Linkin Park, Thirty Seconds To Mars set to tour
From Pollstar
Linkin Park and Thirty Seconds To Mars
will join forces this summer for “The Carnivores Tour,” a 25-city
amphitheatre journey beginning in August with special guest AFI. Stops
include Tampa, Montreal, Dallas, and Los Angeles with presales launching
today, onsales later this week.
The news was revealed during a press
conference at MILK Studios in Los Angeles where Linkin park’s Chester
Bennington and Mike Shinoda joined Thirty Seconds To Mars’ Jared Leto to
discuss the upcoming road trip. The conference was streamed via VyRT.
“Carnivores is a metaphor that is meant to
convey an appetite for something visceral and substantive, and I feel
that’s exactly the hunger this tour will feed,” Shinoda said.
Of course, it would be a waste if you have
an Academy Award winner at a press conference who doesn’t provide a
quote. Leto, who was awarded an Oscar for his supporting role in
“Dallas Buyers Club,” described The Carnivores Tour as “the adventure of
a lifetime.”
