JAKE OWEN WILL RELEASE HIS THIRD STUDIO ALBUM
BAREFOOT BLUE JEAN NIGHT ON AUGUST 30

JAKE HITS THE ROAD WITH KEITH URBAN THIS WEEKEND ON THE
GET CLOSER 2011 WORLD TOUR

Nashville, TN – RCA recording artist Jake Owen announced today that his third studio album, Barefoot Blue Jean Night, will be released on August 30.

“It is kind of ironic that my new album is being released on August 30, two days after I turn 30 and this is my third record,” says Jake. “This album is a big step for me and my career and I can’t wait for people to hear it.”

The forthcoming album includes 11 tracks, six produced by Joey Moi and Rodney Clawson and five tracks produced by Tony Brown.

The debut single, “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” is the fastest rising single of Jake’s career. It has been racing up the charts since it was released and currently holds the No. 17 position on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and is No. 16 on Country Aircheck.

“Barefoot Blue Jean Night” is currently No. 8 on the Digital Country Songs chart, selling over 44K which is up 41% from last week. To purchase the digital single, click here: http://bit.ly/dIbNWx

Jake hits the road with Keith Urban this weekend for the kick-off dates of the Get Closer 2011 World Tour, which begins on Thursday, June 16 in Biloxi, MS.

“I have always wanted to go out on the road with Keith,” says Jake. “He really inspires me as a songwriter, musician and entertainer. Keith is the real deal and one of the most amazing talents our genre has ever seen.”

“It meant the world to me that Keith called me up last week and invited me to join him on stage for a song during his set at LP Field,” reflects Jake. “Performing ‘Don’t Think I Can’t Love You’ with him was definitely a career highlight. To have Keith playing electric guitar and singing harmony with me on a song that I wrote was so awesome. Then, when the audience sang the words back to us at the top of their lungs, it was the coolest moment I have experienced in my career so far. It was surreal.”
