TRAPT Unleash “Human (Like The Rest Of Us)” Music Video
+ Read an Official Statement from Vocalist Chris Taylor Brown

Sixth Studio Album DNA Coming This Fall via Crash Collide

trapt

Chart-topping hard rock group TRAPT have been at the top of the headlines lately, primarily relating to vocalist Chris Taylor Brown verbalizing his opinions about various subjects, whether political, personal or beyond. In a recent interview with Loudwire, Brown addresses what has become a rather tumultuous past few months on social media, taking ownership of his recent comments regarding rumoured altercations with fellow musicians and various other publicized opinions. You can read Part one of the interview here: http://loudwire.com/trapt-chris-taylor-brown-recent-altercations-outbursts/

What many do not know is that these events have not coincidentally lead up to the release of TRAPT’s new single and music video “Human (Like The Rest Of Us)”, which touches upon the theme that all of us are human, imperfect, and often make mistakes. Watch the new music video for “Human” (a Rind-Raja Picture Company production, produced by Roth Rind and directed by Jay K. Raja) exclusively via Loudwire here: http://loudwire.com/trapt-human-like-the-rest-of-us-exclusive-video-premiere/

Brown states, “We are all bound by the emotions that we as Humans are capable of feeling. When we numb ourselves, because the pain is too great, we are no longer Human. To be imperfect, to be emotional is Human. Your emotions guide you. Listen to them. They will allow you to feel empathy towards others and others to feel you, but only if you allow it. Open up and FEEL! Do not be afraid. The only way we can come together as one HUMAN RACE is through understanding each other. The only way to understand is to FEEL, even when it hurts the most. When you are hurting the most, others will feel it too. They will help you, as you do them. #Humanaboveall”

While certain recent social media conversations of Brown’s have not been completely random and without planning, he does recognize his imperfect humanity and that some of his recent comments have been made relatively off-the-cuff and potentially received as insensitive by some. Read an official statement from Chris Taylor Brown regarding his recent social media comments regarding racial topics below:

“First off, I want to say that I am imperfect, but that is what makes me who I am and what I think is part of being Human. This brings me to the recent spat of verbal barbs I threw around a few weeks ago that at times sounded mean and much like bullying. It should be easy to shrug off insults that have nothing to do with the subject you are talking about and are only meant to get a rise out of you, but I did not shrug it off and the way I went about defending myself is definitely not the way one should go about spreading a message and I apologize to anyone I may have offended. The message gets lost when you engage in this way.

I read all of these words about one group of people having certain privileges over another based solely on the color of their skin and it doesn't sit right with me. I don't mean to poke fun at the whole thing, but, I did, and I take full responsibility for anyone who may have been hurt by me making fun of the white privilege concept. I have my views and want to express unity through music. I believe that we are all bound by the ability to feel the same emotions and that love and understanding can and do bring people of all races together. Anyone who wishes to segregate themselves can do so, while the rest of us move forward, as we have been for decades. I also believe that there are original sins and acknowledging them through the many advances that this country has made in regard to civil rights, go very far in showing how a country can come together for the greater good. We just made it possible for any human being to marry any other human being, how is that for progress?

I admit that I can come across as harsh when my passion precedes me. If anything I have ever said comes across as racist, that was not my intention. If saying that "white privilege is the sole reason for one human being having more privilege over another" is not true, makes someone feel as though, I or the band that I front is racist, then let me tell you now that this could not be further from the truth. Growing up in a mixed race household and having a side of the family whose roots start in Mexico versus a side of the family with roots in The United Kingdom, I have seen how people can be mistrusting of others based upon what they do not understand about them. Once they understand each other and get to know more about each other those walls are broken down. Understanding comes through clear messages and those that feel they need to be heard, should do all they can to be heard. I hate having to read how some people think that this can all be dumbed down to "the complexion of one's skin." I have a problem with one group of people being singled out on the basis of their skin color.

Again, the moral of the story is how you spread your message and what you want to say. Passion can trip you up. It tripped me up and I allowed the narrative to take turns that did not help spread the message I want to spread. I came across as racist to some, because I chose not to give merit to the idea that only skin complexion grants privilege. I want to tell anyone who is listening now that I believe every man and woman on this planet can rise together, but only through understanding each other’s struggles.”

Head back to Loudwire early next week to read Part two of Chris Taylor Brown’s in-depth interview regarding these recent events.

