OPENS UP THEIR “BECAUSE WE CAN – THE TOUR” PRODUCTION
TO LOCAL COLLEGE STUDENTS
AT SCOTTRADE CENTER CONCERT IN ST. LOUIS

Principia College Chosen to Spend the Day Getting a Behind-the-Scenes Glimpse into the
World of Entertainment and Touring
 
St. Louis, MO - In the spirit of Bon Jovi’s commitment to community, the band has opened up their 2013 tour production to local college students through the “Bon Jovi ‘Because We Can’ Community Service College Campaign.” Selected based on their exemplary volunteer efforts and community leadership skills, several students from St. Louis University, Southern Illinois University—Edwardsville (SIUE) and Principia College will gain hands-on experience in different areas of tour production when the “BON JOVI Because We Can – The Tour” stops at Scottrade Center on Wednesday, March 13.  The students will work closely with Bon Jovi tour management & production teams to learn the ins and outs of what it takes to put together a major tour production; and the students will have the chance to see all the pieces come together as the band take the stage for the show that night.
 
Fans at the show will experience an unforgettable night of chart-topping hits, as well as the live debut of new tracks from Bon Jovi’s upcoming album WHAT ABOUT NOW, to be released Tuesday, March 12th on Island Records. The album's first single, “Because We Can,” was the biggest single launch in the iTunes era of the band’s storied career, and the track’s video can be viewed here. The album cover for WHAT ABOUT NOW has also unleashed an exciting and unprecedented interactive experience for fans via the free Bon Jovi App.  Open the Bon Jovi app, click on Augmented Reality and point your phone at the WHAT ABOUT NOW artwork wherever it appears, and you will see the album artwork come to life before your eyes.

WHAT ABOUT NOW  will feature an original  Jon Bon Jovi  song, "Not Running Anymore" from the new Lionsgate motion picture Stand Up Guys.  The song has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.  This is Jon's second nomination, after he first won the Golden Globe in 1990, for "Blaze of Glory" from Young Guns II.  The Golden Globe Awards ceremony will be telecast live this Sunday, January 13th at 5:00 p.m. PT/8:00 p.m. ET on NBC.

November 20, 2012 – As Bon Jovi gears up for a monumental year, the all-American rock icons have announced the first set of U.S. dates, taking them from coast to coast on their “BON JOVI Because We Can – The Tour.”  The tour will kick off in Uncasville, CT on February 9, treating fans to one-night-only performances in U.S. arenas nationwide, plus multiple stadium shows including a two-night stand at MetLife Stadium in the band’s home state of New Jersey.

Overwhelming demand for the band’s previously announced Canadian dates has already led to second shows in Montreal and Toronto, and Bon Jovi has plenty more in store. The band will expand their current tour schedule with additional North American dates including Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA; Ford Field in Detroit, MI, and many more.
