Aerosmith Launches New Las Vegas Residency "AEROSMITH: DEUCES ARE WILD"; Rock 'n Roll Meets High-Tech For A Sold-Out Crowd At Park Theater At Park MGM Saturday, April 6
-- Aerosmith launched their Las Vegas residency, AEROSMITH: DEUCES ARE WILD, at Park Theater at the new Park MGM April 7, combining visceral rock with high technology to bring to life their incredible story of a struggling group from Boston who became America's all-time top-selling rock 'n' roll band. The sold-out audience, including celebrities Miranda Lambert and Diane Warren, were the first to see the epic production, sure to be known as the band's greatest spectacle in their stunning 50-year history.
The centerpiece of the show was the 90-minute live performance from the original Aerosmith band members - Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford and Joey Kramer - who continue to deliver one of the most cohesive and electrifying performances in music. The band goes beyond the average concert by taking fans on a deep dive of their groundbreaking career with exclusive, unreleased audio and never-before-seen visuals from Aerosmith's archives featured through a twelve screen media presentation (including a 140 ft x 40 ft high def screen) produced by Oscar and Emmy-winning global visual effects studio Pixomondo. Using cutting- edge technology, Pixomondo also brings to life Aerosmith's infamous logo - the wings - which magically unfold to herald the band's arrival on stage.
Every vantage point in the intimate Park Theater, the first THX® Certified live performance venue featuring L-Acoustics L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound, will bring fans face-to-face with the band, including the world's first THX On-Stage VIP experience and walkway that stretches from the stage to the balcony seats.
Tickets for performances of AEROSMITH: DEUCES ARE WILD through December 2019 are on sale now. Tickets starting at $75, as well as VIP packages including meet & greets, can be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets or online at ticketmaster.com/aerosmith. All shows are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
"We have spent the last year and a half bringing Aerosmith's "DEUCES ARE WILD" residency to life. The intent of the sound design, visuals, lighting and this entire experience is to be as authentically Aerosmith as the band and their fans expect while taking them both on a journey they never expected," said show producer Steve Dixon of Fireplay.
With over 230 high-performance L-Acoustics loudspeakers and nearly 300,000 Watts of power, L-ISA surrounds the audience in a sphere of sound to convey the band's stellar setlist in vibrant, hyperreal detail, wrapping fans in the ultimate 360° rock 'n' roll experience. Laurent Vaissié, L-Acoustics CEO - USA & Canada adds, "Beyond achieving unparalleled precision, power, and ultra-high spatial resolution, L-ISA is a revolutionary creative tool that allows artists to craft sound as an intimate experience true to their art, with complete freedom to paint a multidimensional soundscape in hyperreal strokes. Sound can now stretch and morph. It can dynamically travel in real time and surround fans from every direction, taking the spectator on an incomparable emotional journey. Aerosmith has defined American Rock for five decades and we're thrilled to hear L-ISA unleash its full potential for them and their devoted fans in tandem with the inspired creative vision of Amy Tinkham and Giles Martin."
THX provided independent analysis of the venue and sound system performance within the venue. As a part of the THX certification process, the technical team evaluated the L-Acoustics system design and its implementation, and verified the alignment of the acoustics systems and the seamless integration the equipment and technologies. Fans who attended the show knew they were getting a THX Certified experience when they heard the THX Deep Note trailer play. This deeply resonant chord, which people will remember hearing before any blockbuster movie in a THX Certified cinema or home theater, was remixed specifically for the immersive audio system used during the AEROSMITH: DEUCES ARE WILD residency.
In the THX On-Stage VIP section, fans will have privileged access to studio-quality audio direct from the Aerosmith mixing board via MIXhalo's audio technology through their own pair of THX® Certified 1MORE Triple Driver in-ear headphones. Expertly tuned by GRAMMY Award-winning Sound Engineer Luca Bignardi, these are the world's first headphones to be THX Certified. To become THX Certified, 1MORE's Triple Driver headphones passed hundreds of tests. The rigorous certification program ensures the headphones provide a well-balanced frequency response with minimal channel imbalance, premium level audio output and minimal distortion at the required sound pressure level, and a high degree of isolation to effectively attenuate external noise. "THX Certification assures an exceptional audio experience for headphone users," said THX Home GM & SVP Peter Vasay. "We couldn't be more excited that Aerosmith fans get to enjoy the show through the world's first THX Certified headphones. Together, 1MORE and THX continue to raise the bar for audio quality in the headphone market."
Pixomondo packs motion graphics, animations, stream of consciousness imagery, and flashback moments of the Band's colorful past, all woven together in a tapestry of visions expressing the emotions of Aerosmith's iconic fifty year road trip. Additionally, PIxomondo's 20-minute pre-show takes the audience back in time, as they're treated to the sights and sounds of the band's historic journey, beginning with Woodstock and spiraling forward to the present, complete with mind-expanding abstract imagery, and the iconic Aerosmith van. Sixty minutes, and two encores later, the graphic animated imagery culminates with an explosive visual display, as the band disappears into the massive wings for good.
Aerosmith also teamed up with veteran show director Amy Tinkham (Paul McCartney, James Taylor), show producer Steve Dixon (Guns N' Roses, Justin Timberlake) and GRAMMY Award-winning producer Giles Martin, known for creating the soundscape for The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas. Production design studio Fireplay and international visual effects studio Pixomondo, known as the visual wizards behind Game of Thrones, are also part of the creative team.

