NASHVILLE, TN — Aug. 20, 2013 — “The Voice” winner and chart-topping singer Cassadee Pope will perform on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” results show, Wednesday, Aug. 28 (9-10 pm ET).  Global superstars One Direction will also perform “Best Song Ever,” the song from their highly anticipated new movie "One Direction: This is Us" in the live telecast.

Pope’s soaring vocals and edgy performances stole the national spotlight when she won season three of NBC’s “The Voice” and dominated the top spot on the iTunes All-Genre chart with three of her performances.  Since then, the petite powerhouse has ascended to the #1 spot on the iTunes Country Singles Chart with “Wasting All These Tears,” the first single from her debut album “Frame By Frame,” releasing Oct. 8 on Republic Nashville.  Pope will also share an inside look at life since “The Voice” in a yet-to-be-titled docu-series, premiering on CMT Oct. 4 (9 pm ET).  CMT will also feature Pope as one of their Next Women of Country and she graces NASHVILLE LIFESTYLES’ August “Hot List” cover.  Currently, Pope is opening for Rascal Flatts’ Live & Loud tour.

On “Best Song Ever,” Niall, Louis, Harry, Liam and Zayn deliver yet another memorable modern-pop classic.  The music video delivered a record breaking 12.3 million views across VEVO in the 24 hours following its premiere.  With two albums to date - “Up All Night” and “Take Me Home” - One Direction have sold over 30 million records worldwide. Their third album is due out later this year.  They’ve won two BRIT awards, three MTV Video Music awards and three Billboard Music awards.  “One Direction: This Is Us,” directed by Morgan Spurlock and released in theaters on Aug. 30, is a captivating and intimate all-access look at life on the road for the global music phenomenon and their meteoric rise to fame.

“America's Got Talent” kicks off the first semi-final performance show on Tuesday, Aug. 27 (9-11 p.m.) where twelve of the top 24 acts will perform for America’s vote.  Six of those acts will move on to the Top 12.

Now in its eighth season, “America’s Got Talent” stars celebrity judges Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howard Stern. With the talent search open to acts of all ages, “America’s Got Talent” has brought the variety format back to the forefront of American culture by showcasing performers from across the country.

“America’s Got Talent” is produced by Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and FremantleMedia North America. Simon Cowell, Jason Raff, Sam Donnelly, Trish Kinane and Rob Wade are the executive producers.

POP EVIL DEBUTS NEW SINGLE / MUSIC VIDEO
"DEAL WITH THE DEVIL" AVAILABLE NOW!
On Tour With Papa Roach Soon!

POP EVIL have debuted a brand new single by way of music video today for their next hit single, "Deal With The Devil." The premiere is coming exclusively by Clear Channel's iHeart Radio platform, among the first of its kind for a rock single. Lead singer Leigh Kakaty comments:
"It's exciting to finally get the opportunity to release a song with a music video. We worked really hard to come up with a visual that captures the energy of the song as well as taking the imagery to a new high."
Directed by Johan Carlén, the video for "Deal With The Devil" is the second installment of a three part series working in reverse, we saw the conclusion of the trilogy with the band's video for "Trenches."
POP EVIL released "Onyx," their third studio LP earlier this year to much success, most notably being the highest selling record the band has put out in its first week of release. It didn't take long for their first single, "Trenches" to climb all the way to #1 on the Active Rock and Mainstream Rock Charts and stay there for three consecutive weeks.
With over 250 shows played in 2012, POP EVIL is showing no signs of slowing down in 2013. Dates with Godsmack, Three Days Grace and Sevendust have come and gone just as the band gets ready for a batch of dates with Papa Roach.

POP EVIL IS: Leigh Kakaty (Lead Vocals)
, Nick Fuelling (Lead Guitar),

BIO:
Afraid of destruction? Doom got ya down? Flirting with disaster on the dark side of town? Truth & Salvage Co. is just the band to keep the bad times from getting you down. Something resilient and genuinely hopeful reaches out from this West Coast-dappled, Southern-tinged outfit. They are steadfast purveyors of a silver lining for gray-cloud days whose music is a beautiful rag ‘n’ bone buffet of unshakeable rock, classic country strains, unfiltered blues, and folk’s bonhomie, accented with winningly human harmonies – i.e. great American music in the heartiest melting pot tradition of the Byrds and the Band, substantive fare with radio-ready pop instincts that coalesces into some of the most readily enjoyable, soul-nourishing music being made today.

