Los Angeles, CA - Record producer, DJ and music executive Steve Aoki launches his new track “LIT” with Yellow Claw featuring T-Pain and Gucci Mane. T-Pain invokes Queen’s “We Are the Champions” on the chorus for “LIT,” laid down in Aoki’s Las Vegas studio with Yellow Claw and shipped off to Gucci Mane to round it out with a verse.

“The third installment in the first Kolony album is ‘Lit’ with Yellow Claw, Gucci Mane and T-Pain. A head banger for sure guaranteed to get you LIT!” – Steve Aoki

“LIT” comes off the announcement of Steve Aoki Presents KOLONY, due for release July 21 via Dim Mak Records / Ultra Records, his first full turn into rap music. With nearly 10 years of hip-hop collaborations, Aoki describes it as “bridging the gap” between genres and is stacked with hard-hitting rhymes from some of the most prominent lyricists today, including Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, Migos, 2 Chainz, ILOVEMAKONNEN, Wale, and more.

"Steve Aoki has a remarkable ability of blending new sounds together."

KOLONY’s release comes off of the back of his pop driven single last December, Aoki's uplifting collab with One Direction member Louis Tomlinson “Just Hold On”, which debuted at #1 in 43 countries and has since achieved Gold or Platinum status in 18 countries. Aoki also earned his second Grammy nomination this past year for the Best Music Film category for his Netflix original documentary I'll Sleep When I'm Dead, which chronicles his fast-paced life as a DJ/producer by offering a firsthand look into his world. The film debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival last spring to a sold-out audience.

Aoki recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of his legendary imprint Dim Mak, his independent label founded in 1996 encompassing everything from edgy rock to trendsetting electro, celebrating at major festivals around the world and with the release of a special edition compilation album.

Yellow Claw is an EDM DJ/producer duo from Amsterdam, Netherlands. Their music is a mix of wide range of genres and often incorporates elements from trap, hip hop, dubstep, hardstyle and moombahton. Earlier this month, Yellow Claw released their latest album “Los Amsterdam”, that showcases a variety pack of EDM bangers, including their lead single “Home (featuring Sophie Simmons)”.

A hip-hop legend, Gucci Mane founded 1017 Records in 2007 after his departure from Mizay Entertainment and the closing of So Icey. He helped pioneer the hip hop subgenre trap music, alongside fellow Atlanta-based rappers T.I. and Young Jeezy. Gucci Mane’s latest hit release “Tone It Down” featuring Chris Brown dropped June 20.

T-Pain is the founder of the record label imprint Nappy Boy Entertainment, established in 2005. Throughout his career as a singer, T-Pain is best known for using and popularizing the creative use of the Auto-Tune pitch correction effect, used with extreme parameter settings to create distinctive vocal sounds. From 2006 to 2010, T-Pain was featured on more than 50 chart topping singles, his most successful feature to date was on Flo Rida's debut single "Low", which has since been certified 6x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
