Rock and Roll Hall of Famers ZZ Top are celebrating their 50th year with a massive North American tour this summer. Kicking off the “ZZ Five-Oh Tour”/ZZFifty/ZZ50/ZZ TOP@50/ Año ZZincuenta Gira” August 16, the real Tres Hombres will play coast to coast and border to border. Cheap Trick will also join the tour on select dates as it snakes through the country into late October. ZZ Top still maintains the most consistently stable lineup in the history of rock music: Billy F Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard. In 1969, BFG formed ZZ Top with drummer Beard and bass-guitarist Hill, both from the Dallas. Fifteen studio albums, 30 million record sales and 5 decades later, “That Little Ol’ Band From Texas” is still going strong, playing timeless hits like “La Grange,” “Legs,” “Sharp Dressed Man” and “Tush” to audiences the world over. Billy Gibbons looked back at the history of the band, while also looking forward to the 50th Anniversary tour dates. “It’s been five decades, and I think we’re starting to get pretty good at all this! The beards, Frank excepted, are perhaps a bit longer, yet nothing else has changed. We're keeping it that way.”

ZZ TOP TO EMBARK ON SEPTEMBER TOUR OF EAST COAST AND MIDWEST  WITH GOV’T MULE

ZZ Top cannot be stopped. “That Little ol’ Band from Texas” is strapping on the fuzzy guitars again this  September and taking a jaunt through select parts of the U.S. with their longtime friends Gov’t Mule.  The two road‐tested veteran rock bands will kick off their tour in Long Island at Nikon at Jones Beach  Theater, and wind their way down the east coast, playing Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina and  Virginia, before heading over to Illinois and Missouri, where the tour will conclude at the Starlight  Theatre in Kansas City.

“ZZ Top and the Mule are cut from the same dyed‐in‐the blues cloth,” says ZZ Top frontman Billy F  Gibbons who guested on Gov’t Mule’s By A Thread album  “I’ve long admired the band and Warren  Haynes’ guitar work. He has a certain grit to everything he does. We’re gonna have a fine time.”

Having formed more than four decades ago in the Houston area of Texas, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame  inductees ZZ Top continue to be a relentless touring machine. The bearded duo of singer/guitarist Billy  F Gibbons and bassist/singer Dusty Hill, and drummer Frank Beard, aka “the man with no beard” have  consistently rocked audiences with their brand of chrome‐plated, electrified dirty blues. Hot rods,  buzzards, barbeque, cacti, matching guitars and alluring women are some the many images that have  become synonymous with the ZZ Top experience but their blues/rock sonic skew has kept them in the  forefront for longer than any U.S.‐based band.  Audiences can look forward to seeing them belt out  timeless hits such as “Legs,” “La Grange,” "Sharp Dressed Man,” “Tush,” and many more from their 15  studio albums.

Formed more than 20 years ago by guitarist Warren Haynes and bassist Allen Woody, who were in The  Allman  Brothers  Band  together,  Gov’t  Mule  cross‐pollinated  Southern  rock  with  funk  and  blues,  amassing a large fan base via relentless touring. After Woody’s passing in 2000, Haynes soldiered on,  and  the  band  has  released  more  than  two  dozen  studio  and  live  albums  combined.     Perhaps  serendipitously, Gov’t Mule is releasing an archival album on August 5 that contains a cover of ZZ Top’s  “Just Got Paid.” The Tel‐Star Sessions consists of the band’s earliest demos, recorded in 1994. As  Warren Haynes recently told Consequence of Sound, “Early ZZ Top was definitely an influence on the  Mule. ‘Just Got Paid’ was one of the first covers we worked up when we only knew a handful of  songs.”
ZZ TOP/GOV’T MULE TOUR DATES:
Sep 9 ‐ Wantagh, NY ‐ Nikon at Jones Beach Theater
Sep 11‐ Bethlehem, PA ‐ Sands Bethlehem Event Center

ZZ Top and Jeff Beck partner for a co-headlining adventure beginning in Big Sky Country in early August. Markets include Los Angeles, Denver, Boston and St. Louis.

