Cracker Barrel Marketing Manager Julie Craig shares, “Josh’s music genuinely resonates with many of our guests, and we are thrilled to join forces with him on a second Cracker Barrel album.  Because the songs were recorded during actual performances, there’s a feeling of being in the audience and getting caught up in the energy and excitement of a live show.”

About Josh Turner
One of country music’s most recognizable hit-makers earning numerous CMA, ACM and GRAMMY nominations since the release of his debut album, Long Black Train, Josh Turner has sold more than five million albums and garnered four No. 1 hits (including three multi-week chart-toppers): "Your Man," "Would You Go With Me," and "Why Don't We Just Dance" (a four-week No. 1 that was named the most-played song of the year in 2010 by MediaBase). His song, "All Over Me," from Haywire also reached the top spot on the charts, making him one of only seven country artists to have two No. 1 hits in 2010.  A Hannah, S.C. native, Turner has been songwriting and performing since he was a young child, and in support of music education, created The Josh Turner Scholarship Fund to assist students interested in pursuing a future in arts/music. As a high school student, he had very little access to music education, therefore realizes first-hand the importance of arts in the schools. Celebrating the release of one of his fastest-rising singles to-date, "Time Is Love," Turner recently celebrated the release of his fifth studio album, Punching Bag on Tuesday, June 12 which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart.  The Associated Press says, “With Punching Bag, Turner once again proves he ranks among the most effective -- and most hard-core country -- performers of his generation.” For more information on Josh Turner including a list of his upcoming headlining tour dates, visit www.JoshTurner.com

DANKO JONES: New Album ‘Rock and Roll is Black and Blue’ to be Released in North America on October 9, 2012

Description: DankoJones_PhotoCredit_CalleStoltz_02

DANKO JONES is extremely excited to announce that they will be releasing their new album Rock And Roll is Black and Blue on October 9, 2012.

Over the course of six full-length albums, DANKO JONES has forged a singular sound that draws equally from the blues, ‘60s garage, ‘70s hard rock, ‘80s hardcore, punky power-pop, Scandinavian metal, and classic stand-up comedy records without ever being fully defined by any of those sources. But while built from the same rudiments, each DANKO JONES record possesses a distinct sonic identity. Born A Lion (2002) brought the boogie and sledgehammer soul; We Sweat Blood (2003) was, by contrast, more anxious and aggro. Sleep Is the Enemy (2006) wielded the sharpest hooks. Never Too Loud (2008) was as slick as Below the Belt (2010) was stripped-down. But, compared to all that’s come before, Rock And Roll Is Black And Blue is, hands down, the most emotional and, as a result, the most epic DANKO JONES album to date.

Now, don’t be scared off by those E-words - there’s not a children’s choir, orchestra or piano ballad to be found within a 500-mile radius of this album. But what you hear on Rock and Roll is Black and Blue is the DANKO JONES ideal blown up to skyscraping proportions, resulting in 13 tracks that are bolder, brasher, and brawnier than anything they’ve attempted before.

The album is produced in full by their longtime partner in crime Matt DeMatteo and was mixed by Mike Fraser, known for his work with AC/DC, Aerosmith, Franz Ferdinand and Elvis Costello to name a few. It is also the first album recorded with “new” drummer Atom Willard - the sixth person in DANKO JONES history to hold the “drummer” title, but the first to stand on equal creative footing with Danko and his longtime foil, bassist John “JC” Calabrese. The man’s résumé speaks for itself: Not only was Willard the driving percussive force behind Danko’s all-time favorite San Diegan garage-punk armada Rocket From the Crypt, he’s also been keeping time for the multi-platinum likes of the Offspring, Social Distortion and Angels & Airwaves, so he knows how to drum his way around a massive tune.

The first single – “Just A Beautiful Day” – will be serviced to radio all over the world shortly.
The new album follows the June release of Bring On The Mountain – a two disc DVD featuring a 90 minute documentary, a short film, exclusive live clips from around the world and all the music videos they have ever done.

