Get ready for THE HU, a band that are unlike any other rock band in the world.

The Mongolian rock band and worldwide online sensation bringing eastern traditions to western rock will release their debut album, THE GEREG,September 13 on E7M (Eleven Seven Music) and headline a three-monthNorth American tour September 11-December 7. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 19 at 10 AM Local Timeat www.thehuofficial.com

Coming off a sold-out 23-date European summer tour throughout June and July, including six UK dates, the four-piece band combines traditional Mongolian instruments with modern American hard rock to create their own style of music they call "hunnu rock," which derives from "HU," the Mongolian root word for human beings. This unique sound blends heavy rock elements with traditional Mongolian guttural throat singing, accentuated by lyrics reflecting old Mongolian war cries and poetry. The word "gereg" in their debut album's title was used as the first diplomatic "password" by the Mongol empire during the time of Genghis Khan.

You can watch the band's EPK HERE.

THE HU was founded in 2016 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia by their producerDashka, along with band members Gala, Jaya, Temka, and Enkush. Together they create rock music with traditional Mongolian instrumentation such as the Morin Khuur (horsehead fiddle), Tovshuur (Mongolian guitar), Tumur Khuur (jaw harp), guttural throat singing built around the pillars of heavy rock: distorted guitars, bombastic drums, and aggressive rhythms. THE HU became an online sensation when they released music videos for "Wolf Totem" and "Yuve Yuve Yu" in December 2018, racking up a combined 34 million views to date. They re-released the singles on March 29, generating incredible global recognition across the globe. The track "Wolf Totem" reached Top 5 on the iTunes Rock Chartand achieved the #1 position in 19 different countries, while "Yuve Yuve Yu"reached #2 on the iTunes Rock Chart in 11 different countries. Both tracks are available digitally HERE.

In April, the band were offered Official Mongolian Ambassador to the Worldby the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Mongolia, while he congratulated them on their success.

The band's inaugural performance as The HU was in June 2019 in their hometown, followed by their first headlining European and UK tour this past June and July. The band also debuted this summer on several major festivals including in Download Festival, Rock Am Park and more. On stage the foursomeexpands to an eight-piece group to create an enveloping wall of sound.

"We couldn't be more excited to join the amazing team at E7M," says THE HUabout their signing to E7M (Eleven Seven Music), home to Mötley Crüe, Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach and Nothing More. "The passion they have for The HU can be felt from New York to Mongolia and we're excited to do great things together."

Eleven Seven's COO Steve Kline said about the signing, "Eleven Seven is continuously searching for unique and talented artists. The Hu's mix of traditional Mongolian instrumentation and original brand of rock is unlike any other band. From first listen, we were immediately blown away. The Hu are about to take the world by storm, and we could not be more excited to welcome them to the Eleven Seven family!"

Early Critical Praise:

"[The HU] are not just taking elements from Western music... Instead, they're using some of these elements and making their own authentic music. So it's not rock music performed by Mongolians. It's Mongolian rock music."

"You know when you find an artist you're so enraptured and excited about that you want to tell anyone and everyone who'll listen about them? That's how I feel right now about The HU."

"Hunnu rock has undoubtedly captured a global audience, spreading their transcultural sound across borders."

9ELECTRIC Release Debut Full Length Album
"The Damaged Ones"
On Tour Now w/Gemini Syndrome and Stitched Up Heart

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
JULY 15, 2016

Hollywood based Electronic Rock outfit 9ELECTRIC has released their debut full length album, The Damaged Ones, today (July 15th) via Another Century Records. In support of the new album, the band is currently on the road for a two month long tour alongside labelmates Gemini Syndrome and Stitched Up Heart, which will see the three bands play throughout the states.

Speaking about the release of The Damaged Ones, Ron Thunderwood (vocals) states, "This album is the culmination of five insane years of touring and inspiration, captured and converted into a tiny stereo waveform for your entertainment. A sound wrought in real broken bones, broken hearts and victories. This is 9E's first official statement - our treatise on the human condition. We Are The Damaged Ones!"

