COUNTRY MUSIC TRIO LADY ANTEBELLUM EMERGES AS TOP WINNER
AT THE 53RD ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS WITH FIVE TROPHIES
Nashville, Tenn. - Feb. 14, 2011 - GRAMMY award winning trio Lady Antebellum ended an emotional night at the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards as the big winners, taking home five awards. The group snagged the awards forRecord of the Year, Song of the Year, Country Performance by a Duo or Group and Country Song of the Year for their smash hit “Need You Now” as well as Country Album of the Year for their triple PLATINUM NEED YOU NOW.
“We’re still just soaking it in,” said Hillary Scott. “It was a huge night, and we may even still be in shock!”
“The way the music community has embraced us is unbelievable,” continued Charles Kelley. “Being asked to perform at the GRAMMYs last year was a career highlight, and to see how that really helped set off what has become the biggest year of our lives is surreal.”
