“I grew up watching the World Series,” said Lewis. “It’s a privilege and honor to be asked to be a part of such an important night.”

About Aaron Lewis:
Aaron Lewis' 2011 first solo release, Town Line, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Country Album Chart.  The first single from that release, "Country Boy," featured the late George Jones and Charlie Daniels and has been certified Gold.  It earned Lewis multiple CMA, ACM and CMT Music Award nominations, while the accompanying video has been streamed over eighteen million times to date. Lewis completed a run of dates as the headlining act on the Jägermeister Country Tour, performing a majority of the songs from The Road.  The album was released by Blaster Records via Warner Music Nashville in late 2012. As the front man for the multi-platinum selling band Staind, Lewis is the songwriter and voice behind the most-played rock song of the past decade, "It's Been Awhile," in addition to three other #1 hits and eight Top-Ten singles.

Third Annual Aaron Lewis Invitational Charity Golf Tournament and Fourth Annual Aaron Lewis & Friends Benefit Concert Raise $250,000 for It Takes a Community Foundation

Lewis and Wife Pledge Grants to Multiple Nonprofit Organizations
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 21, 2014) –  The fourth annual Aaron Lewis & Friends Benefit Concert, held on June 27, and the third annual Aaron Lewis Invitational Golf Tournament, held on August 9, raised a combined total of $250,000 for the It Takes a Community Foundation (ITAC), a charity founded by Lewis and his wife in 2010. One hundred percent of the proceeds were donated to the foundation, which helps to revive rural communities across New England by providing assistance that strengthens, enriches and preserves local towns. The Lewis’s foundation supports initiatives that improve community life — particularly the lives of children — within rural areas.

“It Takes a Community began when my wife and I joined with neighbors in our small adopted home town to keep the doors of our community school open after state funding was eliminated due to district consolation,” explains Aaron. “It started out as something very personal and close-to-home, but is morphing into something bigger. If we can make a difference in our little corner of Massachusetts, couldn't we give additional worthy organizations in our area a similar leg up?”

Helping to reopen and fund the RH Conwell School as a private community education center was the catalyst and origin of the It Takes A Community Foundation. The school has also been the primary beneficiary ITAC’s fundraising efforts since 2010. However, over the past year the residents of Worthington successfully lobbied the state for special legislation that allows the tax dollars of their town to stay in Worthington rather than be pooled into the regional school system.

Vanessa Lewis was elated to announce to the attendees of the ITAC Charity Golf tournament that, “As of September 2015, our school will once again be a public elementary school for the children of Worthington, Mass.” She went on to explain, “This milestone of self-sufficiency will allow It Takes a Community to continue its growth goals and mission by increasing the number of organizations that receive grant money from the ITAC foundation.” For example, in addition to the R.H. Conwell School, this year’s concert and tournament proceeds are being shared among Big Brothers Big Sisters of Franklin County, Greenfield Education Foundation and the YMCA of Hampshire County’s Camp Norwich Improvement Fund

“We have seen first-hand the necessity for smaller communities to have a voice and to determine their own local needs and priorities,” said Aaron. “My wife and I are extremely happy and proud that the R.H. Conwell School is reopening as a public elementary school and we're excited to expand the foundation and take on new projects.”

About It Takes A Community:
Noted musician Aaron Lewis and his wife Vanessa founded It Takes A Community Foundation (ITACF) when the State of Massachusetts eliminated funding for the R.H. Conwell School in Worthington, MA. The school had served the children of the hill towns in the area since the 1940s and was one of the only community buildings in tiny Worthington. The school closure was devastating to the entire community.

Aaron and Vanessa founded ITACF in July 2010 to save the school. The support provided through ITACF provided the bulk of the funding to reopen the public facility as a private community school open to all local students. The R.H. Conwell experience demonstrated that rural communities can help themselves if residents work together and have adequate resources. Under the leadership of Aaron and Vanessa Lewis, ITACF now provides funding and guidance to a wide array of organizations that play a vital role in improving community life — particularly the lives of children—within rural communities.

ITACF raises funds and supports organizations or efforts that:
  • Strengthen, engage and enrich rural New England communities
  • Sustain diminishing public services
  • Provide assistance to communities in crisis
We share our expertise and provide financial assistance to empower citizens and organizations to take charge of their own community’s future. ITACF works to unite resources and ideas to help people and communities create a better tomorrow.

Aaron Lewis’ The Road, Hits Stores

Nashville, Tenn. (November 13, 2012) — The highly anticipated full-length solo album, The Road, from Blaster Records’ multi-platinum selling artist Aaron Lewis hits stores today, November 13. Co-produced by Lewis and Nashville hit-maker James Stroud, The Road, follows Lewis’ debut solo EP, Town Line, which bowed at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart last year.

