Hank Williams Jr's New Single "Keep The Change" Logs Nearly 150,000 Free Downloads In A Little Over 24 Hours

Bill Maher, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Sean Hannity, Alan Colmes and Glenn Beck all show support for Hank Jr

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Hank Williams Jr released a new single "Keep The Change" to his fans yesterday, and close to 150,000 have responded in just over 24 hours. Fans, friends and media are all downloading the free song, which has received placement on such notable websites as Hannity.com, Alan.com (Alan Colmes), KidRock.com, countless radio stations and many others.
"Artists have launched tens of thousands of email-for-download campaigns but Hank's 'Keep The Change' is the fastest growing campaign we've ever seen!" - Ian C. Rogers, CEO, Topspin.
Hank discussed the popularity of the song on ABC's The View today, where he was questioned about last week's now-famous controversial remarks from Fox & Friends. Those comments resulted in ESPN pulling his musical intro to their Monday's football telecasts. Left-leaning hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar of The View, Jon Stewart of The Daily Show, and Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh from the other side of the political landscape all came to his defense last Monday.
"Hank has always been provocative ... and said provocative things," said Whoopi. "What kind of standards are we holding folks to when we say 'Oh no, you can't say...' We can't say 'listen man, that's not a good thing to do' so instead we pull... Is that the right thing?" "Those among us who are without sin, cast the first stone," Goldberg said.
"He was making a comparison..." said The View co-host Joy Behar.
"I think every American has the right to voice their opinion," said co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck.
"I don't think you should be kicked off tv just for expressing yourself," said Bill Maher on his HBO weekly showReal Time, in reference to Hank's comments last week. "I am defending this guy."
"What? They pulled the song?? We count on him to gauge our nation's football readiness. If anything just give 'em a slap on the wrist," said comedian Jon Stewart. "By the way ESPN... you're shocked? By Bocephus' comments? You know, he's been at ESPN for twenty years - have you met him? ... It's Bocephus, man. He's got a song about how things would be better if the south had won. The guy fell 442 feet off a mountain, cracked open his skull so bad he had to hold in his own brain and survive... Don't act all 'oh, my goodness' when he says something down-home and gritty. That's what he's there for."
Williams decided early last week to end the relationship with ESPN, making the trip to New York today to discuss his reasoning and the topic with various national outlets.
"Mickey is a mean mouse, and he has stepped in to 'that pile'..." Hank said today, in reference to a quote from President Harry Truman, when asked about the fallout during today's segment on The View.
"America is a country of choices - we have choices and options - and I have choices and options," Hank said. When asked if he would stay out of future political discussions, he responded, "How am I gonna do that? We want you to be President, we want you to be Senator ... I ain't got time - I wanna go fishing!"
Hank is scheduled to appear tonight on Hannity (Fox News Channel) at 9pm ET / 8pm CT and will also appear on tomorrow's Joy Behar Show (HLN) 10pm ET.

About Hank Williams Jr.
With more than 70 albums to his credit, Williams has a fascinating career to reflect upon for a legend still in his prime. His discography chronicles a bold profile of growth from adored offspring of a legendary father, to titan of the modern country rock movement in his own right. For two decades, America came to its collective feet each fall Monday night when this larger than life superman of a musician looked into the camera and unleashed the national anthem for viewers of Monday Night Football - 'Are you ready for some football?' Those simple words have won Williams an entirely new generation of fans and given him the distinction of being the first country performer to ever win an Emmy. Williams has also been named Entertainer of the Year five-times, and most recently was the recipient of the 2009 Academy of Country Music "Pioneer Award".