A lengthy European tour scheduled for October / November was announced during spring and with ticket sales already looking great we expect most shows to be sold out well before the doors open. Tour dates in Canada, US and Australia will be announced soon with more European touring and a busy festival summer in 2013 also on the horizon. European tour dates can be found here:

In the nooks and crannies of their disparate lives, five boys from Texas found each other. Accident, inevitability, chance, fate no one will ever be able to explain whatever it is that draws the colors of a rainbow together into one stream of pure white light. Green River Ordinance was born from this light. Brothers Geoff and Jamey Ice, Josh Jenkins, Joshua Wilkerson and Denton Hunker joined their lives together into one singular dream. The dream of creating music. While most kids their age were worrying about entering high school, they were writing and performing their own music. They recorded their first EP in the basement of their church, a CD that sold out its first pressing in just a few months. They’ve packed houses across the Country, and have toured with the likes of Bon Jovi, Collective Soul, Blue October, Hanson, Sister Hazel, Bowling for Soup, Simple Plan and many other bands already established in the music world.

Ashton, who grew up in Silicon Valley, has cited bands from rock group Metallica to early electronic dance music artist Orbital as influencers of his constantly changing style of music, prompting Rolling Stone to describe him as “Death Metal Kid to Superstar DJ.” He has collaborated with the popular hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco and remixed chart topping songs such as Ellie Goulding’s “Lights” while still maintaining his two foot long hair and “metalhead” look.

Bassnectar was the third highest-selling dance music DJ in solo concert ticket sales last year behind Tiesto and Deadmau5.  After selling out venues and headlining festivals such as Lollapalooza, Ultra and Coachella, Bassnectar created his own festival in 2011 in New York City which brought 10,000 fans to Govenor’s Island last fall.

Bassnectar brings his tour to St. Louis in support of his latest album, Vava Voom which was released in April 2012. Vava Voom peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums and was Bassnectar’s third album to reach the No. 2 spot following Divergent Spectrum in 2011.

Known for his elaborate light shows, Bassnectar strives to put on a show for all of the viewer’s senses. The shows are a celebration of music and community. Lamb of God show cancelled

LAMB OF GOD/ DETHKLOK TOUR CANCELED

Due to the continued incarceration of LAMB OF GOD singer Randy Blythe in the Czech Republic, the band’s co-headline tour with Dethklok scheduled to begin August 1st in Seattle is being cancelled.  The band regrets the decision but the uncertainty of Randy’s release makes it impossible to carry on with the tour.  Upon Randy’s release, it is the band’s intention to rebook a tour in the fall and at this time the band fully intends to participate in the Mayhem Cruise in December.

LAMB OF GOD wishes to thank Dethklok, Adult Swim and Gojira for their support and patience as well as all of the promoters who had dates on the tour.  Last but certainly not least, the band thanks all of the fans who bought tickets for the tour and who have been supportive of Randy and the band over the last month that Randy has been held in Prague.  Without the fans, there is no LAMB OF GOD.

This includes the show set for the Family Arena Aug. 15.
Face value refunds are available at the point of purchase. If you purchased tickets through MetroTix by phone or internet, your tickets will automatically be returned to the credit card used to purchase them.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