The Grammy Award-nominated, multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and guitarist tells one story after another on The Road. Echoing traditional country, some of those tales are hilarious and heartwarming, while others are pensive and personal. Nevertheless, they're all equally powerful, vibrant, and unforgettable.  For Lewis, The Road continues to wind and surprise like it always has.

Featuring ten songs, with all but one (“Granddaddy’s Gun”) written by the Lewis, The Road unfolds with a classic grit and an invigorating energy all directly from Lewis's heart and soul.  The new album has resonated with the Boston Herald, who went as far as proclaiming Lewis “the state’s first country king.”  The Chicago Tribune says, “The Road is one of the best and most cohesive country releases of the year," while GAC notes Aaron Lewis and The Road “creates a work that honors country tradition while injecting his own soul and experience." Country Weekly declares “The Road is just getting smoother for the country music version of Aaron,” and the popular country blog, Roughstock.com, concludes, "The Road is positive proof that Aaron Lewis has the musical goods and can most certainly deliver.”

"Forever," the current single just released to radio November 12, is a true product of the road itself. The new song captures the longing and loneliness of life on the tour bus, while reflecting the immortality of true love. It's touching and thought-provoking all at once.  A live acoustic version of "Forever" is available as part of an iTunes-exclusive deluxe version of the album along with four other live acoustic tracks.

Fans can visit AOL’s The Boot to view exclusive behind-the-scenes video with Lewis explaining much of his inspiration while writing for the new album. Visit, http://www.theboot.com/2012/11/13/aaron-lewis-the-road-video

Aaron Lewis’ New Video “Forever” To World Premiere
on CMT’s Big New Music Weekend

New Full-Length Album, The Road, In Stores Tuesday

Nashville, TN (November 8, 2012)— The new music video for “Forever,” by Blaster Records’ Aaron Lewis, is set to make its World Premiere during CMT’s "Big New Music Weekend" starting Friday, Nov 9 at 6am ET/PT and running throughout the weekend.

Lewis penned “Forever,” which addresses the toll time apart can take on a relationship, while on tour earlier this year.  The video for the song, directed by Jim Wright for Tailight TV, documents Lewis life behind the scenes while out on the road.  The video's main performance was shot in last month in Nashville, TN.  Fans can see "Forever", plus seven brand new videos from some of country’s hottest acts this weekend exclusively on CMT.

“’Forever’ is a pretty honest song about how lonely it can get out on the road,” explains Lewis. “But realizing at the end of it, it really was all just doubt and when you walk through the door and see your wife and kids, it all goes away.”

The song is the new single from his first full-length studio album, The Road, which hits stores on Tuesday, November 13.

Fans can catch Lewis out on the recently announced “The Road Tour” with Mercury Nashville’s Randy Montana as his special acoustic opener.  For up-to-date information on Aaron Lewis, visit www.aaronlewismusic.com

AARON LEWIS AND COUNTRY RADIO PLANNING TO
MAKE IT AN “ENDLESS SUMMER”

First Single From Forthcoming Album, The Road, Enters The Top 40

Nashville, Tenn. (August 28, 2012) - You can forget what your calendar says as country radio stations and music fans alike are keeping the onset of Autumn at bay with the ongoing success of “Endless Summer,” the first single from Aaron Lewis’ forthcoming album, The Road.

Country radio programmers have been steady in their praise of “Endless Summer.” “It’s been our top testing song through all of July and August,” says Bob Walker, Program Director of WCTK/Providence of the single, which has climbed to 39* on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

“I think this truly is a hit single and Aaron deserves that shot,” add KBEQ Program Director Mike Kennedy.  “He came in here, grabbed a guitar and mesmerized the crowd for 30 minutes.  You could really feel his star power in that moment!”

The song is also a reflection of where Lewis is now as a songwriter.  Known for more melancholic hits like “It’s Been a While” and “Outside,” “Endless Summer” is decidedly upbeat and infectious.  “This proves I can write a happy song,” says Lewis, with a laugh.  “It’s just the story of the weekend trips I take with my wife and my daughters to our little beach cottage.  It’s hard not to be happy when I think about that.”

The Road, co-produced by Lewis and Nashville legend James Stroud (Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, Chris Young), was originally scheduled for release in early September via Stroud’s R&J Records label but is now planned for a November 13 release on Blaster Records through Warner Music Nashville.

“I really hate that we’ve had to move the record back,” says Lewis.  “We’ve been playing these songs live on tour all summer and I know there are people who are frustrated they can’t get the album yet.  I’m frustrated, too, but there have been a bunch of positive changes in my world and in the long run, the delay is really for the best.”

