PARADISE LOST announces new album title and release date

After taking a trip back in time with the Tragic Illusion 25 (The Rarities) album and the last studio album Tragic Idol (2012) which entered the charts in over 10 European countries - most notably #2 in UK Rock Charts, #6 in Germany, #15 in Austria, #30 in France and #32 in North America Top New Artists/Heatseeker Charts - it's now time for PARADISE LOST's 14th studio album! The album will be titled The Plague Within and will be released via Century Media Records on June 1st in Europe and June 2nd in North America.

Nick Holmes comments: "We wanted to approach the new album differently this time by embracing the band's VERY early days. We have written a very dark, yet melodic album, but this time many songs definitely have a death metal edge, which is something we haven't done for a long long time in PARADISE LOST."

The Plague Within was produced and mixed by Jaimie Gomez Arellano from Orgone Studios in London (GHOST BC, ULVER, CATHEDRAL, ANGEL WITCH).

More details about PARADISE LOST's upcoming album will be revealed soon...

CHART-TOPPING DEBUT ALBUM MEGALITHIC SYMPHONY

Los Angeles, CA - January 26, 2015 - AWOLNATION have announced the release of their new studio album titled Run (Red Bull Records) on March 17, the highly anticipated follow-up to their chart-topping debut Megalithic Symphony. Visit www.awolnationmusic.com to pre-order the album, purchase exclusive merch pre-order bundles andreceive an instant download of theband's electric first single "Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf)." Digital pre-order starts tomorrow and the single will be available on iTunes and streaming services on January 27 as well. AWOLNATION recently completed an official music video for "Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf)" that can now be viewed on the band's website and YouTube. An extensive U.S. summer tour will announced shortly, including a stop at this year's Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, and the band will soon begin performing at select stateside festival shows after a brief European tour this spring. A current itinerary is listed below.
Following a whirlwind two-year world tour in support of Megalithic Symphony, 2014 saw AWOLNATION withdraw into the depths of the California coastline to construct the sophomore effort. A culmination of the years following the release of the debut album, the 14-track Run, was written, performed and produced entirely by musical architect Aaron Bruno. The end result is a finely tuned musical masterwork that is at times, and all at once, sprawling, atmospheric, exuberant, earnest and refined with moments of a signature aggressive unease. "There is not one second on the record that hasn't been thoughtfully placed," said Bruno. "Every single element serves a purpose."

Standout songs alongside the first single "Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf)" include the cinematic "Jailbreak," the soaring anthem "I Am," the title track "Run," the euphoric "Windows," the painfully vulnerable "Headrest for My Soul," and the atomic rebellion of "KOOKSEVERYWHERE!!!!"
Released in 2011, the band's gold-certified debut album Megalithic Symphony was an alternative music revelation that became an astonishing success resonating with fans around the world. The album holds a number of long-running Billboard chart positions including 146 weeks on the Independent Albums chart, 111 weeks on the Billboard Top200, 105 weeks on the Top Rock Albums chart and has topped the Heatseekers Albums chart several times over.

Their hit single "Sail," a redefining global anthem, is certified 6X Platinumin the U.S., is the second longest charting song in the Billboard Hot 100's 55-year history. It has amassed hundreds of millions of video views and streaming plays online, topping Billboard's Rock Streaming Songs chart in 2014 and charting around the world: it is certified 10x platinum in Norway, 6x platinum in Canada, 3x platinum in Sweden, 2x platinum in Australia and New Zealand, platinum in Switzerland, gold in Austria, Germany and the UK.
Following the success of "Sail," the band would go on to chart two more alternative singles, "Not Your Fault" and "Kill Your Heroes," having sold over a million downloads combined. In 2014 AWOLNATION remained prominent on numerous Billboard Year End charts closing out the year on Rock Streaming Songs Artists #4, Rock Digital Songs Artists #10, Hot Rock Songs Artists #14, Top Rock Artists #17, Independent Albums #40, and several more. Since the release of their debut album, AWOLNATION has performed countless shows to millions of fans across the globe, including Coachella, Voodoo Festival, Austin City Limits, Osheaga, Brazil's Mix FM Fest and Austria's Frequency Festival.

