SEAL ANNOUNCES LATE SUMMER TOUR DATES

7/11/16 - Los Angeles, CA - Multi-platinum, Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Seal will hit the road late this summer, where he will perform hits from his illustrious 20-plus-year career. The tour kicks off August 18th in Hollywood, Florida and will run through various cities across the country such as Atlanta, Washington DC and Atlantic City. Tickets available here.

Seal made headlines recently on a trip to Montréal, when he noticed a local busker on the streets and jumped in to sing along with him. "I love to wander around each city when I'm touring and take photos in my off time. This busker caught my eye and I just had to jump in."  This encounter was captured and recorded by numerous spectators on their phones and has since gone viral through social media, being picked up by TV stations across the country including Good Morning America.  Since his first street singing session in Montréal, Seal has performed with two lucky fans on both the streets of London and Manchester in the UK and has invited both of them up on stage with him that night at his sold-out shows. Seal had so much fun busking that he has started his own Facebook live series entitled Street Songs where he posts videos of these spontaneous sessions with fans. Since the beginning of his career, London-born multi-platinum singer-songwriter Seal has been focused on a single creative pursuit: expressing the full experience of love through song. His inimitable voice was first heard on Adamski's 1991 club smash "Killer," followed by his Top 10 hit "Crazy." On the heels of his stunning debut album, he went on to win the prestigious BRIT Award for "Best British Male" in 1992, while hits like "Kiss From a Rose," memorably included in the Batman Forever soundtrack, earned him multiple Grammy awards and global esteem. An established superstar, with worldwide album sales exceeding 30 million of his eight studio albums, Seal released his latest, 7, which reunites him with his longtime collaborator, the producer Trevor Horn. The artist's focus remains where it's always been, on the many permutations of love. "I just want people to feel," he says. No one is better suited to the task.

The run will kick off with a pair of West Coast dates - an October 12 show at the historic Fox Theater in Oakland, CA and a hometown concert at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on October 14. The band will perform on "Good Morning America" this Wednesday, June 22. Their "Get Right Back" summer tour is underway now and visits New York City's Terminal 5 tomorrow, June 21.

Fitz and The Tantrums (Elektra Records), available HERE, is No. 16 on the Billboard 200, No. 4 on Billboard's Alternative Albums chart and No. 13 on Billboard's Current Albums chart.

"HandClap," the album's first single, has been nominated for a Teen Choice Award for Choice Rock Song. Fans can vote HERE. The track is currently has more than 8 million Spotify streams.

The song has been heard in the advertising campaign for the Fiat 500X Crossover (view the latest ad HERE) and in this trailer for the film Storks. It is also being used as the official song for The CW's 2016 Summer and Fall Image Campaigns. "HandClap" is No. 1 on Billboard & Clio Music's Top Commercials chart for the month of May. View Fitz and The Tantrums performing "HandClap" on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" HERE and see the official video, directed by Marc Klasfeld (Wiz Khalifa, Twenty One Pilots), HERE.

The Los Angeles Times called "HandClap" a contender for "2016's Song of the Summer" in this feature, which takes a look at the songwriting process behind the track and radio's ecstatic response to it. "Fitz & The Tantrums deliver hook upon hook on catchy new single 'HandClap,'" said Idolator and Harper's Bazaar hailed the track as a "cheeky dance floor seduction ballad."
USA Today put "Roll Up," another album track, on its list of the "10 best songs of the week," noting how it's "infectious, pop-y, and hard not to bop around to when it floats in your ears." The Boston Globe observed, "the album proves emphatically that Fitz can still craft a catchy chorus."Newsday said,"Fitz and The Tantrums' move from their retro-soul roots to the sparkling dance pop on their new album, 'Fitz and The Tantrums' (Elektra), might have been alarming if the Los Angeles band didn't do it so well."

Fitz and The Tantrumsis the follow-up to More Than Just a Dream, which has racked up over 76 million album streams to date. The 2013 album contained the Gold-certified singles "The Walker" and "Out Of My League." Both tracks topped Billboard's Alternative Songs chart - a feat accomplished by only three other artists in the chart's 25-year history.

Fitz and The Tantrums are: Fitz (vocals), Noelle Scaggs (vocals/tambourine), James King (saxophone), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards), John Wicks (drums) and Joseph Karnes (bass).

Grouplove - Big Mess [Official Album Trailer]

Recorded in Los Angeles and Seattle with producers Captain Cuts (Grouplove's own Ryan Rabin) and Phil Ek (Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses, The Shins), Big Mess features the signature anthemic choruses and infectious hooks that first brought the Los Angeles quintet to prominence through hits like "Tongue Tied," "Colours," and "Ways To Go." No stranger to the worldwide festival circuit, Grouplove has made an album that brilliantly showcases their richly narrated songs with elaborate production.

