Multi-platinum, award-winning singer/songwriter/producer, Deana Carter is set to release her first project in over 7 years. Carter is excited to announce that the project will be the debut release on her newly launched Little Nugget Records, a label she has opened in dedication to her father’s, Fred Carter, Nugget Records, a staple in Music City for many years.
Carter captures the essence of life’s up and downs, triumphs, deceptions, celibacy, love, and the Southern Way of Life in the way only a confident and honest artist can OnSouthern Way of Life¸ Carter collaborates with noted singer/songwriter chart topping artists Kasey Musgraves, Kimberly Perry (The Band Perry), Tyler Hilton, as well as some of today’s top tunesmiths.
Last year, she received numerous nominations, including a Grammy, CMA and ACM nod for the co-penned “You and Tequila” as recorded by Kenny Chesney and Grace Potter. On the flip side of this success came an awful car wreck which left her having to have spine surgery earlier this year which involved the surgeon to move her vocal box in order to perform the surgery. Thankfully, the outcome was a successful one and Carter is singing like a bird.