The Road features ten new songs, including “Granddaddy’s Gun,” written by Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Bobby Pinson.  It marks the first time in his career that Lewis has ever recorded a song he didn’t write.  “Rhett is a friend of mine and played the song for me when we were on a hunting trip,” says Lewis.  “The lyrics really tell my story.  It’s a song that I could have written.”

"I hope people hear the record and realize it’s a total reflection of me," Lewis says of the songs on The Road.  "I'm writing songs about who I am and where I am, just like I've done my whole career.  The setting for the songs might be different but they're as honest as anything I've ever done."

The complete track listing for the album is:

1.  75
2.  The Road
3.  Endless Summer
4.  Red, White & Blue
5.  Lessons Learned
6.  Forever
7.  Grandaddy’s Gun
8.  State Lines
9.  Anywhere But Here
10.  Party In Hell

Lewis’s debut solo release, Town Line, bowed at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and #7 on the Top US Albums chart in March of 2011.  The first single from that EP, “Country Boy,” has been certified Gold and its video has received over 15,000,000 online views to date, reaching #1 on CMT.com.  The song, which features guest appearances from George Jones and Charlie Daniels, also earned Lewis nominations from the Academy Of Country Music for “Vocal Event of the Year” as well as two CMT Music Awards nominations for “Breakthrough Video of the Year” and “Collaborative Video of the Year.”

Lewis will resume his tour in support of The Road in November.  Information on ticket on-sale dates and special fan club opportunities will be available at www.aaronlewismusic.com as dates are confirmed.

BLASTER RECORDS TO RELEASE AARON LEWIS’ NEW ALBUM
“THE ROAD” ON SEPTEMBER 11TH
Lewis Takes the Music of The Road on the Road for National Concert Tour
Nashville, Tenn. (June 28, 2012) -- Blaster Records has announced that the highly anticipated new album from multi-platinum selling artist Aaron Lewis, “The Road”, will be released on September 11th and will be available for pre-sale along with exclusive merchandise beginning mid-July at www.aaronlewismusic.com.
Co-produced by Lewis and legendary Nashville hit-maker James Stroud (Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson, Chris Young), "The Road" follows Lewis' debut solo EP, "Town Line," which bowed at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart last year.   The forthcoming album contains ten brand-new songs, including first single "Endless Summer," which CMT has hailed as "the anthem of the Summer of 2012."  It also contains the Rhett Akins/Dallas Davidson/Bobby Pinson-penned "Granddaddy's Gun," marking the first time in Lewis' entire career that he has cut a song he didn't have a hand in writing.
The songs that make up "The Road" mirror the country roots of Lewis' childhood.  “This music and these songs represent who I am and where I come from,” says Lewis, who still resides in rural western Massachusetts.
Released in March of 2011, Lewis’ inaugural solo project was met with resounding acclaim from both critics and his passionate, dedicated fan base.  His debut solo single, “Country Boy,” featured contributions from country stalwarts George Jones and Charlie Daniels and achieved Gold certification.  The song and video also garnered Lewis multiple CMA, ACM and CMT Music Awards nominations.  And though he has toured extensively in a solo and acoustic fashion for the last eight years, Lewis is about to embark on his first full-band tour as a solo artist this summer.

NEW ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Aaron Lewis

By Bob Doerschuk
© 2011 CMA Close Up® News Service / Country Music Association®, Inc.

Not every newcomer can persuade Charlie Daniels, George Jones and Chris Young to join in on his debut single. Then again, Aaron Lewis isn’t your typical newcomer. He’d already built a massive following as frontman for Staind when he came down to Nashville to explore a side to his music seldom exposed on the alt-metal circuit.
Town Line, produced by Lewis and James Stroud and released on R&J Records, brings that side to life. These five songs and two bonus tracks, all written solely by Lewis, combine sensitivity and introspection, poetic soul and fierce pride in his roots. Lewis is in fact a product of rural America, raised in Vermont and exposed by his grandfather to Merle Haggard, Hank Williams (Senior and Junior), fishing, hunting and communion with nature.
This background inspired his autobiographical first single, “Country Boy.” His voice here is worn but tough; a Dobro and raw electric guitar cast haunted shadows, and his three stellar guests join the autobiographical narrative. “I grew up down an old dirt road in a town you wouldn’t know” he begins — an exquisitely crafted line, spare, evocative and defiant. That mood sustains to the end, qualifying “Country Boy” as a genuine anthem for Country and the lifestyle it represents. Fans responded too, boosting sales to near Gold status and viewing the “Country Boy” video more than 7 million times by late June.
Lewis still lives in the Northeast, and true to the spirit of writing from what one knows first-hand, he offers “Massachusetts” to celebrate his state as a patriotic icon as well as an ideal place for his family — yet he does so with a spirit that’s right at home with Music Row. It takes talent to paint pictures from disparate elements — the kind of talent heard on Town Line.