"We made this album at an important crossroads in our lives, and it was a dream come true to be able to work with Phil Ek up in Seattle and with Ryan down in LA. We're extremely excited for the world to hear it!" offered singer/guitarist Christian Zucconi.

This fall, Grouplove will hit the road for their Big Mess World Tour. Grouplove first came together in 2009 and were quickly hailed for their standout live performances, both as headliners and at such international festivals as Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Reading + Leeds Festivals, and Glastonbury.  A year after releasing a self-titled EP in 2010, the band returned with their debut full length "NEVER TRUST A HAPPY SONG" featuring a trio of breakout singles - "Colours," "Itchin' On A Photograph," and  the RIAA-certified platinum hit "Tongue Tied" which spent 3 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Alternative radio chart. The quintet's second full length album - 2013's "SPREADING RUMOURS" - was met with a raft of acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone, USA Today, Entertainment Weekly, Los Angeles Times, NYLON, and National Public Radio who called it "ludicrously easy to love."  As with all of Grouplove's recorded material, the collection was produced by the band's own Ryan Rabin, and was highlighted by singles "Ways To Go" and "Shark Attack."  In 2014, Grouplove contributed the original song "Let Me In" to  "The Fault in Our Stars - Music From the Motion Picture," the musical companion to the blockbuster film based on The New York Times bestseller. That same year, the band was tapped to create the theme song to the Netflix Original Series "BoJack Horseman." Last year, vocalist/keyboardist Hannah Hooper collaborated with Volcom for a Lady Grouplove capsule collection of clothing inspired by her personal style and artwork.

Grouplove is: Christian Zucconi (vocals, guitar), Hannah Hooper (vocals, keys), Andrew Wessen (guitar, vocals), Ryan Rabin (drums), and Daniel Gleason (bass).

BRETT DENNEN CONFIRMS FALL TOUR

NEW ALBUM POR FAVOR OUT NOW
TO WIDESPREAD ACCLAIM ON ELEKTRA RECORDS

Brett Dennen will continue his extensive North American tour this fall. The six-week run of shows will kick off at Santa Cruz’s Rio Theatre on September 14 and includes stops in Tucson, Aspen, Birmingham, Nashville, Atlanta and Philadelphia among many others. The tour also includes performances during both weekends of the Austin City Limits Music Festival. See below for complete tour details.

The tour celebrates Dennen’s acclaimed new album Por Favor, which is out now on Elektra Records and will be available on vinyl starting July 1. Earlier this spring, the acclaimed singer-songwriter stopped by to perform three songs on “CBS This Morning: Saturday Sessions” (watch him play “Cassidy,” “Bonfire” and “I’ll Be On Your Side”). Additionally, Dennen was recently featured on KCRW’s prestigious “Morning Becomes Eclectic” who hails, “his newest batch of tracks reveals a raw vulnerability.”

Por Favor, which was produced by Grammy Award-winner Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell), continues to receive widespread critical praise:

“It’s a thrill to hear Dennen go through this process, uncovering self-truths and forming new questions along the way. Por Favor paves a redemptive journey into a heart that’s not always happy and draws a portrait of a maturing artist mired in shadow pining for daylight…sometimes serene and sometimes fierce, Por Favor nourishes healing assertions and sounds.”—The Huffington Post

“fuses his folky style of the past with calypso sounds”—The Wall Street Journal

“…he strips his music down to the barest essentials to create what is easily his most vulnerable and intimate album.”—AllMusic

“Por Favor is like listening to Dennen on vacation, somewhere warm and with endless chill and plenty of rum.”—No Depression

“…the album shows Dennen at his most vulnerable, both lyrically and sonically.”
—The Bluegrass Situation

Of his intention with Por Favor, Dennen explains, “When you say please, you’re asking something to come into your life. It might mean that you’re weak and need something to make you strong. But you’re admitting to some sort of weakness or some form of humility. Vulnerable was another word that kept coming up when I was making this record. Is there something I’m scared to say? Can I dig a little deeper, reveal a little bit more? How far can I go? That was my direction, and once I got that in place, I started shooting down things that weren’t in that zone.”

Cobb adds, “I worked with Brett because of his beautiful balance of wit and melody. He’s very timeless in his writing and you really can hear his personality in every note he sings. The record was made totally live and we recorded all the vocals live with the band. It really was produced as stripped-down as
possible—we tried to make every note matter.”

Por Favor is Dennen’s sixth full-length album and his first since 2013’s Smoke and Mirrors. Released to widespread acclaim, Rolling Stone called his most recent record his “strongest effort yet,” while NPR’s “Weekend Edition” described it as “a deeply personal work.” Since his breakout self-titled debut in 2004, Dennen has performed on the “Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Tonight Show,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “CONAN” and has played to sold-out audiences worldwide.
