Los Angeles, CA - April 16, 2012 - Dispatch, one of the most successful independent rock bands, today announced they would release Circles Around The Sun,
their first studio album in twelve years on August 21st on their own
Bomber Records. Produced by Peter Katis (Interpol, Jonsi, The
National), Circles Around The Sun is an eclectic all-American rock and roll record that delivers the
gutsy storytelling, compelling songwriting and radian harmonies that
has earned the band fans throughout countless countries. It was recorded at The Clubhouse (Rhinebeck, NY), Water Music (Hoboken, NJ), and Tarquin Studios (Bridgeport, CT).
Dispatch
will perform this summer at Bonnaroo, Hangout and Outside Lands
festivals and starting September 20th the band will embark upon the
Circles Around The Sun Tour, its most extensive North American tour in
over a decade. The list of tour dates can be found below. In an

Dispatch
has always been a band that has stood up and rallied its fans behind
causes that challenge the status quo. This time out the band will
donate $1 from every concert ticket sold on the Circles Around The Sun
Tour to its Amplifying Education initiative. Over the last year,
Dispatch's Amplifying Education campaign has engaged over 700 fan
volunteers in nearly 4,000 hours of service to improve schools across
North American and Europe; collected over 10,000 book donations to
support local literacy programs through Better World Books; and raised
over $250,000 through a portion of ticket sales, benefit shows, and
fan-to-fan outreach at shows to support local education programs like
City Year and Teach for America. Dispatch fans are also encouraged to

ABOUT DISPATCH
Dispatch
is Chad Stokes, Brad Corrigan, and Pete Francis. After forming in New
England in 1996 and through intense word of mouth and fan loyalty,
Dispatch went on to become one of the biggest draws on the live music
scene, and arguably one of the biggest independent rock bands in
History. The band released their debut album in 1996, an
acoustic-driven folk-pop affair called Silent Steeples, on their own Bomber Records followed by 1998's reggae-flavored Bang Bang. In 1999 the band released their third album Four Day Trials.
After a brief hiatus during which various members pursued solo
endeavors, in 2004 the group organized a free show in Boston on the
Esplanade, anticipating perhaps 20,000 people would turn up. The concert
became the largest show in independent music event history (documented
in the feature film The Last Dispatch). In 2011 the trio decided to record new music, which led to last year's Dispatch EP and now Circles Around The Sun.