9ELECTRIC frontman Ron "Thunderwood" will also be conducting phone interviews this coming Wednesday (July 20th) between 1-4pm CST. If you wish to schedule a time to speak with him, please reach out to David McDonald at Another Century. A full stream of THE DAMAGED ONES on YouTube is available via the link below. Any other needed assets are available upon request.

The Damaged Ones is 9ELECTRIC setting their conviction to music. It is not a placebo intended to placate the masses, it is intense group therapy for the band and their fans. "The album describes the human condition - no one is truly safe, because at some point we're all damaged," says Thunderwood, bassist Casey DC adding, "the song itself - the album's title track - is about the process of becoming damaged and how it leads to being socially ostracized, a common feeling amongst bands and fans. This has been a theme in rock music for decades, and this song is about how we band together and become part of the rock scene as opposed to the mainstream."

From the opening declaration that "we are the damaged ones...", we are met with a thunderous resolve that doesn't falter throughout the album's 12 tracks. "The Damaged Ones," "Little Things" and "Beautiful" represent the band at their emotional best, with "New God," "Naked" and "Lies" fulfilling our more carnal desires. Guitars lay the foundation, and subtle layers of electronics propel the album to heights of sheer sonic splendor, transforming the listening experience into an aerobic exercise. "Take It Away" sprints from start to finish in a neon wash, while "More More" explodes like a supernova, according to Thunderwood, driven by its "pummeling, knuckle-dragging beat, and the snidest burns I've ever dished out on vocals."

 UME'S MONUMENTS OUT TODAY

BAND TO APPEAR NEXT WEEK AT
SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST FOLLOWED BY HEADLINING U.S. TOUR

PURCHASE | STREAM MONUMENTS
LOS ANGELES, CA - MARCH 4, 2014 - Monuments, the new album by Austin trio Ume is available everywhere today via Dangerbird Records. The album is the follow up to the group's heralded debuted full-length album Phantoms and can be purchased now at www.umemusic.com or at iTunes HERE. Monuments was recorded in Seattle, WA at Robert Lang Studios and produced by Grammy® Award winning producer Adam Kasper (Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Cat Power).

In celebration of the release, Ume will perform a special in-store performance at Waterloo Records this Friday, March 7th in their hometown of Austin, TX. Next week Ume will appear at South By Southwest before hitting the road for a headlining U.S. tour in support of the new release. See below for a complete list of dates. To purchase tickets now, click HERE.

Hailing from Austin, Texas, Ume is Lauren Larson (Vocals, Guitar), Eric Larson (Bass), and Rachel Fuhrer (Drums) and rarely is the platform for women in rock updated as authoritatively as its been done with this band. The trio's music is one of beautiful juxtapositions: the loud and soft, the aggressive and eerie, buoyant melodies bursting through wall-of-noise dissonance. Ume explores the artier, heavier side of indie rock, post-punk, and alternative rock and have already garnered the attention of Nylon, who declared, "This band is ready to break out in a whole new way... A little like fuzzy shoegaze, raw garage rock and irresistible pop all rolled into one fiery package," while Village Voice proclaimed "Ume immediately won me over with their raucous bursts of guitar-driven art rock, with front woman Lauren Larson threatening to take the whole thing off the rails with the abuse of her guitar strings. Still, underneath this Ume possesses an air of intelligence and depth rare in a genre known primarily for its copious drug use. When it comes to art, psychedelia, and rock and roll, it doesn't get much better.

Ume has conquered audiences across the country as a result of their momentous live show and toured over 150 dates in support of their prior release. They've supported ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Warpaint, The Smashing Pumpkins, Franz Ferdinand, Helmet, and Cursive, and were personally invited to open for Jane's Addiction at a Lollapalooza afterparty by Perry Ferrell last year. The band also appeared on the 2012 Season Premiere of Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, sharing their insight on local Austin food during Bourdain's visit to SXSW.