Legacy Recordings Celebrates One of America's Most Influential Composers and Recording Artists with Release of Paul Simon - The Complete Albums Collection

Five Decades of Culture-Changing Popular Music Showcased on Monumental 15-Disc Career-Spanning Library Collection

Available as Physical and Digital Releases Tuesday, October 15

Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, celebrates American artist Paul Simon, whose birthday is October 13, with the release of the monumental career-spanning 15-disc Paul Simon - The Complete Albums Collection (http://smarturl.it/ps_complete_amzn) available as a physical and digital release on Tuesday, October 15.

Paul Simon - The Complete Albums Collection brings together, in a deluxe library box with magnetic closure, the 12 studio albums and two full-length live concert recordings which comprise the official canon of an extraordinary writer and tunesmith whose voice and music inform six decades of popular culture.
Included on Paul Simon - The Complete Albums Collection are the artist's seminal and groundbreaking solo recordings from the 1960s (The Paul Simon Songbook), the 1970s (Paul Simon, There Goes Rhymin' Simon, Paul Simon in Concert: Live Rhymin', Still Crazy After All These Years), the 1980s (One-Trick Pony, Hearts and Bones, Graceland), the 1990s (The Rhythm of the Saints, Paul Simon's Concert In The Park - August 15, 1991, Songs from The Capeman), the 2000s (You're The One, Surprise) and the 2010s(So Beautiful or So What).
Each of the titles in Paul Simon - The Complete Albums Collection includes the original album in entirety, plus reissue bonus material not appearing on the original 12" vinyl releases (37 bonus tracks in all).  The 15-disc collection includes a 56-page book of photos with new liner notes penned by American music historian Ashley Kahn.
The deluxe complete set includes The Paul Simon Songbook, an acoustic album--recorded in London in the summer of 1965--showcasing solo versions of many songs that would become central to the Simon & Garfunkel repertoire.
During the period covered (1965-2011) in Paul Simon - The Complete Albums Collection , Paul Simon continually expanded his musical vocabulary, each new album taking the artist beyond six-string acoustic accompaniment into whole new worlds of sound, while remaining consistent and true to the crafts of writing and recording. In the 1970s, he explored reggae, progressive jazz and Latin music.  By the 1980s and 1990s, Simon was creating new music steeped in Louisiana zydeco and South African jive, Brazilian street samba and Puerto Rican salsa.  On 2011's So Beautiful or So What, he channeled Indian ragas, Delta blues, and West African kora music, even sampling Reverend J.M. Gates' 1941 recording for "Getting Ready for Christmas Day."

Toni Braxton and Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds Duets Album, LOVE, MARRIAGE & DIVORCE Set For December 3rd Release On Motown Records!

"Hurt You," Produced By Babyface And Co-written With Toni, Their First Duet Single, Hits Radio & iTunes!

With an all-time total of 16 Grammy Awards® between them, multi-platinum superstars Toni Braxton and Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds have finally teamed up for their first album of duets together, LOVE, MARRIAGE & DIVORCE , arriving in stores December 3rd on Motown Records.  The album celebrates the strong bond that has been in place between the two artists ever since Babyface and Toni's duet on her smash 1992 debut, "Give U My Heart," which was co-written and co-produced by Babyface (from the Boomerang movie soundtrack).