JUSTIN MOORE’S NEW MUSIC VIDEO FEATURES
NASCAR DRIVER CARL EDWARDS

“BAIT A HOOK” PREMIERED AT #1 OVER THE WEEKEND
ON CMT’S BIG NEW MUSIC WEEKEND

FANS AT THE BANK OF AMERICA 500 ALSO GOT A SNEAK PEAK DURING THE RACE

Nashville, TN (October 17, 2011) – The Valory Music Co. recording artist Justin Moore’s new video for “Bait A Hook” debuted at #1 over the weekend as part of CMT’s BIG NEW MUSIC WEEKEND. Featuring NASCAR driver Carl Edwards, the comedic video was also shown at the Charlotte Motor Speedway during the Bank of America 500 on Saturday (10/15) for more than 100,000 fans at on the world’s largest HDTV.

ESPN was on set at the video shoot to capture some behind-the-scenes footage for a special that ran during NASCAR NOW before the race.

“Bait A Hook”, the second single from Moore’s #1 album OUTLAWS LIKE ME, is a jovial kiss-off song about an ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend. The new beau, who is somewhat lacking in manliness, can’t even “bait a hook.” Moore’s jealous suspicions about his ex’s new flame turn out to be less than accurate when the two compare the size of their catch.

Moore met his favorite driver, Carl Edwards, for the first time in May after performing at the Brickyard 400 Presented by BigMachineRecords.com. The Country star was invited to watch the race from the Racing Royalty’s pit box, sparking discussion about a cameo.

"Carl's a great guy and it was a blast having him on set. What a cool experience hanging out on the lake and fishing with my favorite driver. I really appreciated him doing it,” said Moore.

Early last week, Moore was nominated for an American Country Award for Artist of the Year – Breakthrough Artist. Fans can vote from now until November 11 at www.theacas.com. The televised event will air on December 5 on FOX at 8:00PM EST.

ABOUT JUSTIN MOORE: Justin Moore’s star has grown significantly since he was named Billboard's “Top New Country Artist of 2009.” This Southern Country stylist has sold over 2.2 million digital downloads to date and his sophomore album OUTLAWS LIKE ME hit the #1 spot the week it was released. OUTLAWS LIKE ME includes the fastest-rising single of Moore’s career, “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away,” which ascended to the #1 spot. His debut album scored three consecutive smash singles (the #1 “Small Town USA” as well as the hits “Backwoods” and “How I Got To Be This Way”). He has been profiled by publications from The Washington Post, People Country and Billboard to USA Today. Additionally, his debut was recognized by the New York Times as one of the best albums of 2009. National TV appearances include NPR, WGN Midday News, FOX, Associated Press and Better TV while his music has been featured on Hannity & Colmes and NFL Rewind. Having just wrapped up a summer tour with Rascal Flatts, he will hit the road with Darius Rucker later this fall. Currently, Moore is playing dates with Miranda Lambert and will open for Blake Shelton in 2012. For music and more, visit www.moorejustinmusic.com.
ABOUT CARL EDWARDS: In just seven short years Carl Edwards has had a storied NASCAR career, moving his way from the Camping World Truck Series to NASCAR’s elite Sprint Cup Series, winning a Nationwide Series Championship and chalking up numerous wins in between.  He is considered one of NASCAR’s most voracious competitors. In the first 10 years of his career, Carl Edwards accumulated two NASCAR-sanctioned track championships, three Rookie-of-the-Year honors, and over 75 feature wins while racing on both dirt and pavement tracks across the country.  The drive and determination that Edwards showed in those 10 years launched him into a successful NASCAR career that continues into 2011. Amidst a haze of sepia-tinged delirium, the swirling reverb-cloaked concoctions of Toronto, Canada’s Memoryhouse exist to soundtrack the indelible moments residing in the obscure backrooms of memory. Translating songwriter Evan Abeele’s experience with classical modes and modern ambient composition, Memoryhouse create vivid depictions of surrealist beauty, unfolding with crystalline clarity and with a gentle vulnerability both lush and subtle. Accompanied by singer Denise Nouvion’s tender, nostalgic vocal delivery, Memoryhouse renders the blending of the contemporary with the forgotten, the traditional and the technological, the visual and the aural, forged within the sonographic landscapes of ‘dream pop’.

