NASHVILLE, TN  – In response to the three GRAMMY nominations earned December 5 by the music from the new, critically-acclaimed documentary GLEN CAMPBELL...I’LL BE ME, Glen Campbell’s wife, Kim Campbell, has issued the following statement on behalf of the entire Campbell family:
"We were ecstatic that the Recording Academy honored Glen with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012 while he was still able to comprehend the love and appreciation of his peers. And now for them to honor him again with a nomination for a song he recorded while descending into the later stages of Alzheimer’s, there just aren’t words enough to express how blessed we feel. This song tells the truth of what it’s like to loose your memory and yet be at peace with it. It would not have been possible without Glen’s producer/co-writer Julian Raymond. Julian knew how to reach the unreachable recesses of Glen’s mind and bring his soul into this recording. Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Label Group embraced this song and brought it to the ears of the world while James Keach and Trevor Albert brought it to the eyes of the world in the documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me. We are very proud of Glen and grateful for God’s grace. We thank the Recording Academy for their love and for bringing attention to the plight of those who live with Alzheimer’s by recognizing this song.