The first single from Toni and Babyface, "Hurt You," blasts out to radio and is available at iTunes now! (http://smarturl.it/ihurtyou) "Hurt You" was co-written by the duo (with Daryl Simmons and Antonio Dixon), and produced by Babyface, who also handled all guitar, drums, and keyboard programming on the track. "Hurt You" was recorded and mixed by Paul Boutin at Brandon's Way Recording in Los Angeles.
For Babyface, LOVE, MARRIAGE & DIVORCE will be his first new studio album in six years, since Playlist (released 2007), Top 10 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart on the strength of his Top 10 AC version of James Taylor's "Fire & Rain."  For Toni, LOVE, MARRIAGE & DIVORCE will be her first new studio album in three years, since Pulse (2010), the #1 R&B album containing the hit single "Yesterday" featuring Trey Songz.
Both Toni Braxton and Babyface are active touring artists. Toni is currently in the middle of an extensive East Coast tour, with upcoming shows remaining in Baltimore (8/21), Lincoln, RI (8/23), Atlantic City (8/24), Westbury, NY (8/25), St. Petersburg, FL (8/28), Miami (8/29), and Atlanta (8/31).  Babyface has upcoming shows slated for Dallas (on 8/31) and Henderson, NV (10/11).
About Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds:
10-time Grammy Award®-winning recording artist Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds, singer, songwriter, producer, philanthropist, and record label owner, has been revolutionizing the contemporary pop/Urban music landscape ever since scoring consecutive multi-platinum landmark albums with Tender Lover (1989, with R&B smashes "It's No Crime," "Tender Love," "Whip Appeal," "My Kinda Girl"); For the Cool In You (1993, with hit singles "For the Cool In You," "Never Keeping Secrets," "And Our Feelings," "When Can I See You"); and The Day (1996, with "This Is For the Lover In You" and "Every Time I Close My Eyes").  As co-founder with L.A. Reid of Atlanta's LaFace Records in 1989, Edmonds nurtured the careers of megastars TLC, OutKast, Goodie Mob, Usher, and (starting in 1993) Toni Braxton.  Into the '90s and '00s, Edmonds lent his talents to an abundance of hits with artists ranging from Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and Boyz II Men, to Mariah Carey, Madonna, Eric Clapton, Mary J. Blige, John Mellencamp, Aretha Franklin, Fall Out Boy, P!nk, Beyonce, Anthony Hamilton, and many others.  Under Edmonds' belt are more than 125 Top 10 R&B and pop hits, 42 R&B #1 hits, and 51 Top 10 Pop hits (including 16 #1's), which have generated cumulative single and album sales of more than 500 million units worldwide.  Most recent production work with other artists includes Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Keri Hilson, Ledisi and Ariana Grande.  At the same time, Babyface is an active touring artist, performing concerts across the U.S. and around the world on a regular basis.
Edmonds is the recipient of numerous awards, including Soul Train Music Awards, BMI Awards, NAACP Image Awards, and American Music Awards.  He received the third BET Walk of Fame Award (following previous honorees Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston), and was named BET's Entertainer Of The Year at the First Annual BET Awards Ceremony. His charitable work has garnered him the Essence Award For Excellence, The City of Hope Award, and Variety magazine's "Top of the Town" Honoree Award.  He has donated over $100,000 to the VH-1 Save the Music program, and contributes to a host of worthwhile organizations, including the United Negro College Fund (UNCF).  In 2008, Edmonds and longtime partner L.A. Reid co-wrote and co-produced Stand Up To Cancer's "Just Stand Up" with heavyweights Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Leona Lewis, Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus, and Sheryl Crow.  The song served as the backbone of a multi-network breast cancer awareness special broadcast.  Edmonds and Reid were subsequently honored by the Noble Awards for their contribution to Stand Up To Cancer.

About Toni Braxton:
The distinctive, sultry vocals of six-time Grammy Award®-winning recording artist Toni Braxton, singer, songwriter, record producer, and philanthropist, have been celebrated internationally ever since she was first introduced to the world by Babyface and L.A. Reid in 1992.  Her self-titled debut album released the next year was a 10 million-selling phenomenon that generated Toni's first Grammys® in 1994, for Best New Artist and Best Female R&B Vocal ("Another Sad Love Song").  The album's longevity led Toni to win her second Best Female R&B Vocal Grammy® the following year (for "Breathe Again").  Her second album, Secrets finally arrived in '96, and history repeated itself with 15 million worldwide sales.  At the Grammy Awards® in 1997, Toni became only the second woman in history (beside Dionne Warwick) to win Best Female Pop Vocal ("Un-break My Heart") and Best Female R&B Vocal ("You're Makin' Me High") in the same year.  She returned to the Grammy® podium in 2001, to claim another Best Female R&B Vocal award ("He Wasn't Man Enough," from the double-platinum album The Heat).
Into the millennium, Toni blossomed into an acting career with Broadway musical roles in Beauty and the Beast and Aida, and a dramatic turn in the Lifetime movie Twist of Faith.  She and her sisters currently enjoy huge success in Braxton Family Values, one of WE tv's flagship reality series, which returns for a fourth season in November 2013.  Raising her two sons Denim and Diezel, Toni balances her career demands with the high priorities of family, heath, public service, and charity work, particularly with the two diseases that have impacted her family directly: She is living with Lupus and her youngest child is living with Autism.  Early detection and intervention has helped both Braxtons to be role models on how to live normal lives with these conditions.  Toni is also a proud spokesperson for Autism Speaks.

