Bon Jovi hosting food drive at concert Sunday
ST. LOUIS, MO (May 20, 2011) – At this Sunday’s sold-out Bon Jovi show, Scottrade Center is teaming up with United Way and the St. Louis Area Foodbank to host a food drive benefitting victims of the area’s recent tornadoes and flooding.
Volunteers will be on hand at each entrance collecting non-perishable food items beginning at 6:00pm through the start of the show. Doors will open at 6:30pm. Any ticketholder that makes a donation will be entered into an on-site drawing to receive a lucky ticket upgrade or special Bon Jovi merchandise pack. Winners will be announced at 7:30pm inside the arena so fans should be sure to arrive early and take their seats.
Any non-perishable canned good that can be considered a complete meal is desired. Preferred non-perishable goods include peanut butter, soups and canned tuna or chicken. For more information on the food drive and how you can help, please visit www.scottradecenter.com.
This unforgettable night marks the band’s North American finale before they embark on a European stadium tour this summer. Globally, the Grammy® Award-winning band has sold more than 125 million albums, and performed more than 2,700 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 35 million fans. Bon Jovi Greatest Hits (Island Def Jam Music Group) debuted at #1 around the world, and nearly three decades into their incredible career, the band shows no signs of slowing down.