Tour included date at Scottrade Center in May

LOS ANGELES (Jan. 22, 2015) – Celebrating 40 years, Rush and Live Nation confirmed today that the R40 LIVE Tour will visit 34 cities throughout North America this summer beginning May 8 in Tulsa, Okla. and finishing Aug. 1 in Los Angeles, Cali.  These not to be missed concerts will highlight four decades of the band’s music. Tickets for the RUSH: R40 LIVE TOUR will go on sale starting Jan. 30 in select markets at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com. The band is scheduled to play at the Scottrade Center in St Louis on May 14. On sale date for this show has not yet been announced.
Over the course of their amazing career, Rush has lived a lifetime together, providing an influential soundtrack to many of their fans’ lives. Some have been with them since the start, while others have discovered them along the way and delved into their incredible body of work. To quote Dave Grohl from their momentous induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, “Rush built their following the right way. No hype, no bullshit, they did it from the ground up. Their legacy is incredible and their influence undeniable.”  After 40 years together and 20 gold and platinum studio albums – Rush is ready to celebrate with the most loyal fans in the world by embarking on their 21st tour, one which will most likely be their last major tour of this magnitude. Celebrate four decades of music with three incredible musicians – all in 1 night.
Rush’s vast catalogue includes such classics as 1974’s self-titled debut, 1976’s 2112, 1981’s Moving Pictures, 1996’s Test For Echo, and 2002’s Vapor Trails. Rush released their 20th studio album, Clockwork Angels in 2012 via Anthem/Roadrunner Records. The critically acclaimed collection marked their first studio recording since 2007’s Snakes & Arrows, and debuted at #1 in Canada and #2 on the Billboard 200 matching the highest chart debut of the band’s career. Known for their energetic live shows, the most recent Rush release was the R40 collector’s boxset including live footage spanning all four decades of the trio’s career, including over two hours of unreleased material and a rare performance of the seven-part version of “2112” packaged in an impressive 52-page hardcover book.  Their longevity has served a pop culture renaissance, with the band’s rare television appearance - their first in over 30 years - on Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report, tributes on South Park and a memorable cameo in the film “I Love You, Man.”  A live review from their most recent Clockwork Angels tour boasted “the power-trio interplay could put guys half their age in the burn ward,” while The Globe & Mail declared Rush as “one of the few bands anywhere that just keeps getting better.” A career-chronicling Rolling Stone feature summed up the renowned rock trio’s continuing artistic vitality by observing, “It’s true that Rush doesn’t mean today what it did in ’76 or even ’96. It may mean more.”
Rush has been recognized with eight Juno Awards, seven Grammy nominations, including one for the acclaimed documentary “Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage” that also won the Audience Award at the Tribeca Film Festival. The band members were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1994, made Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996 and inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2010. They have received a star on both Canada’s Walk of Fame (1999) and Hollywood Walk of Fame (2010). In 2012, Rush were bestowed with the highest artistic honour in Canada when receiving the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award. To the elation of their fans, Rush were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 20133.  Tickets for the RUSH: R40 LIVE TOUR will go on sale starting Jan. 30 in select markets at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com.  Citi® card members will have access to pre-sale tickets through Citis Private Pass® Program beginning Jan. 27 in select markets.  Motley Crue Reveals Date For Final Show - Band Announces Details of 2015's Last Leg of Their "Final Tour"; 34 North American Dates to Mark 34 Years of Motley Crue -

