"The mash-up everyone is talking about!" (Good Morning America)

Following their critically-acclaimed European tour, STING and SHAGGY will kick off The 44/876 Tour in North America on September 14 in Jacksonville, Florida before making stops in major cities across the continent (full tour itinerary below), as announced by the Cherrytree Music Company and Live Nation. For a sneak peek of The 44/876 Tour, check out: https://bit.ly/2wKCvC6.
Hailed "one of the most anticipated concerts of the year" and "a two-hour musical melting pot," the dynamic and vibrant joint live show finds the two GRAMMY-award winning artists combining their bands to perform songs from their island-flavored album, 44/876 (A&M/Cherrytree/Interscope Records) which has spent twelve weeks atop Billboard's Reggae album chart, and collaborating on each other's most celebrated hits such as "Every Breath You Take," "Englishman In New York," "Message In A Bottle," "It Wasn't Me," "Mr. Boombastic" and "Angel."
While many of the concerts have already sold out, tickets for select cities are still available at www.ticketmaster.com and usual outlets. Every online ticket purchase includes one physical or digital copy of Sting & Shaggy's album, 44/876.

Greg Laswell
Wednesday, January 9th
Doors 7pm  Show 8pm
$15 Flat  All Ages

Okay, so what? Here’s another album about heartbreak…or heartache. But isn’t the worry that when each of us stares down heartbreak/ache (we all do) – we just want so desperately to know that as many as possible are just as miserable as we are? Misery doesn’t just need company – it needs a very specific sort of kinship. And it needs someone who can profoundly articulate it – not just rhyme a few words about some inconsiderate asshole. It’s not important to reveal the specific catalyst for Greg Laswell’s latest record, Everyone Thinks I Dodged a Bullet – but rather to focus anew on what makes him one of the most uncompromising songwriters of these modern times. You may recognize a bit of Leonard Cohen in his tormented baritone. You might think of Tom Waits when you sense how deep down in the gut these songs come from. But if there is a quality that still and ever marks out Laswell’s writing, it is an ability to use words like unrepentant paper cuts. Should you be at the receiving end, perhaps you might not at first feel the sting; but it will burn like hell later. Imagine the coldness of being the subject of such biting vitriol as, “I'm gonna be lazy when I write about you.” Imagine that you mean so much nothing to someone you once meant the world to.

RUSTON KELLY’S DYING STAR
OUT TODAY
DEBUT ALBUM RELEASED TO WIDESPREAD CRITICAL ACCLAIM
FALL HEADLINE TOUR CONFIRMED, INCLUDING BLUEBERRY HILL ST LOUIS DATE
Ruston Kelly’s highly anticipated full-length debut album, Dying Star, is out today. Purchase/stream HERE. Released on Rounder Records, Dying Star was co-produced by Kelly and Jarrad K (Kate Nash, Weezer) and features 14 songs written/co-written by Kelly.
In celebration of the release, Kelly performed his new song “Faceplant” earlier this week on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” Watch/share HERE.
Recent critical acclaim for Kelly and Dying Star

“Damn, is he good…Kelly digs down deep on Dying Star to fearlessly put forth a set of songs steeped in emotional twists, turns and complications…This here is powerful stuff.”

“…finds Kelly channeling the dark minimalism of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska
with a stark guitar-and-a-harmonica aesthetic.”

“…an emotional powerhouse…If you’ve ever had a taste for somber country songs
capable of ripping you apart, you ought to make time for Ruston Kelly’s opening blast.”

“…mesmerizingly smooth voice…”

“…a genre-defying singer-songwriter…”

“…Kelly defines modern folk-rock songwriting. It’s music with an ear-worm
melody that you can’t help but whistle along to but laced with sincere lyrics that
bare the deepest part of the singer’s soul.”

“It’s as heart-on-a-sleeve as they come. A flood of raw and intense emotions
coat Kelly’s self-deprecating ballads and late-night benders.”

