Rare Remixes from Back To Black tracks also available now

Amy Winehouse's career, though meteoric, was unfortunately cut short by tragedy, but the multi-GRAMMY® Award winner's musical legacy can now be appreciated anew with Island Records/Universal Music Enterprises' digital re-mastering of her first two albums. The sultry jazz-and-soul-tinged 2003 debut Frank, a testament to her love of singers like Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington and Nina Simone, led to her commercial breakthrough, Back To Black, issued in 2006, which earned her a Best new Artist award at the Grammys the following years, as well as Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, and the ultimate prizes, Record and Song of the Year for "Rehab." With five GRAMMY® Awards, she was the first British female performer ever to win that many. Both Frank and Back To Black have been re-released in digital form to online retail partners June 30 on the heels of the critically acclaimed documentary Amy.

Additionally, rare remixes issued for singles from the Back To Black album – "Back To Black," "Rehab," "You Know I'm No Good" and "Tears Dry On Their Own" – released July 17 as digital e-singles; many of the remixes have been unavailable for several years.
Born in North London, Winehouse's vocal abilities were apparent from an early age, and she began writing after picking up a guitar at 14. After writing for the World Entertainment News Network as a music journalist and singing for a local group, Amy was the featured vocalist with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra when she was 16 in 2000. By 2003, she was signed to Simon Fuller's 19 Management, which developed her while she sang jazz standards at clubs in and around London.
Frank: Winehouse's debut album, released October 20, 2003, was named after her father Mitch's favorite singer – Sinatra, the Chairman of the Board – as well as the honest nature of the lyrics. Produced mainly by Salaam Remi, Frank featured songs co-written by Amy as well as three covers, one of them a "hidden" track, "Mr. Magic (Through The Smoke)," a masterful reinterpretation of the Grover Washington Jr. hit "Mister Magic." Amy's composition "Stronger Than Me" received the U.K.'s prestigious Ivor Novello Prize for Best Contemporary Song, while the album earned her two BRIT Awards nominations and was short-listed for the Mercury Prize; it went on to sell more than one million albums in the U.K. The Washington Post noted, "Her attitude and command were already there… and then some."

A "21st century soul classic" (The Guardian), the album topped the U.K. chart, selling more than 3.6 million in the U.K., where it is the second best-selling album since 2000 after Adele's 21. In the U.S. Back to Black peaked at No. 2 on both the Billboard 200 and Top Alternative Albums chart, and sold three million copies; it has been certified multi-platinum in 16 countries worldwide. Co-produced by Remi and Mark Ronson, the album was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize while Amy picked up a Brit Award for Best British Female Artist and Ronson won a GRAMMY® for Producer of the Year. Of its five singles, "Rehab" and "Love Is A Losing Game" earned Amy her second and third Ivor Novello Awards. The U.S. will see a digital release of the U.K. version of the album for the first time, which adds the track "Addicted," which had been previously unavailable in the States. KID ROCK SHOW IS POSTPONED FOR TONIGHT--RESCHEDULED FOR SEPT 11
A message from Kid Rock:

Sorry St Louis and Chicago -  Grandpa strained his.....VOCAL CHORDS!!    Sitting here typing this beyond pissed off and disappointed. I have NEVER had to cancel shows. This absolutely sucks. I know people have made plans, took time off, got babysitters, took road trips and planned events around these shows. My voice is simply gone right now. I should not have pushed myself to get through the Dallas show because all I did was more damage - But there was no way I could stand on stage, feeling great - just not having a voice - and tell 20,000 people the show was not gonna happen. We made some last minute adjustments, my band stepped up and we got through it, but I am paying the price now. The steroids are gonna take a few days to really work and the only real cure for a strained voice is rest. I am not one to apologize too often, but this is one time that is beyond deserving of one - So to the people who were planning to attend the shows in St. Louis and Chicago, I am sorry I can not entertain you this weekend to my full potential. We WILL reschedule these shows and I promise if you can make it back, I will go above and beyond to make it EXTRA special. Sincerely Sorry - Kid Rock.
PS - St Louis, you were the fastest show to sell out on this tour and I want to thank you for that! Chicago, you have been one of my earliest supporters outside of Detroit and biggest markets since day one, and I will never forget that. I hope everyone who was planning to go still has a great weekend and can make the best of a fucked up situation. Rock on St Louis , Rock on Chicago….Cleveland, I am planning on my voice being in tip top shape by Thursday, so I will see you fuckers then!