NO BRAGGING RIGHTS SIGNS WITH EONE/GOODFIGHT  MUSIC
NEW RECORD DUE OUT LATER THIS YEAR
(NEW YORK, NY) - Riverside, California's finest, NO BRAGGING RIGHTS, have signed a worldwide record deal with eOne Music. "The guys and I are beyond stoked to be a part of the GoodFight/eOne family. We feel this will be a good fit for us as we grow and continue moving forward," says frontman Mike Perez.
NO BRAGGING RIGHTS, also widely known as “NBR,” began to take its present shape in the summer of 2005. Leading up to that point, the band had been veterans of the southern California pop punk scene before they began work on their first self released full length album, "Because You Believe in Something Beyond Them."
NBR was at a crossroads. Member changes and new ideas took them in a heavier, more hardcore oriented direction. The early 2006 release was well received in the local scene and helped establish the band outside of their home town.
NBR went on to release three more records over the next five years. Most notably "Illuminator," recorded at Lambesis Studios featuring the hit single "Blind Faith."
Beyond excited with the last album, the band returned to Lambesis Studios to record their new record which according to the band, is their most forward thinking material to date. Mixed by  Kelly "The Carnage" Cairns at One Light Media in Las Vegas, fans can expect the new record to be released later this year.
NO BRAGGING RIGHTS is: Mike Perez (vocals), Christian Lee (guitars), Daniel Garrow (guitars), Martin Alcedo (drums) and Ryan Warrell (bass).

(Nashville, TN)   July 23, 2012 – When local firefighters saved Troy native Curtiss Shaver’s life during a tragic farming accident, Shaver knew he’d found his calling. Though the accident claimed the lower part of his left leg, Shaver persevered and began a lifelong career as a firefighter and certified EMT with the goal of giving back to his community. At Troy Fire Station No. 1 on Wednesday (7/18), Country star Justin Moore performed a special acoustic set to surprise Shaver in celebration of the local firefighter winning of Crown Royal’s “Your Hero’s Name Here” program.

The national contest renames the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) on July 29 after a deserving American hero. Five heroes were chosen as finalists and adult fans visited the Crown Royal Facebook page to cast their votes for the person they felt was most deserving of the honor. In an effort to bring a little piece of the famed track (more commonly known as The Brickyard) to Troy, AL, Crown Royal orchestrated an exclusive ceremony with BigMachineRecords.com to lay a replica “Yard of Bricks” in Troy’s downtown area. Shaver personally laid the final engraved brick bearing the race logo to culminate the ceremony.

“I’m a huge NASCAR fan, so having my name as a race title is absolutely unbelievable” said Shaver.  “I’m honored that I was nominated for this incredible contest and humbled that so many people voted for my story. I’m looking forward to representing emergency personnel everywhere who risk their lives for others on a daily basis.”

Nearly 200 Troy residents, including Mayor Jimmy C. Lunsford and Shaver’s friends, family and fellow firefighters attended the bricklaying ceremony, honoring their local hero. In addition, representatives from Crown Royal, Big Machine Label Group and IMS spoke during the ceremony. Moore performed his current single “Til My Last Day,” which is currently rising up the Country charts and his very first #1 hit “Small Town USA.”

“It was an honor to come to Alabama on this special day to pay homage to Curtiss. He truly embodies the all-American hero and I am glad I got to be a part of this historical celebration. We will have a great time in Indy for the Curtiss Shaver 400," said Moore.

As part of the grand-prize package, Shaver will ride in the pre-race pace car, deliver the trophy bearing his name to the race winner in Victory Lane, and kiss the bricks following the race. Through a partnership with IMS, country music artists from Big Machine Label Group including The Band Perry, The Mavericks, Justin Moore, Sunny Sweeney and Greg Bates will play special concerts at the track to honor Shaver throughout the race weekend. Throughout the celebrations, Crown Royal would like to remind everyone to please drink responsibly.

THE SCRIPT RELEASE ALBUM #3, OUT OCTOBER 9th

First Single "Hall Of Fame" Featuring will.i.am

Band Returns to the US with Headlining Tour Kicking off October 9th at
Radio City Music Hall

(New York, NY) – The Script--Dublin, Ireland’s chart-topping hit-makers, step up to the podium with their Olympic sized new single, “Hall Of Fame,” featuring global superstar will.i.am, off of their forthcoming release, #3, out October 9th.  Penned by the band (Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power), inspirational new single – available August 21st – brings the band back to their piano-laden, pop melodiousness, blending a seamless duet with the hip hop lyrical flow of will.i.am. It’s clear The Script have raised the stakes with “Hall of Fame,” declaring “… and the world’s gonna know your name.”