With the exception of a few one-off performances, ZZ Top and Beck have never actually toured together.  Billy Gibbons joined Beck and his band for the 25th anniversary celebration of the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame at NYC’s Madison Square Garden in 2009 where they performed Jimi Hendrix’s “Foxy Lady” and ZZ Top’s “Rough Boy.”  One year later it was Beck’s turn as a guest when the guitar maestro joined ZZ Top in Italy for a rendition of “La Grange.”
And it’s a sure bet you’ll see the two acts collaborate on the upcoming tour.  The plan calls for Beck to perform a full set followed by ZZ Top doing the same before everyone joins forces onstage to cap each evening’s performance.

Kid Rock Announces Massive "$20 Best Night Ever" U.S. Summer Tour With $20 Tickets In All Sections And Amazing Deals For Fans

3 Hometown Shows at DTE Energy Music Theatre in August Also Announced

Kool & The Gang, ZZ Top and Uncle Kracker to support on select dates

Detroi-- Kid Rock is breaking all the rules with the announcement of his U.S. Summer tour by offering tickets in all sections (reserved seats and lawn) at an affordable $20 price point, using paperless tickets where possible, and lowering prices on everything from parking to beer to merchandise for every show in every city.  Kid Rock and his Twisted Brown Trucker Band will perform under the stars in amphitheaters this summer, beginning June 28th at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia through September 15th at the Live Nation Amphitheatre in Tampa, Florida.  The tour, promoted by Live Nation, includes three special shows at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Kid Rock's hometown of Detroit, Michigan.  Kool & The Gang, ZZ Top, and Uncle Kracker are confirmed as support on select dates.  Tickets go on sale to the public in select markets beginning April 12th on LiveNation.com.
In addition to the low ticket price, Kid Rock is going beyond the extra mile for his fans. In a first for a Kid Rock tour, participating Walmart locations will offer all-in $20 tickets –no fees, no parking charges, nada. Kid Rock is reserving the first two rows for every show as free upgrades for lucky fans who will be selected at random.  Special $4 draught beers, value food packages, cheaper parking (where possible), free samples of Jimmy John's sandwiches at select venues, free coffee at the end of the show, and $20 tour t-shirts will be available as well.  As an additional method to combat scalping, Kid Rock will be releasing 1000 tickets from each show directly as Platinum Tickets via LiveNation.com.  As some of the best seats in the house, Platinum Tickets are market priced tickets. This removes the money making opportunity from scalpers by pricing these select seats at market value.  Tickets will be sold directly to fans so not to run the risk of having to purchase from unauthorized third parties. So, yes.  Kid Rock is scalping his own tickets so other people can't, which also enables him to keep the ticket prices at $20 while putting on an extravagant production.
Says Kid Rock, "Everyone knows the economy is still hurting people across the country, but I didn't want that to be a reason why everyone couldn't get out and enjoy themselves on a summer night.   So we're going to throw the biggest and best party ever, with prices across the board that are reasonable and transparent.  No hidden fees, no gimmicks.  We're not sparing any expense on this tour, we're going over the top as always, but that doesn't mean we're going to ask the fans to pay more.  If this works we're going to play to packed houses of fans who appreciate what we're doing.  If it doesn't, might be a long summer.  But someone has to go out there and fight these high prices and change things up, and I'm lucky enough that I can afford to take a pay cut.  $20. Best night ever."
Kid Rock is touring in support of his 10th album, Rebel Soul,  and will be returning to Piers Morgan Live, along with Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino, to discuss this groundbreaking tour this Friday, April 12th.  As in the past, Jim Beam and Harley Davidson will be sponsoring the tour. Current members of Kid Rock's Rebel Soldiers fan club will have first access to presale tickets through kidrock.com/tour.
Paperless tickets are being used where possible to further help reduce scalping. Fans will have the option of paper and paperless tickets, but Kid Rock has chosen to use paperless tickets as it is a proven method of getting face value tickets directly into the hands of his real fans so they don't have to pay an astronomical mark up by scalpers.
Participating Walmart and Live Nation box office locations will offer all-in $20 tickets, All tickets sold via other outlets will carry additional service fees and/or parking fees where applicable.