“Although there’s plenty of LAMB OF GOD’s trademark guitar chug and Olympics-level drumming, the eerier moments (see the jailhouse tale “512”) and unexpected guests (including members of Deftones and the Dillinger Escape Plan) show a group that’s thirsty to evolve beyond its own established patterns.” – Kory Grow, Rolling Stone

“"VII: Sturm und Drang", for all of its polish and bows to melody, is one of the fiercest albums they've ever laid down… This album is a full-on purge and if you can relate, "VII: Sturm und Drang" will get you off in more ways than one.” – Ray Van Horn Jr., Blabbermouth.net

LAMB OF GOD's return with VII: Sturm und Drang [Epic Records] is a flawless fire and brimstone blast. This is heavy music forged in flames of raw emotion and experience in the most unbridled manner. The group… carve out a rapturously heavy and unsettlingly hypnotic space that's easy to fall into. This is the band's most simultaneously atomic and atmospheric body of work to date.” – Rick Florino, ArtistDirect.com

“From the brooding dynamics of Overlord and Embers to the more expected savagery of Erase This and Delusion Pandemic, LAMB OF GOD sound more focused than ever here, and thoroughly deserving of their status as one of metal’s biggest bands.” – Dom Lawson, The Guardian

“The band's newest work finds them continuing to find the fine balance between sinister thrash and metallic catchiness on standout tracks like "Overlord" and "Erase This”.” – Jason Roche, OC Weekly

“…another solid addition to the LAMB OF GOD catalogue.” - Bradley Zorgdrager, Exclaim! Magazine

Recently, LAMB OF GOD released their official music videos for “Overlord” and “512”, both directed by Jorge Torres-Torres. Watch both videos here: “512” | “Overlord”

VII: Sturm Und Drang is once again produced and mixed by Josh Wilbur with engineering by Wilbur, Nick Rowe, and Kyle McAulay, and was recorded at NRG Recording Studios in North Hollywood, CA and Suburban Soul Studios in Torrance, CA. LAMB OF GOD’s last album, the 2012 Grammy-nominated Resolution, debuted at #3 on the US Billboard Top 200, #1 on the US Top Hard Rock and Rock Album charts, #2 on the Canadian albums chart, and #3 on the Australian albums chart.

ABOUT LAMB OF GOD:
Richmond, VA natives LAMB OF GOD originally formed in 1994 as Burn The Priest while in college together at Virginia Commonwealth University, initially performing in meagre venues and hocking rough demos amongst the local scene. In 1998, the band changed their moniker to LAMB OF GOD, which would mark their impending ascension to top-tier status, as well as one of the only tangible career deviations that the band would ever undertake – having consistently released chart-topper after chart-topper while maintaining a true and constant line-up of members and increasingly growing fanbase; a rarity in modern music. The band’s first major release, 2000’s New American Gospel, was immediately touted as an instant metal classic. AllMusic stated it best, “The essential signatures of post-Pantera metal are in abundance on Lamb of God's inaugural album. New American Gospel provides a mighty oak upon which gritty American metal's faith is maintained, effectively bridging the '90s' insistence upon drill-sergeant technicality and the old school's determined focus on riff construction.”

