NASHVILLE, TN  – As the new year unfolds, the profile of Country trio MIDLAND continues to explode with a pair of GRAMMY Awards nominations, major tours, TV appearances and upcoming features in Vogue and Playboy.

On the strength of their No. 1 debut single, the PLATINUM-certified "Drinkin' Problem," the group is nominated in two categories – Best Country Song and Best Country Duo/Group Performance – at the GRAMMY Awards on January 28. The song was named one of the best of 2017 by both Billboard and Rolling Stone, with Midland's debut album ON THE ROCKS (Big Machine Records) also garnering year-end praise from NPRRolling Stone and Vulture while The Washington Post, named the "flawless neo-honky-tonk album" as the No. 1 all-genre album of 2017.

This week, Midland – made up of Mark Wystrach (lead vocals, guitar) Cameron Duddy (harmony vocals, bass) and Jess Carson (harmony vocals, lead guitar) – unveiled a new video here that takes fans inside the Nashville studio as they recorded ON THE ROCKS. The rare peek into the band's creative process follows  Wystrach, Duddy and Carson as they work out song arrangements with producers Dann Huff, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne.

"It's like this super team where everybody's working to bring the song to its full potential," says Wystrach. "This album is soaked in blood, sweat, tears and booze."

"We took a lot of care to create a landscape of songs, an overall concept for the album, and to hopefully bring albums back a bit," adds Carson.

Midland will perform their second single "Make a Little," on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Tuesday, January 23 leading into GRAMMY Awards weekend. "Make a Little," written by the band with McAnally and Osborne, is currently in the Top 15 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase charts.

Midland have opened for Kenny Chesney, and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, and recently wrapped up the CMT On Tour with Jon Pardi. They'll bring their rollicking, traditional Country live show back to the stage next month as part of Little Big Town's THE BREAKERS TOUR on February 8 in Oklahoma City, OK, and join Thomas Rhett's LIFE CHANGES TOUR on September 13 in Bangor, ME.

Their Platinum-certified lead single “Drinkin’ Problem,” which offers an intentional nod to Country music reminiscent of the 1970s and 80s, earned the band their first Grammy Award nominations for Best Country Song and Best Country Duo/Group Performance. Midland followed the chart-topper with their optimistic tune “Make A Little,” which began impacting Country radio on September 25. THE BAND PERRY SCORE GRAMMY® AWARD NOMINATION FOR "GENTLE ON MY MIND"

Superstar sibling trio The Band Perry received a nomination for the 57th Grammy Awards in "Best Country Duo/Group Performance" for their stirring interpretation of the Glen Campbell song "Gentle On My Mind."  "Gentle On My Mind" is the band's current single and prominently featured on the soundtrack to the James Keach directed documentary Glen Campbell:  I'll Be Me.  The 57th Grammy Awards will be televised on February 8, 2015 at 8PM on CBS. (Check Local Listings)"We were so excited to hear about our Grammy nomination, but to receive one for a song we feel so passionately about is thrilling beyond words," said The Band Perry.  "Glen Campbell is one of our heroes, and we feel so privileged to have been asked to record this iconic song of his and to be a part of this project to raise awareness for Alzheimer's in his honor."

ABOUT THE BAND PERRY
One of the most dynamic acts in music today, The Band Perry has both achieved massive mainstream success and gained major critical acclaim since delivering their platinum self-titled debut. Introducing the sibling trio as a powerful new force on the country scene, 2010's The Band Perry offered up five hit singles, including the quintuple-platinum chart-topper "If I Die Young" and other platinum hits - the #1 "All Your Life" and "You Lie" - as well as "Hip to My Heart" and "Postcard from Paris." For the band's gold-certified second album Pioneer, frontwoman Kimberly Perry and her younger brothers Reid and Neil delved deeper into an edgy, rock-and-roll-inspired sound while staying true to their Southern roots. Featuring the platinum #1 single "Better Dig Two" and the gold #1 "DONE." (plus smash hits "Don't Let Me Be Lonely" and "Chainsaw"), Pioneer found The Band Perry widening their appeal and continuing to showcase their breathtaking three-part harmonies.

In recent years, The Band Perry has earned multiple awards from the likes of The Academy of Country Music, The Country Music Association, CMT Music Awards, and The American Country Awards. They have also received nominations from The American Music Awards, The Billboard Music Awards, and the Grammy Awards. Named Vocal Group of the Year by the ACM in 2014, the group also kicked off the WE ARE PIONEERS WORLD TOUR in late 2013 and quickly established themselves as a global powerhouse. Their latest single, a spirited rendition of Glen Campbell's "Gentle on My Mind" also appears on the soundtrack for I'll Be Me, a documentary about the country music legend. The band is currently at work on new music for their upcoming third album.

The WE ARE PIONEERS WORLD TOUR continues through the end of the year.  For tour dates and more on TBP, visit thebandperry.com.

Glen Campbell's Wife Issues Statement In Regards to
His GRAMMY Nominations

NASHVILLE, TN  – In response to the three GRAMMY nominations earned December 5 by the music from the new, critically-acclaimed documentary GLEN CAMPBELL...I’LL BE ME, Glen Campbell’s wife, Kim Campbell, has issued the following statement on behalf of the entire Campbell family:
"We were ecstatic that the Recording Academy honored Glen with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012 while he was still able to comprehend the love and appreciation of his peers. And now for them to honor him again with a nomination for a song he recorded while descending into the later stages of Alzheimer’s, there just aren’t words enough to express how blessed we feel. This song tells the truth of what it’s like to loose your memory and yet be at peace with it. It would not have been possible without Glen’s producer/co-writer Julian Raymond. Julian knew how to reach the unreachable recesses of Glen’s mind and bring his soul into this recording. Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Label Group embraced this song and brought it to the ears of the world while James Keach and Trevor Albert brought it to the eyes of the world in the documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me. We are very proud of Glen and grateful for God’s grace. We thank the Recording Academy for their love and for bringing attention to the plight of those who live with Alzheimer’s by recognizing this song.

Dailey & Vincent
When Bluegrass takes a walk on the Gospel side . . .

The Gospel Side of Dailey & Vincent
Nominated for Best Bluegrass Album
at the 55th GRAMMY® Awards

“The duo of Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent has cracked open the formalism of religious string-band music by reaching out to mainstream country and even some humor to create an irresistible album. Of course, it helps that their duet singing is prettier than just about anyone’s.”
-The Washington Post

“ . . . a Spirit-filled tour de force of hair-raising vocal harmony that crosses Bill Monroe with Bill Gaither and counts off various stripes of country-gospel like so many flowers on the wall, with Southern gospel, old-timey spirituals and mountain-music styles sharing a pew with tunes from Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton and Buck Owens.”
-Country Weekly

“ . . . built around the exquisite harmonies that Jamie and Darrin seem to bring to everything they sing.”
-Bluegrass Today

“ . . . the music lacks nothing in the way of excellent performance and good spirit.”
-Bluegrass Unlimited

“ . . . their strength is the kind of close harmony that made the Louvins and McReynolds household names in country music . . .”
-Country Standard Time

  • The Gospel Side of Dailey & Vincent debuted in January 2012 at #1 on Billboard magazine’s Top Bluegrass Albums Chart and at #3 on the Top Contemporary Christian Chart.  Click here to listen to samples of each of the 12 tracks.
  • This is the second GRAMMY® nomination for Dailey & Vincent. The first was in 2011 for the song “Elizabeth” from Dailey & Vincent Sing the Statler Brothers, which was nominated for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.
  • Both nominated projects were released on Rounder Records and are available exclusively through Cracker Barrel Old Country Store®.
