an Amen” and collaboration with Lindsay Ell “What Happens In A Small Town.” Gilbert’s landmark record Just As I Am clinched the 2014 American Music Award for Favorite Country Album. Earning praise from the New York Times, NPR, American Songwriter, and more, Gilbert has mined a rich vein of conflict between the party and the pew on all of his albums. Instead of toiling in limbo, unable to enjoy good times for fear of Judgment Day, Gilbert fully lives––rowdy friend, man of faith, devoted husband, smitten new father––just as he is. Fire & Brimstone, out now (10/4/19) via The Valory Music Co., is Gilbert’s most mature and complex exploration of his world to date. Gilbert embarks on his Fire’t Up Tour 2020 on January 23 in London, Canada with special guests Chase Rice, Dylan Scott and Brandon Lay. For additional information, visit

About Farmer Veteran Coalition
The mission of Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) is mobilizing veterans to feed America. A national non-profit charity, it helps veterans pursue careers in farming or related agricultural professions. Representing more than 18,000 veteran members, FVC fosters the collaboration of farming and military communities and cultivates a new generation of farmers and food leaders throughout the country. They support the men and women who choose to continue their service to the country – once by defending it and now by feeding it. Rooted in their strong belief that veterans possess the unique skills and character needed to strengthen rural communities and create sustainable food systems, FVC recognizes that agriculture additionally offers veterans purpose, opportunity, and physical and psychological benefits.

In addition to their signature programs – the Farmer Veteran Fellowship Fund, Homegrown by Heroes certification, and both their National Conference and regional state chapter conferences – FVC has been successful in getting millions of dollars of USDA funds appropriated for farmer veterans and the groups that support them. They have built an extended community of organizations who look to them for leadership and guidance as the pioneer in this military-to-agriculture movement.

About Musically Fed
The mission of Musically Fed is to mobilize the music industry in the fight against hunger. We work with artists, promoters, management, and venues nationwide to donate unused, backstage meals to community organizations that feed the homeless, hungry, and food insecure. Musically Fed identifies the opportunities, procures the resources, and coordinates all aspects of food handling, transport, and distribution. Our daily goal is to make it easy for promoters and performers to leave each city they visit with a lasting positive impact. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Brantley Gilbert and Lindsay Ell celebrated their recent No. 1, “What Happens In A Small Town,” written by Gilbert, Rhett Akins, Josh Dunne and Brock Berryhill, on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at Music City Indoor Karting hosted by BMI. The single marks Gilbert’s fifth No. 1 as an artist and seventh No. 1 as a songwriter and Ell’s first U.S. No. 1.

Brantley, reflecting on his journey without pre prepared notes, spoke at length about how special this particular No.1 is for him. Facing Lindsay Ell he shared, “When you look for a duet partner, you want somebody that is not only going to pull their weight but exceed expectations. You did that and more. I’m honored to share this stage and this song with you.”

And of his co-writers, he turned, smiled and continued, “I’m so glad I have friends that write good songs.” “What Happens In A Small Town” is Akins’s 31st No. 1, Berryhill’s second No. 1 and Dunne’s first No. 1.

Each following-up their hit with new songs at Country radio, Gilbert released his second single from Fire & Brimstone, "Fire't Up," just before the holidays and Lindsay Ell’s current single, “I Don’t Love You,” is also now at Country radio.