Ruston Kelly is another rising star from Nashville…a must-listen.”
In support of the new album, Kelly will embark on an extensive headline tour this fall including stops at New York’s Mercury Lounge, Philadelphia’s Boot & Saddle, Atlanta’s Vinyl, Chicago’s Schubas Tavern and Los Angeles’ Hotel CafĂ© among several others. Due to high demand, a second Los Angeles show was recently added after the first quickly sold out. Tickets are on-sale now. See below for complete details.
Recorded at Sonic Ranch in El Paso, TX, Dying Star features Kelly (lead vocals, acoustic guitar, xylophone, harmonica), Jarrad K (12-string guitar, background vocals, electric guitar, Rhodes), Tim Kelly (pedal steel), Ian Fitchuk (piano, organ, drums, percussion), Eli Beaird (bass) and Kyle Ryan (banjo) as well as background vocals from Jon Green, Natalie Hemby, Kacey Musgraves, Kate York, Abby Sevigny and Joy Williams.
Of the album, Kelly comments, “A lot of my music is focused on suffering, or trying to understand the human condition through the lens of suffering…which probably sounds totally depressing, but it’s actually the flipside of that. Sometimes you’ve gotta go into that darkness—you need to get lost and then figure out for yourself how to find your way back. That’s the only way we can find pure joy, and really be thankful for the life we’ve been given.”

The release of Dying Star follows a breakout year for the Nashville-based artist, whose debut EP, Halloween, was released last April to widespread acclaim. Of the music, Rolling Stone praised, “…shows a powerful grasp on storytelling gleaned from his love of the Carter Family and Townes Van Zandt, but also a more ragged rock & roll soul: it’s Americana, if your Americana is Bruce Springsteen with an acoustic guitar, sung by someone who spins a little heavy metal too,” while the HuffPost declared, “simultaneously current and effortlessly timeless.”
Born in South Carolina, Kelly started playing guitar under the guidance of his dad, Tim “TK” Kelly, a pedal steel guitarist who now performs in his band. Since his father worked for a paper mill and often changed job locations, Kelly grew up frequently moving, living everywhere from Alabama to Belgium, including time in Michigan—where the young one-time figure skater went to train with an Olympic coach in the hope of furthering his career, and where he first began writing songs. At 17, he moved to Nashville to live with his sister and went on to land a publishing deal with BMG Nashville, placing songs with several high-profile artists.
DYING STAR TRACK LIST:
1. Cover My Tracks (written by Ruston Kelly, Jarrad K)
2. Mockingbird (written by Ruston Kelly)
3. Son Of A Highway Daughter (written by Ruston Kelly)

WILL HOGE CHAMPIONS THE
"STUPID KIDS"
ADVOCATING FOR CHANGE

NEW SINGLE "STUPID KIDS" FROM THE
FORTHCOMING ALBUM
MY AMERICAN DREAM

Out October 5 on EDLO/Thirty Tigers

Playing Off Broadway in St. Louis

Nashville singer/songwriter Will Hoge recognizes the movement of young people everywhere fighting for change on his newest track, “Stupid Kids” out today. The song is featured on Hoge’s politically-charged upcoming release MY AMERICAN DREAM, out October 5.

"Stupid Kids" is directly inspired by the Parkland students and their efforts for policy change in the wake of gun violence.

"Oh stupid kids don’t listen to what the old folks say
You’re the only ones that are ever gonna make things change
Keep your feet marching
Raise up your voice don’t quit
Keep doin’ what you’re doin’
Keep being stupid kids
Stupid kids"
Listen to Will Hoge's "Stupid Kids" and Pre-order MY AMERICAN DREAM

About the new album, Hoge says, "Silence couldn't be a part of my deal anymore.” Border police. Political corruption. Anti-intellectualism. Poverty. Gun control. A broken education system. Indifference to others' suffering. Each of these things weighed on Hoge, and he confronts them all head-on in MY AMERICAN DREAM which will come with a copy of the U.S. Constitution printed with the lyrics. The result is the fiercest, angriest, and most heartfelt collection of songs he's released. Eight songs of rabble-rousing political commentary that turns a critical eye on the crisis of conscience and culture threatening to tear apart his country, the album is Hoge's impassioned portrait of what he holds dear — and what we all might risk losing.

Rolling Stone Country has been supportive of Hoge and the two tracks that have been released thus far, “Thoughts & Prayers” and “Gilded Walls.”  The "Thoughts & Prayers" video is devastating, as it shows politicians’ hollow tweets in the wake of gun violence.  "Gilded Walls" touches on climate change, the Flint water crisis and school shootings.  In addition to writing and performing, Hoge is also an avid activist, lending his time and resources to raise awareness and money for the Believe in Service PAC, Everytown for Gun Safety and the Karl Dean for Governor campaign in TN.

Hoge's MY AMERICAN DREAM tour starts September 18th in Washington D.C. Prior to that, he will perform at the prestigious Americana Music Festival from September 11 - 15. In October he joins Social Distortion for a U.S. run. A UK tour with Lucero is planned as well. A full list of tour dates are below and at www.willhoge.com.