Cassadee Pope reaches fans and takes them on her ride
by Scott Kiefer
New country music singer Cassadee Pope has come across as a force to be reckoned with in the modern age of country music, utilizing social media in addition to her vast popularity from her reign as the winner of season three of The Voice.
"It's a modern way of embarking on a career," Pope said in an interview. "I think a lot of it has to do with The Voice, but we are aggressively working all the avenues we can, which is what you have to do in today's world."
Her current single, "Wasted All These Tears," has been an I-tunes sensation, and is garnering a quick return in radio airplay on stations across the nation.
"It's a song about going through a tough situation, and coming out of it to be a better person, moving on with life," Pope said. "I cant think of a better song to release as my first single."
Before her appearances on The Voice, Pope was busy playing the rock and roll circuit, but realized that country music is what she really wanted to do.
"I grew up singing country music, and did the rock thing too," Pope said, "so its a great time for me in country music, because i am molding the two together to come up with music that I think the fans, especially in country music will enjoy, but also in all genres."
The atmosphere of the Nashville community also pleases her, because she feels a part of a family.
"It's a great surrounding because there's such a sense of community," Pope said. "I'm surrounded by a great group of people, not to say there isnt in other formats, but i think its the sense of community in country music that you just don't find anywhere else."
She is also a fan of some of today's brightest country stars
"Right now, I just love Jason Aldean, because he has that 'edge' that seems to come naturally for him," Pope said. "I also like Brantley Gilbert, and the Eli Young Band. And, of course, there's The Band Perry and Rascal Flatts."
Pope is slated on the opening slot of the Rascal Flatts Live & Loud Tour all the way through october, opening for her label mates.
"Now how cool is that," Pope pondered. "Seriously,  it's a great experience, and I get to learn a lot from just standing on the side watching them perform. It's like we are a big family out there on the road together."

Although three of her performances on the NBC hit show catapulted to Number 1 on the iTunes All-Genre Chart while on Team Blake (Shelton), Pope hasn't rested on her early achievements, and has made a concious effort to involve her fans in just about every aspect of her career.
Realizing the importance of fans to a music career, especially in country music, Pope decided to allow her fans to choose her album cover art for her debut album, Frame By Frame, which is slated for release on October 8.

Cassadee utilized social video site Vine over the weekend to unveil the title of her forthcoming album. In a mere 72 hours, thousands of loyal fans took to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to select their favorite artwork, instantly becoming “the voice” in their own right.

“My fans are the ones who gave me this incredible opportunity to create Country music and I want to ensure they are a part of the process as much as possible” said Cassadee. “I’ve received great feedback on my new music while visiting Country radio stations each week and while out on the Rascal Flatts tour, so I also wanted to make sure the fans had input on the artwork for the new album.”

The talented singer/songwriter is dedicated to giving her fans personal experiences, including an inside look at recording with esteemed producers Dann Huff, Nathan Chapman and Max Martin in a CMT DOCU-SERIES, premiering this fall.

With unique vocals, soaring melodies and edgy lyrics, the lead single “Wasting All These Tears” has already sold over 200,000 downloads and soared to the #1 spot on the iTunes Top Country Songs chart.

The Florida native recently performed the single during her debut at the hallowed Grand Ole Opry and is currently on the road with Superstar group Rascal Flatts’ LIVE & LOUD Tour. Cassadee also graces NASHVILLE LIFESTYLES magazine’s “HOT LIST” cover (on stands now) and is featured as one of CMT’s Next Women Of Country.

"I'm just out here trying to make a living doing what I love to do," Pope said. "All I can do is say 'thank you' to the fans who supported me on The Voice, and have continued to support me since. So far, it's been a wonderful ride."