About Lindsay Ell
Lauded as “one of the most exciting and talented young artists in country music” (Forbes), Lindsay Ell is a triple threat:  accomplished musician, unique vocalist and songwriter. The Calgary native learned to play guitar while traveling with her father to country-bluegrass camps as a young girl. Ell honed her craft as a musical stylist and songwriter after being discovered by BTO and The Guess Who’s Randy Bachman (“American Woman” / “Taking Care of Business”) who discovered her at the age of 13. The multi-instrumentalist was soon touring alongside the likes of Luke Bryan, Buddy Guy, and Keith Urban, as well as wowing audiences as Carrie Underwood’s guitar player live on the “50th Annual CMA Awards” and holding her own alongside icon Melissa Etheridge on Skyville Live. In the last year alone, the 2019 ACM New Female Artist of the Year nominee and CMT Awards nominee exhilarated audiences as part of Brad Paisley’s Weekend Warrior World Tour, Sugarland’s Still The Same Tour and Keith Urban’s Graffiti U World Tour. Ell’s first full-length album The Project debuted at No. 1 on the Country Album Sales Chart and was named Billboard’s “Best Country Album of 2017.” Her single “Criminal” was the Most Added song at Country radio upon impact and became her first-ever Top 20 hit in the U.S., in addition to becoming her first No. 1 single on the Canadian Country Radio Charts. “What Happens In a Small Town,” Lindsay’s duet with Brantley Gilbert, has claimed the top spot on Country radio, marking her first No. 1 in the US.
Six No. 1 hits punctuate his career: “Country Must be Country Wide,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” CMA Awards Song of the Year nominee “Dirt Road Anthem,” “My Kinda Party,” “Bottoms Up,” and “One Hell of an Amen.” Gilbert’s landmark record Just As I Am clinched the 2014 American Music Award for Favorite Country Album. Highly anticipated Fire & Brimstone, out October 4 via The Valory Music Co., is Gilbert’s most mature and complex exploration of his world to date. Nashville, TN (April 15, 2019): When Brantley Gilbert gets his tour on, he goes out of his way to make sure it’s unlike anything he’s ever done. Having spent last fall on the road with Kid Rock, he wanted to take his own southern rock country to some new places on his 2019 Not Like Us Tour – bringing some different flavors to the ever faithful BG Nation, which kicks off June 20 at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Joining the CMA Song of the Year nominee on the Not Like Us Tour will be traditional-leaning, country-pop superstar-in-the-making Michael Ray, known for “Get To You,” “One That Got Away,” “Kiss You In The Morning” and “Think A Little Less,” and the fiery, genre-blurring guitarist/vocalist Lindsay Ell, who joins Gilbert on his first male/female duet “What Happens In A Small Town,” as well as her own “Criminal” and “Shut Me Up.”

“I’m trying to open things up, but keep bringing the intensity,” Gilbert says of what might well be his most diverse line-up yet. “I think Michael really gets how guys feel, and rolls into a sound that’s all his own, and Lindsay, man, the only thing better than the way she sings is the way she plays that guitar! I am really fired up to be bringing both these folks out on the road this fall, because I know they’re gonna give the BG Nation something that’s gonna lift’em up, throw’em down, and make them glad they got there early.”

Having spent the last six months writing and working on his upcoming The Valory Music. Co. project, the full-throttle songwriter/outlier rocker is ready to get back on the road. With a tour concentrating on the East Coast and Midwest, it’s a chance to bring classics like “Bottoms Up,” “Miles of Memories,” “The Weekend,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” “Country Must Be Country Wide” and “One Hell of An Amen,” as well as road-testing some new music, to the ones who live his songs every day.

“People work hard for their money, and I take it very seriously when we come to town,” says the South Georgia-born and bred star. “Any time we hit that stage, we intend to give the people everything we’ve got. This new music is a whole new chapter of my life, and as much as the fans have been there for every step of this journey, I think – once again – they’re gonna know just what I’m singing, too.”

The tour of the same name is set to get off to a fast start with a few more dates to be announced. BRANTLEY GILBERT
One of only five Country artists to have back-to-back PLATINUM albums this century, Brantley Gilbert established a raw, hardcore fusion of rock/country/hip hop and gospel that consolidated the outsiders, outliers and full-tilt life livers in a collective known as the BG Nation. The Georgia-born-and-bred songwriter/rocker has six No. 1s as an artistand songwriter  -- “Country Must Be Country Wide,” “Bottoms Up,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” “One Hell of an Amen,” “My Kinda Party” and the CMA Song of the Year nominee “Dirt Road Anthem” – and the 2014 American Music Award for Favorite Country Album for JUST AS I AM to his credit. Hailed by Entertainment Weekly for “swaggering guitars, catchy hooks, and a DGAF attitude,” NPR for “performances (that) are instantly recognizable, often confrontational and pack a punch” and American Songwriter who proclaims, “Gilbert never fails to deliver,” the South Georgia superstar is his own very specific kind of country.