In 2007, just a short time after putting out monumentally successful releases Ashes of the Wake (Album, 2004, #27 of 200 debut), Killadelphia (DVD, 2004, RIAA Platinum), and Sacrament (Album, 2006, #8 of 200 debut), LAMB OF GOD was honored with a Grammy nomination for the track “Redneck”. This would mark the first of four Grammy nominations for the band. After the release of Walk With Me In Hell (DVD, 2008), the second and third Grammy nominations came in 2010 and 2011 for tracks “Set to Fail” and “In Your Words”, both cut from Wrath (CD, 2009, #2 of 200 debut). The fourth nomination arrived for the band’s track “Ghost Walking”, cut from their 2012 album Resolution (CD, #3 of 200 debut). Now, on the cusp of releasing their seventh full-length album VII: Sturm Und Drang, the five-piece is poised to prove their lasting consistency by offering another blistering contribution of the highest quality heavy metal – a record that no one other than LAMB OF GOD could truly execute.

Having amassed the globe with countless world tours and millions of albums sold, all-the-while overcoming countless hurdles ranging from personal demons to vocalist Randy Blythe’s 2013 trial in Prague (which resulted in the acclaimed 2014 full-length feature documentary, As The Palaces Burn, and upcoming book, Dark Days: A Memoir, authored by the frontman and releasing in July), LAMB OF GOD stands the test of time as the biggest, most influential heavy metal band of the new millennium.

LAMB OF GOD is:
Randy Blythe - vocals
Mark Morton - guitar
Willie Adler - guitar
John Campbell - bass
Chris Adler – drums

IT’S A “BEAUTIFUL LIFE” FOR NICK
Watch Brand New Music Video Now!

NASHVILLE, TN (July 24, 2015) – American Idol Season 14 winner and Big Machine Records recording artist Nick Fradiani has released the official music video for his Adult Contemporary Top 30-and-rising debut hit single “Beautiful Life.” The anthem’s video was directed by the award-winning Shane Drake (Paramore, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson) and filmed in Nashville, TN. Watch now via: http://smarturl.it/BeautifulLifeVEVOThe anthem, written by Ryan Williamson, Ayanna Howard and Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba, is now available on iTunes

“The concept of this video felt so organic and very true to what I have experienced over the last few years,” said Nick. “It was hard to leave my friends and family when I departed Connecticut to LA for Idol, but it was all worth it in the end. Sometimes you just have to take risks and put everything on the line, which is exactly what I did when I signed up for the show.”
Winning one of television’s most popular singing competitions by no means jaded the singer/songwriter who has been playing in bands for years. “I don’t take a single moment of this life for granted,” said Nick. “'Beautiful Life' embodies that spirit and its cool to see that spirit captured on camera for the music video.”
Nick has been working non-stop since American Idol ended in May, visiting radio stations across the country and writing new songs with some of Pop music’s top songwriters. “Beautiful Life” was chosen as the theme song for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup and appeared in all of the FOX promotional spots.
In addition to working on new music, Nick is currently on the road for the AMERICAN IDOL LIVE TOUR 2015 with the other Top 5 contestants from the show. For tour dates and additional information, visit www.americanidol.com/tour

Maddie & Tae Announce Headline Tour

After Summer with Dierks Bentley, They START HERE in New York City on 10/7

Nashville, TN   Maddie & Tae, with their script-flipping “Girl In A Country Song” and empowerment ballad “Fly,” have seen their music accelerate their dreams from the beginning. After a summer on the road with Dierks Bentley, the girls with well over 28 million VEVO views, announce their START HERE Tour, kicking off October 10 at New York City’s Highline Ballroom.

Designed to focus on listening rooms and historic music clubs, the irrepressible duo will bring their high-powered acoustic songs of coming of age, life on life’s terms and taking care of one’s dreams to a dozen key markets, as well as Nacogdoches, Texas, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, before wrapping November 7 at Joe’s on Weed Street in Chicago.

“Maddie and I wanted to get out and play all the songs from this new record,” Tae says. “We’ve spent a few years writing these songs, figuring out how to say what we thought was important about being our age, and figuring out how to create our kind of music, so before we get back onto someone else’s tour, we wanted to take some time and show people all of who we are!”

“Spending the summer with Dierks Bentley was an amazing masterclass in playing,” continues Maddie. “He has such a great sense of how to connect with the audience, but he also understands how to keep music the focus… to make sure the playing and the songs don’t get lost in the fun of it. To write songs that matter is one thing, to bring people inside them is another. I can’t wait to share all the songs with the fans once START HERE comes out.”