Hoge’s acclaimed 2001 debut Carousel established himself as a masterful songwriter, performer and critical favorite. Rolling Stone compared him to Bob Seger and John Mellencamp, while NPR praised his “sharp, smart, passionate rock ‘n’ roll that seems to exist out of time.” My American Dream is the follow-up to Hoge’s 2017 album Anchors.

Heavy Rockers AUDIOTOPSY Reveal Grooving New Track "What Am I?"

Listen Now via Guitar World

New Album, The Real Now, out November 2 via Megaforce Records | Pre-Order via Amazon

Featuring Greg Tribbett and Matthew McDonough of Mudvayne

AUDIOTOPSY, the American heavy rock quartet featuring the deft musical talents of guitarist Greg Tribbett and drummer Matt McDonough - both of Grammy-nominated metal band Mudvayne - as well as Billy Keeton of Skrape and bassist Perry Stern, will release their second full-length release, The Real Now͟, on November 2, 2018 via Megaforce Records. Self-produced with vocal production and mixing completed by Dave Fortman (Evanescence, Slipknot, Mudvayne), The Real Now is available for pre-order now via Amazon, and will be available via more digital retailers very soon.

Today, the band is pleased to reveal the first single cut from The Real Now͟, the grooving "What Am I?", via Guitar World. Listen here: https://www.guitarworld.com/news/audiotopsy-premiere-new-single-what-am-i

Guitarist Greg Tribbett says about the track: "'What Am I?' touches upon finding yourself and the true meaning of life. Life is ever-changing and you never know what is around the corner. Musically, I really wanted to concentrate on single note riffs in the verses. Something easy but mesmerizing. Then to a wide-open chorus. The bridge is single-noted as well with underlying picking patterns leaving room for vocal melodies."

"This record is really well rounded with the AUDIOTOPSY sound. There are very cool atmospheric vibes as well as old school metal riffs! Enjoy."

He adds information regarding the guitars used on the album: "The guitars on this album were recorded at Valve Studios in Dallas. I used my Legator Guitars along with a Mesa Dual Rectifier and an Egnator Armageddon Head. This is a combined sound you will hear. Also used DR Strings for that crisp attack. I tried something different on this record and tuned down to A for all the songs. Low aggressive vibe."

Featuring both fast-paced headbangers and melodic, grooving anthems, The Real Now conjures nostalgic turn-of-the-century alt-metal influences while never sacrificing crystal clean, modern metallic drive and swagger. Heart-clenching vocals and unforgettable guitar riffs grip the listener from track one. Tracks like "Panic On The Airwaves" and "What Am I?" summon deep, numbing grooves while driving anthems like "Hologram" feature non-stop power rhythms and energy. No AUDIOTOPSY release would be complete without a melodic climax, which comes in the form of the chill-inspiring track "Hurt Down".

The Real Now track listing:
1)      War
2)      Hologram
3)      Panic on the Airwaves
4)      Fade Away
5)      Hurt Down
6)      What Am I?
7)      If Only
8)      A Death Benefit

AUDIOTOPSY began writing together in 2014 with the goal of setting themselves apart with their songwriting and dynamic presentation. Upon quickly recognizing the chemistry, they began the journey of recording their debut album, Natural Causes. Metal Injection praised the album's energy, describing it as "remarkable", while Metal Wani called it "a welcome surprise to the metal scene" and New Noise Magazine dubbed it "an artfully inspired rock and metal mixture". The Real Now builds upon that praise, and then some.

Stay tuned for more news coming soon regarding The Real Now.

21-year-old singer-songwriter Madison Cunningham’s new track “Last Boat To Freedom” is premiering now at Billboard. The track debuts alongside an exclusive interview with Cunningham. Read Billboard’s exclusive interview with Cunningham and listen/share the track HERE.
Cunningham is currently in the midst of her tour supporting Punch Brothers for the entirety of their 34-stop tour across North America. See below for a complete list of remaining dates.
Cunningham recently signed to Verve Forecast and is currently recording her debut full-length LP. She has previously performed as a duet partner with Punch Brothers’ Chris Thile on APM’s Live From Here”, and is a regular performer on the show. Her new music follows the release of last year's debut EP, Love, Lose, Remember.
The Orange County, CA-native first picked up a guitar at age seven, and by age twelve was singing and performing alongside her five siblings in church. By the age of fifteen, Cunningham realized songwriting was a passion she wanted to pursue, citing Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan as key inspirations. “It’d always been a hobby before, but around then, I realized I wanted to make it a religious practice,” she says, “I thought if I could capture some of their same spirit ever in my life, I’d have to work hard and every day.”
