CASSADEE POPE’S DEBUT SINGLE EARNS PLATINUM STATUS
“Wasting
All These Tears” Catapults the Vocalist into an Elite Group of Solo
Female Country Artists, Including Superstar Taylor Swift
\
Nashville, TN – As the RIAA certifies
her debut single “Wasting All These Tears” PLATINUM for sales surpassing
1 million downloads, Cassadee Pope solidifies her standing in an elite group of only three other women to achieve the milestone. Not since Taylor Swift in 2006 has a solo female country artist gone platinum on their debut single.
Cassadee, who garnered fans and often dominated the #1 spot on iTunes prior to winning season three of The Voice,
returned to the show last summer to premiere the song. The lead single
has been a successful introduction to Cassadee’s Republic Nashville
album FRAME BY FRAME, which debuted in the upper echelon on the
Billboard charts – #1 Top Country Albums and Top 10 all-genre Top
Albums. The achievement marked Cassadee as one of only two solo women in
the past five years to top the Country chart with a debut release.
Cassadee recently released a follow-up single, “I Wish I Could Break
Your Heart,” which has created buzz online with over 640,000 views of
the accompanying video – http://vevo.ly/fy6HUI.
She has been an ambassador for hunger issues, helping to secure over 20
million meals across the country through an initiative with her record
label Big Machine Label Group, General Mills and Feeding America called Outnumber Hunger.
On April 4, Cassadee will join labelmates at “Outnumber Hunger Live!”
during the ACM Party For A Cause Festival before heading to Nashville
for a performance at the 2014 NCAA Women’s Final Four on April 8.
This Summer, she will join Tim McGraw’s SUNDOWN HEAVEN TOWN 2014 TOUR and has previously toured with Rascal Flatts and in Canada with Dean Brody. For tour dates and more, visit CassadeePope.com.

Nashville, TN (February 26, 2014) – Armed with “Wasting All These Tears,” the Top 10 Country debut single that has sold nearly 1 million copies, talented newcomer Cassadee Pope has released a brand new music video! The petite powerhouse’s latest offering, “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart,” has already garnered buzz with over 310,000 fans viewing online. Watch now via http://vevo.ly/fy6HUI.
Director Wes Edwards utilized the blank canvas of a sound stage in Nashville to capture a balance of femininity and empowerment. Soft scenes draped in ivory lace and pearls are intercut with dark visuals depicting broken hearts, mimicking the whirlwind of emotions that come with a failed relationship. Cassadee’s band is also featured in a rockin’ performance as she belts out the driving chorus.
The single is from Cassadee’s album FRAME BY FRAME, which debuted in the upper echelon on the Billboard charts – #1 Top Country Albums and Top 10 all-genre Top Albums. The achievement marked Cassadee as one of only two solo women in the past five years to top the Country chart with a debut release. The singer/songwriter stole the national spotlight when she won The Voice (season 3) as part of Team Blake (Shelton) and dominated the #1 spot on iTunes All-Genre chart with three of her performances.
Cassadee, who has previously toured with Rascal Flatts and Dean Brody, will join Tim McGraw’s SUNDOWN HEAVEN TOWN 2014 TOUR this Summer. For tour dates and more, visit CassadeePope.com.
