Old Rock House announces shows

The Sheepdogs
Wednesday, June 12th
Doors 7pm  Show 8pm
$12 Advance $14 Day of Show
All Ages

The Sheepdogs built their name on hard work and determination. Having funded their first three albums and early years of touring on their own, this rock and roll band’s momentum began to build exponentially with the release of the 2010 album, Learn & Burn. The band would go on to win three 2012 JUNO Awards (the Canadian equivalent of a Grammy): New Group of the Year, Single of the Year and Rock Album of the Year.  With a list of accolades this impressive band is on the brink of engaging fans on a wider scale. The Sheepdogs will do just that with the release of their new self-titled album, produced by The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney and Austin Scaggs, which will genuinely introduce them to the U.S. and beyond.

Brave Combo
Wednesday, July 3rd
Doors 7pm  Show 8pm
$13 Advance $15 Day of Show
All Ages

Trying to describe Brave Combo’s music requires a pretty extensive vocabulary – at least when it comes to musical styles.  For the past three decades the Denton, Texas based quintet has perfected a world music mix that includes salsa, meringue, rock, cumbia, conjunto, polka, zydeco, classical, cha cha, the blues and more.  They are America’s Premier Dance band and a rollicking, rocking, rhythmic global journey -- offering what one critic recently wrote, “Even if you come for the party, you'll leave with something of a musical education.”

The Revivalists
Wednesday, July 17th
Doors 7pm  Show 8pm
$10 Advance $12 Day of Show
All Ages

Since forming in 2007, The Revivalists have rightfully earned their reputation as the next breakout band from the music capital of New Orleans. The group’s blend of soulful, syncopated rock and earnest songwriting comes to life through a meticulously crafted and ever-evolving live performance. In 2011 they were named Best Emerging Artist at Gambit Magazine’s Big Easy Awards, and were nominated for Best Rock Act in 2012.