Slated for release August 28, START HERE chronicles two young women’s take on the world, mean girls, dumb boys and coming into one’s own with the candor, heart and humor that marked their breakout “Girl In A Country Song.” Voted Single of the Year by Nashville Scene’s Country Music Critics' Poll, “Girl In A Country Song” went from demo to master to Country radio in weeks and became the first female debut act to hit #1 in eight years, as well as igniting critical acclaim from The New Yorker, Entertainment Weekly, The Atlantic Monthly, Rolling Stone, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post and NPR.

NPR’s Ann Powers was one of the first to weigh in, raving “Maddie and Tae are more. They’re songwriters, powerful harmonizers  and in the video for ‘Girl In A Country Song,’ natural comediennes.” That spirit defines their upcoming Dann Huff-produced debut – which the triple CMT Music Awards and ACM Vocal Duo Of The Year nominees paused after a whirlwind year to make sure all the songs and arrangements were just right.

“A lot of what’s happened to us is a blur,” Maddie says with a laugh. “So much, so fast, so wow. But every face we’ve seen, every smile in the crowd, every person we’ve met who tells us about one of our songs, whether it’s ‘Fly’ or ‘Shut Up and Fish,’ we remember that. With the album almost here and this tour being announced, it finally feels like we’re catching up with ourselves and our dream.”

“Looking back, maybe it was crazy for Maddie and I to pick up, leave home and chase these songs to Nashville,” Tae continues. “But the music was too strong, and our need to hear songs that talked about the things happening in lives like ours was too real… and so we didn’t have a choice. Suddenly, with everything coming together, it feels real. And this tour means we get to share it with all the people just like us.”

Coming off last weekend’s huge sellouts in Gilford, N.H., Boston, Mass., and Jones Beach, N.Y., the summer run has 15 shows left and is on track to exceed 700,000 tickets sold. Show dates and ticket information for the fall run will be announced next week. Breakout band A Thousand Horses will continue its run with Rucker and David Nail will join the tour in October.

Fans have been picking up on that vibe - from A Thousand Horses’ special blend of Southern rock and country to kick off the night to Rucker’s all-around entertainer abilities. Brett Eldredge has added a dress-up gloss to the affair this summer, something Nail also is known for.

Critics have also responded warmly to the tour. "Rucker proved to be one to defy expectations, if not challenge conventions,” the Asbury Park Press said of the concert. And The Record noted Rucker’s “once-in-a-lifetime voice — burly and richly textured — as well as a vocal delivery that’s warm and ingratiating."

Rolling Stone recently called Rucker “the chillest dude in Nashville.” The magazine is exclusively debuting Rucker’s video for “Southern Style” for 24 hours this Friday, July 17. The video, directed by Peter Zavadil and produced by Jennifer Rothlein, features Rucker appearing around his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina. The performance scenes are intercut with dramatic footage of a young woman whose “daddy raised her Southern Style” travelling the world. “If you met her, man, believe me, you’d want her to stay a while,” Rucker sings as the woman eventually makes her way back home to Charleston.

“Southern Style” is the second single from the Capitol Records Nashville album of the same name, which was Rucker’s fourth No. 1 country LP. Lead single “Homegrown Honey” recently reached No. 1 as well, giving him seven chart-topping songs.

Anyone familiar with the Pimps of Joytime live experience knows the feeling—that moment when a deep bluesy groove morphs into a full-on EDM dance beat, or the sensation when their wide-eyed audience collectively elevates in sync with the band’s tangible energy. You might accurately call this Brooklyn-bred quintet a ‘post-genre’ band; they’re a group whose sound—even within a single song—mirrors the diversity of our era’s wide musical tastes, like mashing up ‘70s funk with a house beat, or memorable hooks infused with three part vocal harmonies. It all goes into the Pimps’ pot, over a soulful roux of rhythm and groove.