Richmond, VA (April 12, 2019): With the growling guitars and crashing drums, Brantley Gilbert’s kind of blue collar country has always thrashed a little harder, dug a little deeper and reached a little farther. Given the South Georgia native’s passion for the open road, when NASCAR was looking for artists to team with vignettes about their drivers, the CMA Song of the Year nominee was top of mind. And with Gilbert in the studio, there was plenty of great music to choose from.
Ultimately “Not Like Us,” with it's swaggering lead guitar blaze over a terse acoustic part that punched, was deemed the perfect song for NASCAR’s all-in kind of racing. As the chorus kicks in, telling all challengers their “Not like us / We’re on another level.. / Callin' yall's bluff / Show me what ya got / I'll show you that you're not like us / Wanna be, yeah, you know you wanna like us / but you're never gonna be like us...”
“We wrote this out on the road, and it’s got that feel,” Gilbert says of the song’s serious throttle. “It’s funny how everybody wants to be – like the first verse says – a big dog, but when you get right down to it, wanting and being are two different things. When you look at NASCAR, what those drivers do, there isn’t anybody in the world like’em.”
As The New York Times has written, “Mr. Gilbert comes on like a revving monster-truck engine, backed by heavy rock guitar, but there’s a slyness to his singing. Beneath his boxy exterior, there’s an active intelligence about melody and texture,” while NPR captured, “the thing that really makes much of Gilbert's music, feel as pugnacious as it does is the way that he sings... channeling stubborn small town resilience through his clenched drawl, airing aggression through his strenuous, sandpapered rasp and hinting at pent-up ferocity with surly, monosyllabic spoken asides. His performances are instantly recognizable, often confrontational and pack a punch.”
That punch will be driving a piece on 23-year old Chase Elliott. As Philip Metz, Managing Director, Entertainment Marketing & Music of NASCAR, says of the pairing, “This piece featuring Brantley Gilbert’s “Not Like Us” and NASCAR is part of our yearlong marketing campaign that tells the story of the NASCAR season through the lens of the drivers. We’re focusing on showcasing our brightest stars, the best tracks and putting it all to great music, giving fans more of what they want. This particular piece is focused on Chase Elliott and Talladega, as there’s no one better to explain to fans what they should expect to see at that track.”
After debuting Saturday, April 13 at 7:30 PM/ET as part of the “Monster Energy Cup Series Toyota Owners 400,” the piece focusing on the Dawsonville, Georgia-born driver will run through the big race at Talladega, broadcast April 28 at 2 PM on Fox. The clip will also run on all NASCAR digital and social platforms.
As Gilbert finalizes work on his upcoming project, “What Happens In A Small Town,” his wrenching duet with guitar sensation Lindsay Ell, lands at #25 with a bullet on MediaBase and leaps three spots to #23 with a bullet on Billboard. Both are produced by Dann Huff (Keith Urban, Megadeth, Midland, Kane Brown) and are available everywhere.