- New Single and Video Clip "All Bad Things" Out Today -

LOS ANGELES,  -- Iconic rock band Motley Crue announced today on Fox & Friends the details of their final performance. This will mark the end of their touring career and will conclude their two-year Final Tour cycle at the end of 2015 on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31 at Staples Center in their hometown of Los Angeles where the band's career began 34 years ago. The band will celebrate this week's big announcement with a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, Jan. 22.
Motley Crue first announced plans for their two-year Final Tour by signing a Cessation Of Touring Agreement at a press conference in Los Angeles in January 2014, solidifying the end of their Final Tour at the end of 2015.
The 2014 leg of the Final Tour was one of last year's top grossing tours, selling close to a million tickets across 72 cities and grossing more than $45 million.
"Motley Crue's Final Tour has been a massive global success and a true testament to the popularity of this legendary rock band," says Rick Franks, Live Nation's Regional President of North American Concerts. "New Year's Eve 2015 will mark the end of an era in rock history but there's no doubt that Motley Crue's music will influence generations of artists for years to come."
After 34 years performing together, the 2015 leg of the Final Tour will see the band play Japan in February, then Australia/New Zealand in the Spring. In June, Motley Crue will say farewell to the European Festival circuit with 3 massive performances at Download (UK), Sweden Rock (Sweden) and Novarock (Austria) Festivals before taking their can't-miss show back to the U.S., Canada, and Mexico this summer for 34 final North American shows due to tremendous fan demand.
The North American dates will see the band visit cities such as Chicago, New York, Toronto, Atlanta, Mexico City and will be taking place in arenas exclusively to ensure fans in all cities get to experience the full show production of the Final Tour:
"In some of the cities, we could only reach a fraction of the fans who wanted to come see us play last year because of ticket demand so we're coming back to those places to bring them our full production including the Cruecifly drum coaster, as well as all pyro and every other bell and whistle. Even despite the overwhelming fan demand we can only add so many new cities in North America because of our commitment to take the Final Tour global on our final year," says Nikki Sixx (bass).
Audiences can also expect a high-energy performance from very special guest Alice Cooper, who joined the band for the Final Tour in 2014.  He will be tearing up the stage for crowds across North America once again. The pairing has been roundly praised as a must-see by fans and media alike.
The band's exclusive Fan Club pre-sale for these dates starts tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time, with a special Citi card member pre-sale beginning at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time the same day. Local pre-sales start this Thursday, Jan. 22 at 10:00 a.m. local time before the public on-sale begins on Friday, Jan. 23 at 10:00 a.m. local time; some dates (including the band's Final New Year's Eve performance) will be going on sale this Saturday, Jan. 24 at 10:00 a.m. local time. See below for a full list of dates. For VIP packages and ticket information, go to www.motley.com.
Following the North American summer shows, the band will take the Final Tour on more international dates this Fall before "all bad things come to an end" for good on New Year's Eve 2015.
Coinciding with today's announcement and the theme of the Final Tour, the band also released its new single "All Bad Things" this morning which is available for sale digitally here: http://smarturl.it/MC_AllBadThings. The single is accompanied by a video clip of highlights of Motley Crue's 34-year career which premiered today on The Tonight Show's blog - http://fallontonight.tumblr.com/ to preview the band's national TV appearance on the show this Thursday.
To give back to the fans for their support over the years, Motley Crue will give away their best selling GREATEST HITS album for free in partnership with Google Play for one week only. About Alice Cooper
Alice Cooper is a true rock icon, having pioneered the use of theatrics and shocking images onstage in concerts from the earliest days of the original band of the same name.  Since going solo, he has continued to produce elaborate stage shows providing fans with both shock and rock of the highest caliber.  Inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in 2011, Alice has toured and recorded continuously, with his most recent album being Welcome 2 My Nightmare.  Recorded with longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin, who produced the original ground breaking, multi-platinum Welcome To My Nightmare album in 1975, the album picks up right where they left off, with Alice trapped in his own warped mind.   Alice's catalog of hits and anthems, including "I'm Eighteen," "No More Mr Nice Guy," School's Out," "Elected," "Poison," and others, are included in his current "Raise The Dead" show, which also features his musical tribute to his fallen friends John Lennon, Keith Moon, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix.  Currently, Alice's touring band features the three guitar attack of Orianthi, Tommy Henriksen and Ryan Roxie, backed by bassist Chuck Garric and drummer Glen Sobel.   Additionally, "Nights With Alice Cooper," Alice's nightly radio show, is available in nearly 100 cities in the USA, Canada, Australia, and the UK.  The show features his favorite classic rock songs along with his insider anecdotes about many of the artists.

J Boog is a man of many influences. The singer of Samoan descent was born in Long Beach and raised in Compton, California. Growing up in the rough streets of Compton, the strong sense of tradition and culture that J Boog absorbed from his family was instrumental in his path to stay off the streets and begin a successful music career. He is currently and constantly collaborating and recording, getting his sound out for others to enjoy in many creative ways. In 2013 and 2014 he recorded several singles both independently and collaboratively. In July he released the EP “Live Up!” on Washhouse Hawaii. J Boog has toured around the world in locations such as Europe , Africa, Dubai, New Zealand, Australia, United States, and Japan, just to name a few. His music is transparent and preaches that music is the only universal tongue. However, what stays with his listeners is his humility, his deeply engrained commitment to his family and to his proud culture.

Special pre-sales will be held at weirdal.com starting Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 10am local time and will go on sale to the public Friday, Jan. 30 at 10am local time (Noon in Saint Louis, MO).   “Weird Al” Yankovic is the biggest-selling comedy recording artist in history.  Now in his fourth career decade, he has won three Grammys (with 15 nominations) and countless accolades for classics like “Eat It,” “Like a Surgeon,” “Yoda,” “Smells Like Nirvana,” “Amish Paradise” and “White & Nerdy.”  For the rollout of his 14th studio album, Mandatory Fun, Weird Al world-premiered eight videos in eight days, taking the Internet by storm.  The videos, including parodies of Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” (“Tacky”), Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” (“Word Crimes”), Lorde’s “Royals” (“Foil”), and Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” (“Handy”), garnered over 46 million views in the first week.  Yankovic also set the U.S. record for having the most tracks from one album on Spotify’s viral top 10 at one time, taking the first 4 spots.  In addition, “Word Crimes” debuted in the Billboard Top 40, making Al one of only three people to have had Top 40 singles in each of the last four decades (the other two are Michael Jackson and Madonna)

