St. Louis' beloved Chuck Berry took a slight spell at a show in Chicago last night, but is expected to be okay.
At age 84, Berry performed two shows on Friday night in New York City, and flew to Chicago for Saturday's show.
Witnesses say that Berry had slumped over the piano with his head down and was helped offstage.
However, Berry returned to the stage after approximately 20 minutes to "give the fans what they came for," including his signature scoop walk, or duck walk as some have labeled it.
A text to me from his daughter Ingride Berry of Wentzville earlier in the day said that "he's ok now.. landing in about 20 minutes, I will know better after I see him."
Berry continually performs all over the United States, and does short tours in Europe and South America, and well as monthly shows at the Duck Room at Blueberry Hill at St. Louis.
It' only goes to show, you're never to old to rock and roll.
Best to you and yours, Mr. Berry!!
