NASHVILLE, TN  – As the new year unfolds, the profile of Country trio MIDLAND continues to explode with a pair of GRAMMY Awards nominations, major tours, TV appearances and upcoming features in Vogue and Playboy.

On the strength of their No. 1 debut single, the PLATINUM-certified "Drinkin' Problem," the group is nominated in two categories – Best Country Song and Best Country Duo/Group Performance – at the GRAMMY Awards on January 28. The song was named one of the best of 2017 by both Billboard and Rolling Stone, with Midland's debut album ON THE ROCKS (Big Machine Records) also garnering year-end praise from NPRRolling Stone and Vulture while The Washington Post, named the "flawless neo-honky-tonk album" as the No. 1 all-genre album of 2017.

This week, Midland – made up of Mark Wystrach (lead vocals, guitar) Cameron Duddy (harmony vocals, bass) and Jess Carson (harmony vocals, lead guitar) – unveiled a new video here that takes fans inside the Nashville studio as they recorded ON THE ROCKS. The rare peek into the band's creative process follows  Wystrach, Duddy and Carson as they work out song arrangements with producers Dann Huff, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne.

"It's like this super team where everybody's working to bring the song to its full potential," says Wystrach. "This album is soaked in blood, sweat, tears and booze."

"We took a lot of care to create a landscape of songs, an overall concept for the album, and to hopefully bring albums back a bit," adds Carson.

Midland will perform their second single "Make a Little," on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Tuesday, January 23 leading into GRAMMY Awards weekend. "Make a Little," written by the band with McAnally and Osborne, is currently in the Top 15 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase charts.

Midland have opened for Kenny Chesney, and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, and recently wrapped up the CMT On Tour with Jon Pardi. They'll bring their rollicking, traditional Country live show back to the stage next month as part of Little Big Town's THE BREAKERS TOUR on February 8 in Oklahoma City, OK, and join Thomas Rhett's LIFE CHANGES TOUR on September 13 in Bangor, ME.

ABOUT MIDLAND: Hailing from Dripping Springs, TX, Midland is made up of vocalist Mark Wystrach, lead guitarist Jess Carson and bass player Cameron Duddy. Rooted in tradition in both sound and style, the trio initially garnered attention playing clubs in the region. Their Platinum-certified lead single “Drinkin’ Problem,” which offers an intentional nod to Country music reminiscent of the 1970s and 80s, earned the band their first Grammy Award nominations for Best Country Song and Best Country Duo/Group Performance. Midland followed the chart-topper with their optimistic tune “Make A Little,” which began impacting Country radio on September 25. This year Country Radio Broadcasters voted the trio as one of the esteemed 2018 CRS New Faces. Their critically-acclaimed freshman album, ON THE ROCKS, available now on Big Machine Records, features 13 tracks, with songwriting credits from each member alongside hitmakers Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne. Launching to rave reviews from notable outlets like Los Angeles Time sand Rolling Stone Country, ON THE ROCKS was touted by The Washington Post as“the year’s best Country Album.” The Dann Huff-produced album earned the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Top Country Album Sales chart upon release.
