To celebrate the release of Big Mess, Grouplove took to the airwaves earlier this week to perform the album's lead single "Welcome To Your Life". Watch their performance of the song on CBS's The Late Show with Stephen Colbert HERE and NBC's TODAY HERE. Next week, the band will return to late night television to perform the track on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Tuesday, September 13. Recorded in Los Angeles and Seattle with producers Captain Cuts (Grouplove's own Ryan Rabin) and Phil Ek (Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses, The Shins), Big Mess features the signature choruses and infectious hooks that first brought the Los Angeles quintet to prominence. No stranger to the worldwide festival circuit, Grouplove has made an album that showcases their richly narrated songs.
This afternoon, Grouplove will kick off The Big Mess Around NY & LA. The band will perform a marathon three shows in one day today in New York City and Wednesday, September 14th in Los Angeles. Later today, Grouplove will perform in Washington Square Park at 1:00pm, Rough Trade NYC at 7:00pm, and Baby's All Right at 9:00pm. The band has already revealed an intimate record store performance at Amoeba Music in LA at 6:00pm on September 14th. Fans who purchase the album at the store will receive guaranteed admission to the show + a limited-edition poster. Stay tuned for more information from The Big Mess Around LA.

Grouplove is currently hosting a fan-generated music video contest through Genero.tv. The band will select its favorite submission for each track on the album and reward $3,000 to each of the 11 winners. Fans can submit their music videos for HERE.

Grouplove was honored by the Recording Industry Association of America earlier this summer when tracks "Colours" and "Ways To Go" were both certified as Gold Digital Singles for exceeding 500,000 units sold. Grouplove was previously honored by the RIAA when their breakout single "Tongue Tied" was certified platinum for exceeding 1,000,000 units sold.

This fall, Grouplove will embark on their Big Mess World Tour. One dollar for every ticket sold will be donated to the organization charity: water to help fund water projects like drilled wells, spring protections, and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to communities around the world. Grouplove first came together in 2009 and were quickly hailed for their standout live performances, both as headliners and at such international festivals as Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Reading + Leeds Festivals, and Glastonbury.  A year after releasing a self-titled EP in 2010, the band returned with their debut full length "NEVER TRUST A HAPPY SONG" featuring a trio of breakout singles - "Colours," "Itchin' On A Photograph," and the RIAA-certified platinum hit "Tongue Tied" which spent 3 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Alternative radio chart. The quintet's second full length album - 2013's "SPREADING RUMOURS" - was met with a raft of acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone, USA Today, Entertainment Weekly, Los Angeles Times, NYLON, and National Public Radio who called it "ludicrously easy to love."  As with all of Grouplove's recorded material, the collection was produced by the band's own Ryan Rabin, and was highlighted by singles "Ways To Go" and "Shark Attack."  In 2014, Grouplove contributed the original song "Let Me In" to  "The Fault in Our Stars - Music From the Motion Picture," the musical companion to the blockbuster film based on The New York Times bestseller. That same year, the band was tapped to create the theme song to the Netflix Original Series "BoJack Horseman." Last year, vocalist/keyboardist Hannah Hooper collaborated with Volcom for a Lady Grouplove capsule collection of clothing inspired by her personal style and artwork.

Grouplove is: Christian Zucconi (vocals, guitar), Hannah Hooper (vocals, keys), Andrew Wessen (guitar, vocals), Ryan Rabin (drums), and Daniel Gleason (bass).

SWMRS TO MAKE NETWORK TELEVISION DEBUT TONIGHT ON THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN

Credit: Alice Baxley

OAKLAND, CA - July 18, 2016 - Bay Area quartet SWMRS will make their network television debut tonight on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Tune in to CBS at 12:37/11:37 C to watch the band perform "Figuring It Out" off of their debut album Drive North.

Praised for "defining the sound of now" in Rolling Stone's Best New Artists 2016 feature, SWMRS released their debut album Drive North in February via their own Uncool Records. Produced by FIDLAR frontman, Zac Carper, the album is available now HERE. Noisey announced the release and premiered "Figuring It Out" praising the track as a "poppy foot-tapper filled with skate-gang vocals." Nylon premiered the band's video for the track, which was directed by fellow Bay Area artist Kreayshawn. Watch it HERE.

Drive North also features the band's debut single "Miley" which i-D Magazine premiered last fall, hailing the song as "the most punk tribute to Miley Cyrus ever." The band's DIY music video for the track can be seen HERE. Album opener, "Harry Dean" is an abridged version of a previously 17-minute epic the band originally recorded to soundtrack Saint Laurent Paris's Spring/Summer 2016 presentation, earning them praise from fashion heavyweights like WWD and Interview Magazine.

SWMRS recently sat down with Zane Lowe for an exclusive interview on his Apple Music Beats 1 show. Listen to the band discuss demos and early recordings with Lowe HERE. The band also joined Annie Mac for an interview and in-studio performance on her BBC Radio 1 show, delivering an unforgettable cover of  M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes". Listen HERE. SWMRS recently made their European television debut, performing "Figuring It Out" on Canal +'s Le Petit Journal. Watch the clip HERE.

This fall, SWMRS will provide direct support to FIDLAR on their upcoming US Tour. The "Too Much Tour" will kick off on October 28 in San Diego, CA and wrap on November 22 in Denver, CO. Prior to hitting the road in the US with FIDLAR, SWMRS will embark on a UK/European tour that will include appearances at Reading and Leeds. A complete list of upcoming tour dates can be found HERE.

There's never been a punk band like SWMRS, the Oakland quartet that combines the caustic broadsides of The Clash, the amphetamine bubblegum of the Ramones, and the searing lyrics, propulsive energy, and raw honesty of Public Enemy, Frank Ocean, A Tribe Called Quest and Kurt Cobain. Formed after the dissolution of their previous band, Emily's Army, the childhood friends (Cole Becker, lead vocals, rhythm guitar; Max Becker, lead vocals, lead guitar; Joey Armstrong, drums, backing vocals; and Sebastian Mueller, bass, backing vocals) showcase telepathic chemistry on their formal debut, "Drive North." Produced by Zac Carper of FIDLAR, it's suffused with coming of age jams, subversive anthems to Miley Cyrus, and a sense of freedom forged out of modern-day confusion. The guitars draw blood, the drums detonate, the voice is unique-the sound is timeless.

Royal Blood is 24 year-old vocalist/bassist Mike Kerr and 27 year-old drummer Ben Thatcher. The duo's sound is a result of a lineage that stretches from present day heroes Queens of the Stone Age to the influential Led Zeppelin, and all the way back to early blues pioneers... yet this huge wall of sound emerges from just two men and two instruments. The band's ferocious approach to the drums and bass have led them to be hailed as one of the most exciting forces in live music. Entertainment Weekly praised the band's "muscle-car riffs and bluesy snarls", while Rolling Stone proclaimed "the band is surely well on its way to becoming a household name." Pitchfork noted the band's "crushing, contorted groove" and "telepathic sense of connectivity". USA Today declared them "the biggest breakouts in rock this year."
