KENNY CHESNEY PACKS UP THE TRUCKS Rehearsals for Intimate Songs for the Saints 2019 Tour Are Done Look for Take-It-To-The-People Kick-Off April 4 in Louisville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Kenny Chesney, the eight-time Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, wrapped rehearsals for his Songs for the Saints 2019 Tour – and watched as the breakdown and loadout began. Having once again played to well over a million people in 2018 – topping the million mark in Boston alone after his 18th show at Foxborough’s storied Gillette Stadium – the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar made the decision to take the music to the fans living in markets where stadium shows are not always an option. “Growing up outside of Knoxville, I remember the tours that didn’t come near us,” Chesney says. “You’d hear about them, read about them – and even dream about them. But if it wasn’t playing the Knoxville Civic, well, it wasn’t something we could get to.” With a focus on arena plays – and a few festivals where he has history – the man the Los Angeles Times called “The People’s Superstar” is scaling his massive stadium-sized shows back to bring them inside. Just don’t expect the setlist or the energy to shrink. “One of the things I wanted to make sure,” allows the man who’s the only country act in Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years, “is that even if we’re in a more contained space, the No Shoes Nation is going to get the same impact, the same energy, the same feeling that the people coming to the stadiums experience. Lionel Richie takes fans on a spectacular musical journey with his new album, Live from Las Vegas. The collection, set for release on August 23, marks the legendary artist’s first release on Capitol Records. See below for track listings.

Richie will launch the Hello tour on May 28 at Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land, TX. He’ll be playing all the hits during the headline outing, which includes shows at Radio City Music Hall in New York City and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. All online tickets purchased for the summer 2019 North American headline tour will include a CD copy of Richie’s new album, Live from Las Vegas. VIP packages will also be available.

The album Live from Las Vegas wasrecorded at Zappos Theater at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. It features Richie performing material from throughout his career, including beloved songs from his solo albums (“All Night Long,” “Say You, Say Me,” “Hello,” “Dancing On The Ceiling” and “Truly”) and his time with The Commodores, where he developed a groundbreaking style that defied genre categories, penning smash hits such as “Three Times a Lady” and “Easy.” The album also includes an inspiring performance of the landmark song “We Are the World,” which Richie co-wrote for USA for Africa.

About Jon Langston   Loganville, GA native, singer-songwriter Jon Langston grew up on music like his heroes Alan Jackson and the Eagles. And once multiple concussions ended his Division I football career, he worked to develop his own style and sound while drawing from that variety of influences.