AMERICANA SINGER-SONGWRITER JULIE BELLE RELEASES NEW SINGLE "BURNING"

YOU WERE YOUNGER EP TO BE RELEASED SEPTEMBER 18TH!
[Premiered with Elmore Magazine]

["Burning" Soundcloud Stream]

["Burning" Soundcloud Stream]

Los Angeles, CA - August 28, 2015 - Singer-songwriter Julie Belle has released her country-tinged new single "Burning." The track is the first release off of her upcoming EP You Were Younger, slated for a September 18th release. "Burning" is available to stream on Elmore and on Julie's official Soundcloud.

Burning reflects on Julie Belle's childhood and growing up near Detroit, which has undoubtedly deeply informed her music, both in lyric and in sound. Just like Detroit, Julie's music is sad but sweet, broken-hearted but hopeful, with no frills and no gimmicks-fueled by honest reflections of struggle, stories of survival, and unrelenting resilience.

"I thought Burning was a love song when I wrote it," Belle explained. "I was halfway right. Sometimes I think I know what a song is about, but later after some time has passed, it changes. In this case, the song seems to have evolved from a love song into a breakup song. That's what I love about music--it grows with you. If you're in love, you can find yourself in it. And if you're heartbroken, you can find yourself in it, too."

Growing up in a home with a mother who doubled as a piano teacher made music an easy path for Julie Belle. By the time she was four years old she was learning to read music-even before she learned to read English. In 2011, Julie released her long-awaited debut EP, Run, in which she reflects on her young divorce and her uncertainty in how to move forward. "I should have called that first EP 'Songs from a Tired Heart.' I listen to those songs now and can't believe how vulnerable they are. I was too tired to be anything but honest."

Julie Belle will be releasing her new EP, You Were Younger, on September 18th.

THOMAS RHETT UNVEILS NEW MUSIC THROUGH WEEKLY VIDEOS, STARTING TODAY

Pre-Order TANGLED UP Now to Download A New Song Instantly, Leading Up to September 25 Release

Cover Art Courtesy of The Valory Music Co.
Nashville, TN (August 28, 2015) – With his “bold song selections, borrowing choice trimmings from around the musical universe and pushing the Country-music needle even farther” (Rolling Stone), multi-PLATINUM artist THOMAS RHETT is sharing new music off his upcoming TANGLED UP (The Valory Music Co.) out September 25. Beginning today, Vevo will premiere a new video every Friday mirroring the track fans will simultaneously receive as an instant iTunes download for pre-ordering the forthcoming album. Pre-order here: http://smarturl.it/TangledUp.

“With a little under a month until TANGLED UP comes out, I am pumped to start sharing some more music off this record,” said Thomas Rhett. “I wanted to start with a track that just feels good and is fun, so here we go with ‘Vacation.’ Clearly, with lyrics like ‘Billabong bikini’ and ‘solo cup amplifier,’ the song is about having a good time, whether you actually are on vacation – like we are in the video – or just kicking back in a kiddie pool in your backyard."

Filmed last month during a personal vacation in Hawaii, the warm-weather video for "Vacation" highlights sunny adventures as Thomas Rhett unwinds. The content features home videos with his wife Lauren and their friends. Watch here:
http://smarturl.it/VacationVevo.

Thomas Rhett's Top 5 and GOLD-certified “Crash And Burn” is the fastest rising single of his career and serves as the lead single of his upcoming sophomore release TANGLED UP. Having already notched three consecutive chart-topping hits off his debut effort, the CMA and ACM New Artist of the Year nominee initially garnered attention as a gifted songwriter with credits including hits by Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean and Lee Brice. It is Thomas Rhett's “high-energy all the way” (El Paso Times) live show that has “the audience dancing all the way up in the rafters of the stadium” (Billboard) that continues to catch the attention of critics out on the road. He will headline the CMT Tour this fall, for full list of upcoming tour dates visit www.thomasrhett.com.

NASHVILLE, TN (August 26, 2015) – Proving that adolescent fantasies truly can become a reality, buzz-worthy band THE CADILLAC THREE will boldly return to hometown haunt The Cannery Ballroom (1 Cannery Row) on Saturday, September 19 at 8:00P. Tickets to see the brash, yet beloved, Nashville natives sold out in less than one week and highlights just how far these high school friends have come. Even Superstar acts like Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, Eli Young Band are pumped. Hear what they think of TC3: http://youtu.be/MFZskxJiZf8.

