Rucker Returns to Letterman and H2O Frozen Over Tour in 2011
Nashville, Tenn. (Tuesday, January 18, 2011) – Capitol Records Nashville’s Darius Rucker started this week in Nashville with a video shoot at the historic Ryman Auditorium for his new single, “This,” from his sophomore album Charleston, SC 1966—a song he will also perform when he makes his return to Late Show with David Letterman this Wednesday, January 19. Rucker will end the week returning to the H2O Frozen Over Tour with Brad Paisley in Green Bay, Wisconsin at the Resch Center on Thursday, January 20.
“LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN” (performance)
Wednesday, January 19, 2011 (CBS, 11:35 PM/ET)
Rucker will also visit The Gayle King Show, LIVE on XM 156/SIRIUS 195 on January 19 at 10:35 AM ET, LIVE at thegaylekingshow.com, or at 10 am EST on Oprah's new Network, OWN.
Rucker recently described his feeling of acceptance into the country music family in Parade Magazine, “I see why people see it as a reinvention, but I don't feel like I was doing anything that different. For me, it was just getting to do something I wanted to do. It honestly felt like a natural evolution of my career."
An evolution that has yielded four #1 singles—his latest with “Come Back Song”—what could be next on the horizon for Rucker? “I'm going to go out and headline a lot of shows this year,” Rucker shares. “When we play, we want everyone to leave going, 'Man, that was fun.' That's our goal every night as a band."