MICHAEL RAY
With three No. 1 singles – “Kiss You In The Morning,” “Think A Little Less,” and “The One that Got Away” from his unstoppable No. 3 Top Country Album debut Amos, Michael Ray represents the best of the next wave of country. Touring with Darius Rucker, Kip Moore and Old Dominion, the Florida-forged Ray understands music fuses people together through songs. A dedicated fan of the Opry, his fresh take on mainstream country earned him a 2019 Academy of Country Music nomination for Best New Male Artist.

Brantley Gilbert & NASCAR: “Not Like Us”

Track from Upcoming Fall Album Underscores Driver Chase Elliott Piece

Richmond, VA (April 12, 2019): With the growling guitars and crashing drums, Brantley Gilbert’s kind of blue collar country has always thrashed a little harder, dug a little deeper and reached a little farther. Given the South Georgia native’s passion for the open road, when NASCAR was looking for artists to team with vignettes about their drivers, the CMA Song of the Year nominee was top of mind. And with Gilbert in the studio, there was plenty of great music to choose from.

Ultimately “Not Like Us,” with it's swaggering lead guitar blaze over a terse acoustic part that punched, was deemed the perfect song for NASCAR’s all-in kind of racing. As the chorus kicks in, telling all challengers their “Not like us / We’re on another level.. / Callin' yall's bluff / Show me what ya got / I'll show you that you're not like us / Wanna be, yeah, you know you wanna like us / but you're never gonna be like us...”

“We wrote this out on the road, and it’s got that feel,” Gilbert says of the song’s serious throttle. “It’s funny how everybody wants to be – like the first verse says – a big dog, but when you get right down to it, wanting and being are two different things. When you look at NASCAR, what those drivers do, there isn’t anybody in the world like’em.”

As The New York Times has written, “Mr. Gilbert comes on like a revving monster-truck engine, backed by heavy rock guitar, but there’s a slyness to his singing. Beneath his boxy exterior, there’s an active intelligence about melody and texture,” while NPR captured, “the thing that really makes much of Gilbert's music, feel as pugnacious as it does is the way that he sings... channeling stubborn small town resilience through his clenched drawl, airing aggression through his strenuous, sandpapered rasp and hinting at pent-up ferocity with surly, monosyllabic spoken asides. His performances are instantly recognizable, often confrontational and pack a punch.”

That punch will be driving a piece on 23-year old Chase Elliott. As Philip Metz, Managing Director, Entertainment Marketing & Music
of NASCAR, says of the pairing, “This piece featuring Brantley Gilbert’s “Not Like Us” and NASCAR is part of our yearlong marketing campaign that tells the story of the NASCAR season through the lens of the drivers.  We’re focusing on showcasing our brightest stars, the best tracks and putting it all to great music, giving fans more of what they want.  This particular piece is focused on Chase Elliott and Talladega, as there’s no one better to explain to fans what they should expect to see at that track.”

After debuting Saturday, April 13 at 7:30 PM/ET as part of the “Monster Energy Cup Series Toyota Owners 400,” the piece focusing on the Dawsonville, Georgia-born driver will run through the big race at Talladega, broadcast April 28 at 2 PM on Fox. The clip will also run on all NASCAR digital and social platforms.

As Gilbert finalizes work on his upcoming project, “What Happens In A Small Town,” his wrenching duet with guitar sensation Lindsay Ell, lands at #25 with a bullet on MediaBase and leaps three spots to #23 with a bullet on Billboard. Both are produced by Dann Huff (Keith Urban, Megadeth, Midland, Kane Brown) and are available everywhere.
