Rascal Flatts to Premiere New Music Video for “Changed” on Good Morning America Tomorrow

NASHVILLE, TN  (April 2, 2013) —Country supergroup Rascal Flatts announced today that Good Morning America (ABC) will premiere a portion of the new music video for their current critically-acclaimed single, “Changed” on Wednesday, April 3.  The video will air during the 8 AM hour on the No. 1 rated morning show in America.  The video features actor Charles (Chip) Esten, who also stars as “Deacon Claybourne” on ABC’s hit series “NASHVILLE.”

“Changed” is the title track and third single from Flatts’ latest Big Machine Records studio album.  The song is currently Top 20 and rising on the Country radio charts.

In regards to “Changed,” the New York Times said, “it’s a king-size song about modesty and rebaptism.” USA Today expressed “LeVox sings baptism song Changed with charismatic fervor.” And the Associated Press wrote “The title song strips the band's sound down to an earthier core, displaying how rich their harmonies have become.”

“This video treatment best captures the emotion and depth of the lyrics. It tells the story of a man on the brink of despair, who is ultimately saved by the ones around him, who love him the most. In that, he finds the strength to forgive himself,” said Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus.

Rascal Flatts are fans of “NASHVILLE” and that’s where they got the idea to have Esten star in the video.

“Chip is the consummate pro. He believed in the song and the message and wanted to be a part of it. We thought it would be a long shot to get him now that he's on the huge television show "Nashville" but in the end, after we black-mailed him, he agreed to do it. Seriously, it is an honor to have Chip, and all that he brings to the table attached to this very important video,” said DeMarcus.

The video will be available for viewing in its entirety on ABCNews.com after it appears on GMA. Beginning at 12 PM Eastern on April 3, the video will be available at Vevo.com. The video can be viewed everywhere on April 4.

Nashville, TN - Republic Nashville sibling trio The Band Perry gave a special performance in their hometown of Greeneville, TN, debuting new music from their sophomore album, PIONEER. An estimated crowd of 25,000 took to the streets of the small mountain town to see the famous residents and a chance meeting in the autograph line that stretched nearly a mile down Main Street.  Their new CD, PIONEER, which releases today,  has already hit #1 on the iTunes Country chart!

The history-making crowd boasted approximately 15,000 out of town visitors, who made their way to see "their" band. With an invitation from The Band Perry, via Twitter (can we hyperlink to the tweet?), fans came from all over -- from Florida, Iowa, Texas and even Canada.

The event, which was presented by the Greene County Partnership and sponsored by General Mills and Outnumber Hunger, is believed to be the largest in recorded history in the East Tennessee town.  The Band Perry is among the pioneers putting this quaint town on the map and they were aptly recognized with a Proclamation honoring them, signed by Governor Bill Haslam and presented by State Representative David Hawk.

  

"We are so humbled by the show of support from our hometown, as well as our fans that traveled so many miles - and our neighbors just down the street - to see the show! We had a great time signing CDs for everyone who braved the crisp night air waiting to meet us and say hello. NEW YORK,  --  Judas Priest , the heavy metal legends whose influence on generations of musicians and metalheads is incalculable, celebrate their 40^th year as recording artists this year with the release of the live concert EPITAPH .  A unique live career retrospective, EPITAPH will be released on Blu-ray and separate DVD on May 28 ^th through Legacy Recordings, a division of SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT.  This release precedes a new studio album by Judas Priest which the band are working on now.

Judas Priest's current lineup comprises lead singer Rob Halford, lead guitarists Glenn Tipton and Richie Faulkner, bassist Ian Hill, and drummer Scott Travis.
Heavy metal historians will regard EPITAPH as the most far-reaching live concert recording in the band's career.  The set revisits the climactic closing date of the 50-week "Epitaph World Tour," captured live at London's HMV Hammersmith Apollo on May 26, 2012.  Adding to the drama is the fact that this was Judas Priest's final large-scale world tour ever.  EPITAPH 's 23 tracks represent at least one song from every one of the band's 14 studio albums, from 1974's Rocka Rolla ("Never Satisfied") to 2008's Nostradamus ("Prophecy").
In the special case of British Steel , four songs are featured: "Rapid Fire," "Metal Gods," "Breaking The Law," and perennial set closer, "Living After Midnight."  Others exempted from the one-song-quota are the LPs which appeared before and after British Steel .  The first of these is 1979's Hell Bent For Leather (UK title: Killing Machine ) which lends the title song as well as "The Green Manalishi (With The Two-Pronged Crown)." The other LP is 1982's Screaming For Vengeance , source of "The Hellion," "Electric Eye," and "You've Got Another Thing Coming."
"They have epitomized the genre with their Harley riding frontman, rapid-fire guitar assaults, and spectacular stage shows," wrote journalist Bryan Reesman in his liner notes for 2004's leather-bound, metal-spiked Metalogy box set.  "Influential, innovative, and exuberant in expression," he wrote, "they are the true Metal Gods who have been as unwavering in their desire to expand the boundaries of their music as they have been in crossing international borders to deliver it to their disciples."

Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson Announces the 

THICK AS A BRICK Tour in 2013

Ian's new album, THICK AS A BRICK 2 (TAAB2) also features David, John, Scott, and Florian. It was produced by Ian Anderson and mixed by Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson (who also re-mixed Jethro Tull's AQUALUNG-Special Edition, released this past fall.)

TAAB2 answers the question 40 years later, whatever happened to Gerald Bostock (the person credited with writing the lyrics for THICK AS A BRICK, which hit number one on the US Billboard Pop Albums chart. With the first THICK AS A BRICK, Jethro Tull broadened rock beyond the limitations of the short song format).  Ian Anderson says  “Part two” gave him a chance to wonder, “how we baby-boomers look back on our own lives, and often feel an occasional 'what-if' moment. Might we, like Gerald, have become instead preacher, soldier, down-and-out, shopkeeper or finance tycoon?”

Since 1972, the original THICK AS A BRICK has never been performed in its entirety although a few minutes of the material have been a regular repertoire staple in both Tull and IA solo shows over the years.

Continuing a Honda Civic Tour tradition, Honda will present fans with an opportunity to check out one-of-a-kind vehicles that have been customized and autographed by the headlining bands. Maroon 5’s vehicle will be on display at each tour stop.