JAMESTOWN REVIVAL’S “HARDER WAY”
PREMIERES AT THE BLUEGRASS SITUATION
NEW ALBUM SAN ISABEL OUT JUNE 14
2019 HEADLINE TOUR CONFIRMED

Jamestown Revival’s new song, “Harder Way,” premiered yesterday at The Bluegrass Situation. Listen/share HERE. Of the track, band member Jonathan Clay shares, “This song is about feeling isolated in a room full of people. It’s about missing your three year-old son when you’re on a month-long tour. It’s about the cost of achieving your dreams and the bittersweet reality that exists throughout the journey. Its not a gripe; just a peek into our heads when the show’s over, the lights are out and we crawl back into our bunks—missing home.”
The song comes from Jamestown Revival’s highly anticipated new album, San Isabel, which will be released June 14 on Thirty Tigers. Exclusive merch bundles and other pre-orders are available here. Each digital pre-order comes with an immediate download of three album tracks: “Harder Way,” “Crazy World (Judgement Day)” and “This Too Shall Pass.” Of “This Too Shall Pass,” Rolling Stone praises, “…bright harmonies and loping guitar patterns…an optimistic track that splits the difference between modern-day Americana and old-school folk.”Watch an acoustic performance video of the song, featuring band members Clay and Zach Chance, HERE.
Co-produced by Jamestown Revival and Jamie Mefford (Nathaniel Rateliff, Gregory Alan Isakov), the album was recorded at Ward Lodge Studios overlooking the San Isabel National Forest in Buena Vista, Colorado and includes 10 new songs co-written by Clay and Chance as well as a rendition of The Mama & The Papas’ 1965 classic, “California Dreamin’.” In addition to Clay (vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, harmonica, banjo, steel guitar, bass), Chance (vocals, acoustic guitar) and Mefford (juno, acoustic guitar, banjo, background vocals), San Isabel also features Nick Bearden (bass guitar), Ed Benrock (drums, percussion, background vocals), Psyche Dunkhase (cello), John Gringsby (bass), Dan Reckard (wurlitzer, organ, piano, accordion) and Rachel Sliker (violin, viola).
Of the inspiration behind the album, Clay comments, “We wrote this record with sort of an overarching theme, which is cutting out the noise for a minute and maybe stepping away from social media, from the internet and from the complicated, busy nature of most of our lives—and focusing on existing for a minute. If this record inspires people to do a little bit of that, then we would be really happy with that result.”
In celebration of the release, the band will embark on an extensive headline tour this spring kicking off at Houston’s Heights Theatre on April 28. Additional dates include already sold-out shows at West Hollywood’s Troubadour (three nights, two sold-out), New York’s Bowery Ballroom, Boston’s Brighton Music Hall and San Francisco’s Independent as well as stops at Nashville’s Basement East, Chicago’s Lincoln Hall, Atlanta’s Terminal West, Washington D.C.’sSixth & I Historic Synagogue and Austin’s Scoot Inn among several others. Tickets are on-sale now via https://jamestownrevival.com/tour/.

The release of San Isabel follows a series of breakout years for Jamestown Revival. After meeting as teenagers in the small town of Magnolia, TX, Clay and Chance went on to self-release their debut album, Utah, in 2014 followed by their acclaimed 2016 album, The Education of a Wandering Man. Of the Austin-based pair, Consequence of Sound declares, “…one of the country’s preeminent Americana duos,” while CMT praises, “…an eclectic style of alt country for hearts who live to ramble.” Building a fan base through grassroots support, Jamestown Revival has toured relentlessly over the past four years, performing at iconic venues from the Ryman Auditorium to Red Rocks Amphitheater as well as countless festivals such as Coachella, Austin City Limits, Stagecoach, Willie Nelson’s Fourth of July Picnic and more.