Jaren Johnston (Guitar & Lead Vocals), Neil Mason (Drums, Percussion & Vocals) and Kelby Ray (Bass Steel Guitar, Dobro, Acoustic & Vocals) plan to give the capacity crowd a high-energy, uninhibited musical party with a few surprises.

“Damn, we started playing music to grow out our hair and meet chicks,” laughs Jaren. “We've seen some of our favorite bands here so it’s cool to sell out The Cannery. Hopefully our fans will make similar memories.”

“We haven’t really played a headline date in Nashville since 2013 so we’re pretty excited for this show,” added Neil. “Plus, it’ll be nice to see our family and sleep in our own beds.”

While the venue may be maxed out, fans will still be able to rock from wherever they are that night through a live stream across
Big Machine’s iHeart Radio channel.

“Our fans always come out in full force!” chimed in Kelby. “It just makes sense to offer them all a chance to catch the show and join the party from wherever they are.”

It’s no wonder TC3 secured a slot as one of Rolling Stone Country’s “10 New Artists You Need to Know” and was named UK Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards Best New Band. Their intense performances, gritty sonic instincts, casual demeanors and killer songwriting prowess have earned TC3 an ACM Vocal Event of the Year nomination while Jaren scored GRAMMY nods for RISER (Dierks Bentley) & “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s” (Tim McGraw), in addition to penning #1 hits for Keith Urban, Jake Owen and Billy Currington. Their eclectic catalogue also features album cuts for Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Miranda Lambert, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jack’s Mannequin, Meat Loaf and more.

TC3 will hit the road this fall with Chase Rice but have already received rave reviews from their headline dates, summer festivals and tours with Eric Church and Lee Brice:
"…it's an unrefined live show you won't want to miss."
PASTE

“…the majority of today’s so called country rockers are simply trying to emulate what The Cadillac Three has been from their very beginning.”
Chicago Sun-Times

“The blazing brand of country rock plied by The Cadillac Three burns down genre boundaries.”
The Boston Globe

“…purveyors of countrified rock’n’roll with a metallic bite that sits halfway between Merle Haggard and Metallica…”
Class Rock Magazine

“… a band with a hard rock sound and catchy, easy-to-get-into lyrics that also has a grit and authenticity…”
Saving Country Music

Easily shifting gears in their set from beat-laden anthems like “The South” and “Party Like You,” TC3’s latest offering on Big Machine Records is an unconventional love song Jaren penned for his wife Evyn. Watch the music video for “White Lightning" via

Forgotten Space
Grateful Dead Tribute

Friday, November 6th
Doors 8pm, Show 9pm
$12 Flat

FORGOTTEN SPACE is a Texas based Grateful Dead tribute band comprised of six diverse musicians with a deep understanding and respect for the rich and varied Grateful Dead songbook. Formed in 2006, the band has continuously grown both in it's popularity and it's repertoire. All the while, they have meticulously bridged the gap between creating the sound and feel of the Grateful Dead experience and finding the balanced, tasteful space to express their own personal identities as musicians. Staying true to form, the instrumentation of two guitars, bass, keyboards, two drummers, and strong three and four part vocal harmonies creates an incredibly accurate representation of the real enchilada. Add to that a willingness to explore arrangements from all eras of the Dead's body of work (1965-1995), and you end up with an all out, explosive mixture of good vibes, endless dance party, and deep space musical exploration which engages Deadheads and non-Deadheads alike.

Honey Island Swamp Band
Wednesday, September 16th
Doors 7pm, Show 8pm
$10 Advance $12 Day of Show

Great music begins with great songs, and great songs are what the Honey Island Swamp Band is all about. The band's music has been described as "Bayou Americana", with timeless songs from Wilkinson & Mulé, highlighted by Mulé's searing guitar, Wilkinson's sure-handed mandolin, and 4-part vocal harmonies, all anchored by the powerful groove of Price & Paul's Louisiana stomp rhythm section. The addition of Trevor Brooks on Hammond B-3 organ to the HISB family in 2010 has rounded out the band’s sound, which draws from a variety of influences in the world of roots music, including artists such as Lowell George & Little Feat, The Band, Taj Mahal, Gram Parsons, Jerry Garcia, Johnny Cash, Jimmy Reed, Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, and New Orleans’ own Earl King and Dr. John.
