Naomi, the fourth record from Northwestern
mystics The Cave Singers, is a totem to these things: the every-, any-, all-
ways of life. Written over the span of ten months and recorded in one, it bears
a new and more expansive production style that captures the live performance
energy the band has developed over the past five years. The disc was engineered
and produced at Avast Studios in Seattle by Phil Ek (Fleet Foxes, Built To
Spill, Shins, Modest Mouse). Each song on the album functions like a chapter in
a bigger story, addressing themes of the past, exhuming the memories under
moonlight. There are songs of addiction, car ownership, fireworks, tree houses,
moving to New Mexico, and God, each shifting in all the ways that make life
difficult and miraculous, astounding and beautiful.

That's his whole persona in a
single tiny scene: Charles Bradley, victim of love. Other artists appreciate
their audiences, just as many are grateful for them, but few artists love their fans as much and as sincerely
as Charles Bradley. By now, his remarkable, against-all-odds rise has been
well-documented – how he transcended a bleak life on the streets and struggled
through a series of ill-fitting jobs – most famously as a James Brown
impersonator at Brooklyn clubs – before finally being discovered by Daptone's
Gabe Roth. The year following the release of his debut, No Time For Dreaming, was one triumph after another: a stunning
performance at South By Southwest that earned unanimous raves;
similarly-gripping appearances at Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Newport Folk
Festival and Outside Lands (to name just a few); and spots on Year-End Best
Lists from Rolling Stone, MOJO, GQ, Paste
and more. Victim of Love,
Bradley's second record, is a continuation of that story, moving past the
'heartache and pain' and closer to the promise of hope.

Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter, Ben
Rector, from Tulsa, Oklahoma is releasing his fourth album and is embarking on
a headlining tour in 2013. Rector is no stranger to the road; he has toured
incessantly, rapidly growing a legion of fans and selling out most dates on his previous
two headline tours. This rapid growth culminated in the release of Something
Like This on September 13, 2011. The record was the #1 Singer Songwriter
album 5 minutes after its official release, and it climbed above Lil’ Wayne’s Tha
Carter IV to the #4 spot on iTunes overall album charts, bested only
by Lady Antebellum’s same-day release, Coldplay, and Adele. Following
the release of Something Like This, Rector hit the road again, opening
each night on NEEDTOBREATHE’s coast-to-coast “The Reckoning” tour. Rector
released his third album Into The Morning in February
2010, and it quickly climbed to #5 and #10 on the iTunes Pop and Overall charts
and #11 on Billboard Magazine’s Top Heatseekers chart. In
a year and a half, the record went on to sell 15,000 albums, and over 60,000
singles independently. Rector’s songs have been featured on networks such
as ABC, USA, Lifetime and MTV.