“I WISH I COULD WRITE YOU A SONG”
ON TOUR THIS SPRING & SUMMER

Grammy Award winner John Paul White’s new solo album The Hurting Kind is out today onSingle Lock Records. A new video for the track “I Wish I Could Write You A Song,” premiered via CMT in celebration of the release, watch/share the video HERE.
White kicks off his U.S. tour tonight with a record release show in his hometown of Florence, AL before making stops at New York’s famed Bowery Ballroom, Washington, DC’s Union Stage, The Troubadour in Los Angeles and more. While recently testing out the new material on the road for the first time, White’s live performance received critical praise with Glide Magazine noting that “the 90-minute set left the audience shouting for more” and Americana Highways raving that “this is going to be one of those reviews that I won’t be able to capture and convey just how good it was…it truly was a special evening, one that bordered on magical.”See below for a list of dates, with additional North American performances still to be announced. Purchase tickets here, and The Hurting Kind is available here.
The Hurting Kind is already receiving extensive critical acclaim:
“[‘The Long Way Home’] is a magnificent tearjerker…White introduced the song with a boast any artistically inclined parent will understand: ‘I want to do a song for you now that I’m really happy to say makes my kids cry.’ But ‘The Long Way Home’ taps into greater universal truths than that, capturing the way even our most ambitious pursuits can feel like a mere stepping stone to the comfort of the everyday.”
“[‘My Dreams Have All Come True’ is] a lushly arranged waltz…the tremolo guitar and sweeping strings pack plenty of punch, but it’s White’s top-shelf voice—particularly his high nbotes during the chorus—that delivers the knockout blow.”
“‘The Long Way Home’ finds White doing what he’s always done best: make roots music that draws a line between melody and melancholy.”
“The triumphant lead single called ‘The Long Way Home’ honors the classic country icons that came before White as he chronicles a journey back to a loved one.”

“[‘The Long Way Home’] finds White…bolstered by acoustic
guitar and a rich, epic vocal line.”
Leading up to the sessions for The Hurting Kind, White was inspired by artists like Jim Reeves, Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison, Chet Atkins and Bill Porter. Drawing on these timeless influences, White sought out classic writers like Whisperin’ Bill Anderson and Bobby Braddock to collaborate with. “Coming out of each and every one of these situations, I got a resounding thumbs-up that I was on that right track,” says White of the collaborations. “I didn’t need anybody else’s approval after that.”
The Hurting Kind was recorded at Sun Drop Sound, White’s new home studio that he converted from an old, turn-of-the-century home in the historic district of Florence, AL, and at legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL. The record was co-produced with Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes) and features additional contributions from a core group of musicians including Jon Radford (Leigh Nash, Odessa) and Reed Watson on drums, Pat Bergeson (Chet Atkins, Emmylou Harris) on electric guitar, Jon Estes (Robyn Hitchcock, Kesha) and David Hood(Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section) on bass and Lillie Mae (Jack White) on fiddle, plus guest vocals from Lee Ann Womack and background vocals from Erin Rae and The Secret Sisters.
With The Hurting Kind, White draws on the lush, orchestrated music made in Nashville in the early 1960s, writing about overwhelming love, unraveling relationships and the fading memory of a loved one.
“I approached this album differently on the songwriting side before I ever got into the studio,” says White. “I really wanted there to be a torch song quality to it, the classic timeless quality. To not be afraid of the big note, and not be afraid of the drama.”
White grew up in tiny Loretto, Tennessee, and now lives in Florence, Alabama, not far from Muscle Shoals. He has cultivated his career in Nashville for two decades, first as a songwriter for a major publisher, then as half of The Civil Wars—a groundbreaking duo that won four Grammy Awards before disbanding in 2012. White’s collaborations include contributions to recordings by Rodney Crowell, Hiss Golden Messenger, Rosanne Cash, Jason Isbell, Candi Staton and Emmylou Harris, and production work with Lera Lynn, Lindi Ortega, Dylan LeBlanc, Penny & Sparrow and Donnie Fritts’ Oh My Goodness, which also marked White’s debut as a producer. White is also a partner in Single Lock Records, an independent record label based in Florence, Alabama.
In 2016, White released Beulah to widespread critical acclaim with Rolling Stone praising, “the strength of White’s songwriting lies in the masterful balance he strikes between character and confession.” The Hurting Kind is White’s third solo album.