ALIEN ANT FARM
SIGNS NEW LABEL DEAL WITH EXECUTIVE MUSIC GROUP;

FIRST NEW ALBUM SINCE 2006
WITH THE ORIGINAL LINE-UP
SET FOR RELEASE SPRING 2012

October 4, 2011 -- ALIEN ANT FARM is proud to announce their new deal with the Executive Music Group label via Fontana/Universal.  The original line-up--Dryden Mitchell (lead vocals), Mike Cosgrove (drums), Terry Corso (guitar), Tye Zamora (bass)--will start to work on their fourth album in November and is looking to release it Spring 2012.  It’ll be their first release since 2006's UP IN THE ATTIC, which spawned the hit single “Forgive And Forget,” and the first with the original line-up since 2003.

“We are pretty excited for the year to come,” declares guitarist Terry Corso.  “We just came off of a three-month tour in the U.S. that made us realize that with the original line-up back together, we have fire and hunger again.  That being said, we can hardly wait to hit the studio and start putting a new record together.  We’ve been writing on and off for the past year and have a really good pile of new material.  Basically the goal is to write another pile.  With a fresh new collection, we hope to get our core fans excited, as well as turn some brand new listeners on to the ALIEN ANT FARM sound and show the world we have a lot more to offer than the average rock band.”

“The timing of ALIEN ANT FARM signing to Executive Music Group is priceless,” said EMG President Jacob Capricciuolo. “During a time where EMG is exploding and our philosophy is to ‘hustle,’ I feel together success is imminent.  I couldn’t be more proud of their work ethic and their willingness to do whatever it takes to be successful.”  As EMG Vice President Jimmy Swan continues:  "For 10 years, I have used ALIEN ANT FARM's ‘Smooth Criminal’ to show all my bands the perfect example of how to cover a song.  Being a huge fan of the band, it is an honor to be able to work with them.  Having the original members back in the line up will give the fans what they have been waiting for.”

This week they’re traveling to the U.K. to participate in the “Michael Forever Tribute” on October 8 along with Black Eyed Peas, Cee Lo Green, Christina Aquilera, Ne-Yo, Smokey Robinson and others.  The band will be performing two Michael Jackson songs, including their smash hit #1 single, a remake of “Smooth Criminal.”

“Being a part of the Michael Jackson tribute is an incredible honor for ALIEN ANT FARM,” proclaims singer Dryden Mitchell.  “I love the idea that we will be the only rock band there. Michael just won't stop providing HUGE platforms for us to get noticed!  My first concert was Michael Jackson on his Victory Tour at Dodger Stadium when I was 10 years old.  Fast forward to all that he has done for my life.  Simply amazing when I take a step back and try to take it all in.  I LOVE THE MAN!  Incredible to say the least.”

ALIEN ANT FARM recently wrapped up their 60-date U.S. “ANTicipation Tour,” which had the band performing in front of capacity crowds at every stop.  It was their first headlining tour—on their own new bus--since the fatal 2002 bus crash that killed the band’s driver and left singer Dryden Mitchell with a broken vertebrae.  Lots more touring is already on tap for 2012.  As Dryden proclaims, “In 2012, if them pesky Mayans are wrong...a bus load of touring to support a brand new stellar record.  Naked hugs for all who come out.”

The Southern California band started their music career in 2001 with ANThology, which was released on Papa Roach’s New Noize imprint on DreamWorks Records.  Thanks to the #1 single, “Smooth Criminal,” the album reached double-Platinum status.  2003’s truANT, produced by Stone Temple Pilots’ Dean and Robert DeLeo, cracked the Top 25 and “Glow” hit #1 on charts outside the U.S. despite the imminent folding of its record label.  The band has toured all over the world with Linkin Park, Metallica, 311, and Papa Roach, and has sold over 3.5 million records worldwide.

More details about the new album and forthcoming tour plans will be announced in the coming months.
