FIDLAR - "Drone" Music Video

The music video for "Drone" was directed by the band's longtime collaborator Ryan Baxley and tells a campy sci-fi story about aliens chasing after a paranoid conspiracy theorist. The video was shot on Super 8 film and all of the props and costumes were homemade. In Baxley's words, "it looks like it was done by a bunch of 12 year olds in 1979." The "Drone" video is a prequel to FIDLAR's music video for their song "Oh" from their very first EP.

Produced by Jay Joyce, Too was recorded in Nashville over the span of just two weeks. The 12-song collection of pop-infused garage rock expands on the band's 2013 self-titled album that put them at the forefront of modern punk music. The new album showcases a band that continues to fine-tune its sonic approach while also highlighting a more introspective and revelatory approach to songwriting. It also marks the first time the band has worked with a producer.

FIDLAR will kick off an extensive headlining U.S. tour in Denver, CO on September 9th that wraps on Halloween for a two-night hometown stand at the Regent Theater. Tickets for all dates are on-sale now. See below for a complete list of upcoming dates.

FIDLAR is Zac Carper (guitars/vocals), Elvis Kuehn (guitars/vocals), Brandon Schwartzel (bass), and Max Kuehn (drums).  Since forming in 2009, FIDLAR quickly became one of the Los Angeles music scene's most celebrated live acts thanks to their raucous live shows, which often concluded with the majority of audience members joining the band on-stage. Since formation, the band has toured the world and played with The Pixies, The Hives, Black Lips, OFF!, Jeff The Brotherhood, The Orwells, Wavves, The Delta Spirit, and more. Their debut self-titled full-length album was released in the U.S. in January of 2013 and debuted at #5 on the Billboard Heatseakers Chart, #2 on the Alternative News Artist Chart, and was the #1 most added release at CMJ. Rolling Stone immediately called FIDLAR "a band to watch", asserting, "FIDLAR redefines the 'Golden State' skate/garage punk aesthetic for contemporary tastes." The Los Angeles Times described their sound as "Bratty, amphetamine punk rock made to soundtrack the noise of crushing cans on ones forehead." Noisey praised the band's "ever-growing catalog of readymade garage-punk classics that draw omnivorously on a half century of bad-ass pop, from Phil Spector to Nirvana to the late, great Jay Reatard." SPIN declared "These risk-taking, SoCal pop-punks unleash true sounds of liberty."

FIDLAR spent the past month playing for their biggest crowds to date, wowing audiences in Japan at the Summer Sonic Festival, Australia for Splendour In The Grass, and Reading and Leeds in the UK. Click HERE to check out the band performing "No Waves" at Reading (via BBC). While in the UK, the band's Zac Carper recorded several stripped down live sessions featuring new unreleased material. Check them all out below:

The band recently teamed up with Parks & Recreation star Nick Offerman to create one of the year's most outrageous music videos for their song "Cocaine." The video was premiered by Funny Or Die and features Offerman on a decidedly-NSFW, 40-fueled bender through Los Angeles. The video has been viewed over 300,000 times since its premiere. To watch the video, click HERE.

FIDLAR is Zac Carper on guitars and vocals, Elvis Kuehn on guitars and vocals, Brandon Schwartzel on bass, and Max Kuehn on drums. Elvis and Zac met at Kingsize Soundlabs in LA and recorded a ton of demos with the band before playing their first live show. Since forming in 2009 the band has played with The Hives, Jeff The Brotherhood, The Delta Spirit, Black Lips, OFF!, Japanther and more. Their debut self-titled full length album was released in the U.S. on January 22nd via Mom + Pop and debuted at #5 on the Billboard Heatseakers Chart, #2 on the Alternative News Aritst Chart, and was the #1 most added release at CMJ. SPIN called the album "a stellar debut", while Rolling Stone quickly named FIDLAR a "Band To Watch". Noisey praised the band's "ever-growing catalog of readymade garage-punk classics that draw omnivorously on a half century of bad-ass pop, from Phil Spector to Nirvana to the late, great Jay Reatard." NME declared them "set to be the most exciting punk band of 2013."