On “Hall of Fame,” Mark Sheehan comments: "We wanted to capture as much emotion in the track’s sound as there is in the lyrics, which are definitely some of the most positive and upbeat we’ve ever written."

In December of 2011, The Script’s frontman Danny O’Donoghue joined Jessie J, Tom Jones and will.i.am as a judge on BBC’s inaugural season of The Voice UK. Working with will.i.am on “Hall Of Fame,” Danny O’Donoghue says: “We thought it might make a great duet but we wanted to do it line by line, true duet style. It took several months, a headlock and a taxi cab to get Will on the song!”

The Script will make a triumphant return to the road in North America, kicking off their headlining tour on October 9 at New York’s prestigious Radio City Music Hall. Fans can pre-order #3 beginning July 23 at www.myplaydirect.com/the-script and all who pre-order the album will receive a code for early access to tour tickets. The ticket pre-sale period runs from July 24 at 10am to July 26 at 10pm, with the public on sale going live July 27th

#3 follows up The Script’s critically acclaimed 2010 Science & Faith album, which rocketed to No. 3 on Billboard’s Top 200 and led to a string of sold out US tour dates in Fall 2011. Science and Faith debuted at #1 in Ireland and the UK. The Script  have enjoyed an epic rise to fame following the success of their 2008 self-titled debut album and their massive platinum selling single, “Breakeven.” That single rewrote history on Billboard’s Adult Pop Songs airplay radio chart, taking the #1 spot, where the song completed a record-setting 36 week rise to the summit. Impressively, the band has sold over five million singles in the US, and has played stadium shows with Paul McCartney and their mentors, U2.

HANK WILLIAMS, JR.’s “OLD SCHOOL, NEW RULES”
IS THE TOP SELLING INDEPENDENT ALBUM IN THE COUNTRY

DEBUTS AT #4 ON BILLBOARD's COUNTRY ALBUM CHART

HIGHEST PEAK POSITION IN CAREER HISTORY
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Hank Williams, Jr. has the top selling independent album in the country with his new CD, Old School, New Rules.  The new CD debuts at #4 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart and #12 on Billboard’s Top U.S. Albums chart.  This gives the country music legend the highest peak position of his career on the overall chart, surpassing his previous high of #16 achieved by 1964’s “Your Cheatin’ Heart” and the 2006 compilation, “That’s How They Do It In Dixie: The Essential Collection.”
“Old School, New Rules” is the first album on Hank Williams, Jr.’s new label imprint, Bocephus Records, licensed to Blaster Records with distribution by Warner Music Nashville.
“Bocephus delivered a musically brilliant album,” says Tom Porter, CEO of Blaster Entertainment, “Our team worked really hard to build awareness and the audience responded. All the pieces came together for us and we couldn’t be more pleased to celebrate this with Hank.”
“I’ve got some of the best, most loyal fans out there,” say Hank Williams, Jr. “This album was for them; it was their voices that encouraged the writing process for me.”

About Hank Williams, Jr.:
With more than 70 albums to his credit, sales of 55 million records, countless awards including 5-time Entertainer of the Year awards (ACM & CMA), BMI Icon Award, a Grammy, and most recently in 2009 the Academy of Country Music “Pioneer Award,” Williams is a living legend. His discography chronicles a bold profile of growth from adored offspring of a legendary father, to titan of the modern country rock movement in his own right. For two decades, America came to its collective feet each fall Monday night when this larger than life superman of a musician looked into the camera and unleashed the national anthem for viewers of Monday Night Football – ‘Are You Ready for Some Football?’ Those simple words have won Williams an entirely new generation of fans and given him the distinction of being the first country performer to ever win an Emmy.