The fourth album from San Diego-bred five- piece Delta Spirit, Into the Wide was born in a flood-ruined, cave-like, rat-colonized room in the band’s new hometown of Brooklyn. After spending more than a year writing together in the windowless studio they rebuilt after Hurricane Sandy wreaked its havoc, the group resurfaced with a batch of demos and headed to Georgia to team up with Ben Allen (a producer/engineer known for his work with artists like Animal Collective and Deerhunter). Recorded near an old shipping yard in Atlanta, Into the Wide intimately captures the claustrophobia of Delta Spirit’s creative space, turning that tension into a moody meditation on the restlessness of city life, growing older, and longing for escape. With its lyrics largely inspired by the murder ballads of Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash, Into the Wide proves more darkly charged than anything the band’s ever offered up before but—thanks to their command of both indelible melody and sprawling, atmospheric arrangements—ultimately emerges as Delta Spirit’s most gloriously heavy album so far.

DOLLY PARTON SIGNS DEVELOPMENT DEAL WITH NBC

Network to Develop Slate of Two-Hour Movies With Legendary Country Icon as Producer

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - - NBC has signed a development deal with Dolly Parton, one of the most honored female country musicians of all time and an American icon.

"I am so excited to be involved with my friend Bob Greenblatt, who produced the Broadway version of '9 to 5: The Musical' with me, and my longtime friend and former agent Sam Haskell. We want to create projects for NBC that are both fun and inspirational with a family audience in mind," said Dolly Parton.

In conjunction with production partner Sam Haskell of Magnolia Hill Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television, NBC will develop a slate of two-hour TV movies based on the songs, stories, and inspiring life of Dolly Parton. This extraordinarily prolific country music artist and movie star will produce these projects that are meant to appeal to an inclusive family audience.

"I don't know anyone in the world who doesn't love Dolly Parton, and the idea of developing television movies inspired by her incredible life and the stories she has sung about for decades is exciting to all of us at NBC," said Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment." I hope we will create some uplifting movies that the entire family can enjoy together, a genre of programming that still seems largely untapped on television."

Added Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment: "We all feel so lucky to be in business with Dolly. We're so excited about working with her to infuse these movies with her incredible work ethic and that genuine hopefulness and positive outlook that has been her trademark for years. And you can bet there will be a lot of her music in them too."

Over the past 40 years, Parton has 41 albums that have reached the top 10 in the country charts - the most for any artist - as well as 25 albums have either been certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum. In addition, 110 singles have reached the country charts. She has won 10 Grammy Awards, 10 Country Music Assn. Awards and 7 Academy of Country Music Awards. In fact, Parton has been nominated for 46 Grammys as both she and Beyonce are the most Grammy-nominated women of all time.

She was twice nominated for an Oscar for her original songs "9 to 5" and "Travelin' Thru," for the film "Transamerica." As an actress, Parton was nominated for three Golden Globes (two for "9 to 5," one for "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas") and won two People's Choice Awards.

Stanley was born in 1927 in Big Spraddle, Va. He learned to play banjo from his mother when he was a teenager. After graduating high school and serving in the U.S. Army, he joined older brother Carter in creating the Clinch Mountain Boys and began performing on local radio stations and at regional venues. After Columbia Records signed them, they became known as The Stanley Brothers and went on to record such classics as “Angel Band,” “Little Maggie” and their signature tune, “Man of Constant Sorrow.” During this time, he developed a unique style of playing the banjo that became known as “Stanley style.”

After Carter died in 1966, Stanley continued to perform and record as a solo artist. Through the years, he helped mentor several future bluegrass and country music artists who performed in his band before embarking on solo careers, including Ricky Skaggs, Larry Sparks and Keith Whitley.

In 1976, Stanley received an honorary doctorate from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tenn., and he has been known as “Dr. Ralph Stanley” ever since.

He was presented with the National Heritage Award by President Ronald Reagan in 1984, elected into the International Bluegrass Hall of Honor in 1992 and inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2000. His performance of “O Death,” featured in the movie “O Brother, Where Art Thou?,” earned him his first GRAMMY Award in 2001 for Best Male Country Vocal Performance. The soundtrack album for that movie also earned Stanley both a GRAMMY Award and a CMA Award for Album of the Year.

His album Lost in the Lonesome Pines earned Stanley his third GRAMMY Award in 2002, this time for Best Bluegrass Album. His performance of “Me and God” with Josh Turner received an ACM nomination for Vocal Event of the Year in 2006. That same year, he received two major honors: the Living Legend Award from the Library of Congress and the National Medal of Arts from President George W. Bush.

He released his autobiography, Man of Constant Sorrow in 2009. Stanley received a second honorary Doctorate of Music degree from Yale University on May 19, 2014, and was elected as a fellow in the American Academy of Arts and Sciences on Oct. 11, 2014.
